  1. There were three towers in the last gate I closed, and the first two had
  2. You bring it on yourself, by making outlandish statements about how poor the PS3 will be, yet you slavishly bought an Xbox 360 the moment it was released, despite the obvious drawbacks: like no games to play at launch.
  3. Update: I tend to get a lot of blunt weapons, at the moment. I'm just about to do the redhoods' secret enclave in the hill. I turned the difficulty down during last night's session, and I must say it was refreshing not to have to struggle with the mouse and keyboard, whilst my screen dipped to single digit framerates. I still don't understand how my PC hits an enemy, so I just spam attack, as my block skill isn't strong enough to assist ...
  4. Puzzles have two states really. Either you know the answer or you dont. I'm not suggesting that you don't have puzzles. Rather I'm saying that there isnt any point going to extreme lengths because people will simply look up the answer. Then you get into replayability. In which case unless the puzzle changes in a dynamic manner it's no longer a puzzle since you know the answer from your previous playthrough. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bioware handled that pretty well in the second expansion of NwN: HotU. The end had a randomized bunch of motives, roles and solutions for the final characters. I agree, though, it should be something that the character has to discover, not the player ... even though I generally know all the riddles (I would hope so after this amount of time!).
  5. As long as the tutorial is engaging, I don't see a problem. The tutorial in K2 was not one I wanted to do more than once. The tutorial in Oblivion suffers from an extreme linearity: I couldn't actually kill the King, for example, even though I got a few good slashes in ... The point is that if the tutorial does its job correctly, then people will learn about D&D 3.5, so that new and experienced D&D players alike can make an informed decision about characters and races, etc. Yah! Unreal 3 engine on the PC!
  6. It can also use its horn as an extra attack ... ... or a paper spike.
  7. Thief? If so, update it before venturing any further. The gae will rset the difficulty to normal every time you load a save game. Very annoying, if you play on other than normal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just bought Thief 1 & 2 (double pack), and I look forward to playing it soon ...
  8. Tell him to call Hades. "
  9. I think he was just happy to have an excuse to be rid of the whole life-in-a-goldfish-bowl. " (Interesting comparison.)
  10. If you need an excuse to buy one, buy it as cheap blu ray player rather than a console <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why would I buy a blu-ray player?, what would I play in it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More than you can play on your XBox 360, right now! :D
  11. Now you're just showing off ... ... or winding Gabs up! "
  12. I'm sure it will be great, once there are some games published for it. "
  13. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ditto. I do enjoy the "hunt for the G-Man" threads in the Half-Life forum. :D
  14. Disco. My first character was born under the Atronach, so she just wandered around soaking up fireballs from imps. :D So I thought I wanted a better sign: one with more luck, too. Because, like Napoleon, I'd rather be lucky than talented.
  15. Still the same.
  16. I think you're talking about Edward VIII, and he voluntarily abdicated in 1936 rather than bring controversy onto the British throne (because he loved and wanted to marry a divorced woman).
  17. I think you should talk to some people in the Armed forces before you speak for them.
  18. Yeah, you're right. Who would want to blow up anywhere in Ohio. That's about as likely as Iowa ...
  19. Rubbish. For a start, the Queen can disolve parliament. Secondly, every soldier in the armed forces (and the Commonwealth) swears allegiance to the Queen.
  20. Who the hell is that? "Yes, we're all different!" Voice from the crowd: "I'm not." Me likey.
  21. A troublemaker ... "
  22. The monarchy in Britain works well because the Queen has an unequalled commitment to duty. She has met with every Prime Minister every week, for fifty years. That's a lot of intel ...
  23. Please ensure to remove the spam and sand from your shoes as you exit the pit.
  24. He love you looooooong time.
