Query: Do these patches make a difference to those of us who do not have performance issues? I have 1GB of RAM and a Radeon Fire Mobility T2 with 128MB VRAM (I think that's equivalent to a 9700), and I never noticed any stuttering. Would it make my installation even more TEH R0Xx0rRRzZZ1Z ?

It seems pretty obvious that the guy likes modding for it's own reward, so there is certainly no harm in creating a mod. If you are coming down on him for posting here before it's complete, then you should bear in mind he was advertising for some team members. Don't just rain on his parade because you're bored; that's not nice.

It's not like the developers are making it up: just today I received a notice form my constabulary to inform the residents that a local club is filing for a pole-dancing licence. (Not surprising, really, considering the club is a dive and how much money is to be made form the saddoes that frequent such places.)

I'ma just teasing. Yep, it does such that there is a tendency for games to be optimised for a chipset: there are apparently loads of little nVidia acceleration routines built into the Doom 3 engine.

The last thing in the world Zaalbar would do is betray his best friend. But, he had pledged a life-debt to Revan, and so he had to choose his loyalties. (It would have been interesting to have Zaalbar randomly choose either Mission or attack Revan or kill himslef (or something else?).) Regardless, that was clever scripting. More of that.

Feel free to drop out, if you prefer. I would rather have only those who want to play, playing. There is no more virtue in the tyranny of the majority than in any other tyranny. The alternative is that the game is played by those who want to play under the present circumstances. If not, wait for the next game. Or become the GM of one, for others, and make your own decisions. As Nartwak didn't appear for two turns in a row, normally (without substitution) his place would be vacated. Again, if you really don't like the game as is, please don't play.
