  1. The level cap stopped my PC from gaining experience after the penultimate planet. And, with eighteen Jedi levels, I ran out of Force Powers to assign, and started giving them "Force Break Wind Silently" and "Force Give Unfortunate Better Life Without Them Knowing Who Or Why".
  2. http://pc.ign.com/articles/666/666403p1.html ZOMG! KotOR3 CONFIRMED USING THE NEW ELECTRON ENGINE!
  3. ... Alignment and morality in general are going to play very important roles in this sequel thanks to the relative fluidity of character alignment. Any paladin seeking to slaughter a helpless old woman might find themselves in a bit of a pickle. As it is in real life, it's much easier to fall down into the cellar than it is to climb your way back out. ... Very good. I like this. ... Much of these consequences will be visible thanks to the companion system. Players will be able to take three of these characters (with more than 10 total choices) with them to help with combat (they can be directly controlled or AI controlled) or interact with. In fact, lots of story will be focused around these extra characters. Where Neverwinter Nights used "henchmen" as battle partners most of the time, these new "companions" will be much more than walking meat with weapons in the eyes of a gamer. Much like those in Knights of the Old Republic 2, these characters will have their own motivations and needs. How you talk to them and treat them will not only change your relationships but also alter the story and even the companion alignments. ... Worrying. I hope the issues we experienced in K2 have all been addressed adequately (e.g. shallow companions and backstories). ... Also shown were day/night cycles which bring the sun around to cast correct shadows during the day and cast a blanket of stars over the world at night. ... Does this mean there will be a more accurate representation of the passage of time in the game? ... But while Obsidian is hard at work trying to finish up Neverwinter Nights 2 for a summer release, they're also hard at work on another unannounced project. All we have at the moment is speculation based off of some concept art of dwarves resembling those popularized by Snow White but we do know is that this new game will use Unreal Engine 3. Urquhart also mentioned their desire to do a Knights of the Old Republic 3 should LucasArts desire it in the future. I'd be surprised if they didn't. ... ZOMG! 4. Yeah. Outlaw Josey Wales.
  5. Just don't level up. Actually, there was no reason outside exhaustive research to do this; I found I had far too many Jedi levels when I remained at level 2 until Dantooine (and I lost all my stat bonuses, too).

  7. That's just marketing: a sunk cost in the development.
  8. I don't want to date you.
  9. Where do I petition to update the questions?
  10. I thought that some of the questions were examples of Plurium Interrogationum; i.e. loaded questions. "Why did you stop beating your wife? "A. She cooked dinner. "B. She stopped hitting me. "C. I never stopped."
  11. You don't use a smiley for an intellectual-communist-and-natural-next-in-line-who-is-double-crossed-and-has-to-flee-for-his-life-and-yet-still-manages-to-cause-problems-expatriotally-until-the-KGB-catch-up-to-him-in-Mexico regularly? There should be a Zing! (maybe a Zorro smiley) and bongo (Rum-pum-pum) and a smiley with glasses for comic-book-nerd: okay, settle down all you people who wear 'em: stop making a spectacle of yourselves!)
  12. There are sex-workers in Africa that are exposed daily to HIV with seemingly no deleterious effects; also there have been a number of babies born to HIV positive mothers that have tested positive and then tested negative. All of these people are in serious long-term studies to help medicine understand the virus.
  13. Lest we forget, Wals, the ONLY positives are dying for a cause you believe in and never growing old. My father joined up underage (nineteen) to the Sixth Division (Sixteenth Brigade) training in "Palestine" for the advance to Benghazi with General Wavell. Then, after being bombed out of Crete by the German Stukas and rescued by the Royal Navy (a British Captain rammed his destroyer into the sinking troop ship my father was on to enable the troops to jump straight onto the deck), he was given a couple of weeks R&R before being re-deployed into New Guinea along the Kokoda Trail. He fell ill with malaria twice, once in the Middle East and once in the Pacific and came close to death. His mother (my Grandmother, whose father was in the Irish Guard) was very worried when all three of her sons went off to war; fortunately all three came back (Arthur was also a digger, but their brother, my uncle, Bruce (!!) won a DFC in the Battle of Britain). He died about five years ago (December 19, 1999). He used to be fond of saying, about his nose, "Never lost a fight". I miss him.
  14. Colourblind males can't tell the difference. I like to remove all trace of wires as well (plenum cabling, anyone?). There is a war of the genders currently raging around us. It is the male/female black/silver dichotomy. Normally these two schemes do not clash (e.g. office/kitchen), but there are common areas (even though there are more square footage in the black areas), like the living room ...
  15. And variable force attributable to the coefficient of the gradient and the perpendicular gravitational force of the planet in whatever multiverse it inhabits. Boy that burns me when it ain't there.
  16. Next thing someone will say that Luke is related to Vader.
  17. I blame the communists. Or the Communards.
  18. You may not be so happy when you see what the lead programmer has done with your beautiful drawings ... "
  19. Not every community module requires either or both expansions; not too sure about the premium mods. (There were features added for each of SoU and HotU expansions, and without both you cannot use, for example the prestige classes from that expansion.) There are about six different relationship endings and two different combat endings for HotU. Hardly trillions.

  25. Manaan had bathospheric submarine areas; I was thinking more Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan on Naboo ... ... but Sharkies are cool. Taris is still there. (Over there!) It's just had the surface pattern bombed and all the artificial structures razed. The new PC will be one of the undercity villagers that had left for the "Promised Land", after all.
