  1. I didn't kill the last space invader on my first game: it was travelling too fast for me. :">
  2. I think I've heard of this before. Try googling the exact error.
  3. And the presence of Jedi changes that?
  4. Ah, but the truly
  5. Might be copyright. Still, a general review wouldn't be ...
  6. only have this link at present: linky-dink
  7. It helps when there is no logical way I can be wrong.
  8. You're forgetting the total lack of ability in the government to organise a drinking session in a brewery. I saw a headline today that reported the cost of Public Service pensions is estimated at
  9. I think I have just the girl for you, now, it might seem a little strange, considering neither of you have given me a profile yet, but judging from the infromation I have, this is your current match: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's Bizarro-Launch!
  10. My brother did that to a girl once.
  11. There exists a genre as described? Gibert Western Glam Rock Sullivan?
  12. I've locked all the mods down. You guys are no fun. Next time I'll post without the link. That'll fool 'em.
  13. Or buying a CRT if you have the room. They cost more to run, are subject to burn-in, and are capable of frying / carcinogenising any small objects placed in the unschielded zone near them (behind the monitor), but they are about half the price of the thin screens. And Philips are testing a roll-up plastic screen (initially for their hand-held computing designs), so LCDs aren't going to be around forever ...
  14. 386s are the chips that have been implanted into all the "intelligent" home objects, like refridgerators and irons.
  15. "Dying ain't much of a living, boy."
  16. Ah, Venn.
  17. The level cap stopped my PC from gaining experience after the penultimate planet. And, with eighteen Jedi levels, I ran out of Force Powers to assign, and started giving them "Force Break Wind Silently" and "Force Give Unfortunate Better Life Without Them Knowing Who Or Why".
  18. http://pc.ign.com/articles/666/666403p1.html ZOMG! KotOR3 CONFIRMED USING THE NEW ELECTRON ENGINE!
  19. ... Alignment and morality in general are going to play very important roles in this sequel thanks to the relative fluidity of character alignment. Any paladin seeking to slaughter a helpless old woman might find themselves in a bit of a pickle. As it is in real life, it's much easier to fall down into the cellar than it is to climb your way back out. ... Very good. I like this. ... Much of these consequences will be visible thanks to the companion system. Players will be able to take three of these characters (with more than 10 total choices) with them to help with combat (they can be directly controlled or AI controlled) or interact with. In fact, lots of story will be focused around these extra characters. Where Neverwinter Nights used "henchmen" as battle partners most of the time, these new "companions" will be much more than walking meat with weapons in the eyes of a gamer. Much like those in Knights of the Old Republic 2, these characters will have their own motivations and needs. How you talk to them and treat them will not only change your relationships but also alter the story and even the companion alignments. ... Worrying. I hope the issues we experienced in K2 have all been addressed adequately (e.g. shallow companions and backstories). ... Also shown were day/night cycles which bring the sun around to cast correct shadows during the day and cast a blanket of stars over the world at night. ... Does this mean there will be a more accurate representation of the passage of time in the game? ... But while Obsidian is hard at work trying to finish up Neverwinter Nights 2 for a summer release, they're also hard at work on another unannounced project. All we have at the moment is speculation based off of some concept art of dwarves resembling those popularized by Snow White but we do know is that this new game will use Unreal Engine 3. Urquhart also mentioned their desire to do a Knights of the Old Republic 3 should LucasArts desire it in the future. I'd be surprised if they didn't. ... ZOMG! 20. Just don't level up. Actually, there was no reason outside exhaustive research to do this; I found I had far too many Jedi levels when I remained at level 2 until Dantooine (and I lost all my stat bonuses, too).
  21. :Eldar's-resting-his-weary-head-in-his-hands-smiley:
  22. That's just marketing: a sunk cost in the development.
