  1. Mines and ladders? Hmmm. I shall enjoy turning over every brick in Paris ... I've already solved all the puzzles in (slightly-to-totally) different ways.
  2. Must have missed that particular romance ... then again, my PC razes forests, so is not likely to be endeared to any hippy druids. "
  3. I hope you are referring to the bit of MJ12 in central Paris that I am very familiar with ..!
  4. Um, why can't unsupervised sports be underwritten by a similar waiver? Until someone tries to gouge out your eyeballs and detaches the retina with them. :(
  5. Really? What was your opinion of them before?
  6. I was really disapointed that FFXI was a MMORPG. Otherwise I would have bought it.
  7. try here and here
  8. I thought the interiors were v. good: it was difficult to tell they were tiles!
  9. I'm enjoying the subterranean Versalife levels in Hong Kong.
  10. Um, they've played catch-up a lot and implemented many of the Mozilla browser features, so it should be an easy transition / pleasant experience. k
  11. So there isn't really a problem then. It's more a matter of managing the over-zealous litigious culture of the US, not altering the exercising habits of the nation.
  12. Yeah, I think that's an oversimplification. And the regional powers already have their eeeeeevil tentacles in Iraq. That suggestion comes from (at least one member of) the Iraqi government: bring in the regional players Jordan, Saudi, Iran, Syria, Kuwait, and also the big international players, like Russia, France, China(?), etc. The Iranians might actually start acting like the mature civilization they are, if they don't have to worry about an Iraq threat, for example. Maybe. "
  13. They are just trying to add value, which is something they can charge for. If you don't like Sony's brand of all-in-one, then you are free to buy the components and build your own. I find Dell's avalanche of software much more irritating.
  14. Yeah, I thought there might be some cross-chat about PS3 and convergence devices, but strictly speaking it's a tech topic.
  15. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a mention of it (and all the Wizards of the Coast products) in there somewhere, whether it is just a pamphlet or a character or even a sidequest.
  16. If they port it to the PC (well) then I'll consider it.
  17. I tend to disagree with your first assessment and agree with your second; I think that a good _representative_ model of a virtual world is better than photo-realistic grass and soil (-erosion). Of course, better graphics are always welcome (except when they come at the expense of critical elements, like writing), but I feel the virtual worlds created by NwN2 are very immersive. At least that is how I feel looking at the fly-over views in the videos. Civilization 2, for example, modelled a virtual landscape enough to draw me into the game.
  18. Awesome. I was going to ask if anyone picked this up. I just noticed on TV that it's out for the 360. I assume it's out for the PC as well? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought it was delayed until 3rd November! Maybe that is Europe?
  19. I'll look it up when I get back from the gym; I read about it in PC Format a couple of months ago, but their site is not conducive to information extraction.
  20. The indexer is perhaps the best one to 86, as it runs in the background and chews up loads of processor overhead.
