Firstly, that is the most ingenious reversal of reality I have read in a long time! Secondly, that presupposes that the "console QA" team is better and/or more diligent than the PC QA team.

WTF? How did you get from 911 to Area 51? First, I guess all those people jumping from the towers were just disaffected thrill seekers ... or maybe the CIA had some homicidal suicide agents making people jump at gun point? Secondly, Area 51 is just a secret military research base (most probably): the whole UFO mythos gave the US a couple of decades' lead in supersonic technology, whilst everyone was talking about crop circles and animal experimentation (and the USSR were ignoring it all). That's why the US has Stealth Bombers, and the USSR can't even make a duplicate Space Shuttle.
