  1. Probably one of those skills that are already maxed out, like IFF or eye-lights . :D
  2. I dunno, mental trauma from physical abuse is not a fleeting thing ...
  3. Like Arnie's character in Twins? )
  4. Yeah, I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey the other day with a virgin. )
  5. Might want to create a list of your requirements and then post a topic in Skeeter's, where the more technically-savvy forumites will be able to give advice. This is more a discussion about the marketing image versus the product for the PC market.
  6. I don't think the right to sue should be abrogated; I think it should be mitigated with common-sensical measures, like waivers. There was a large movement about a decade ago in Australia to write all contracts (specifically business leases, etc, as there is a real driver to keep expenses down) in plain English to avoid the litigious feeding frenzy that may occur when deciphering antiquated prose, because this is just a contract. Seems pretty straight forward; sign a waiver and (barring egregious circumstances) voluntarily give up the "right" to sue the school for accidental damage. There is still the facility to sue if there was some sort of negligence (lack of maintenance on equipment, for example). I can't see it being a big deal.
  7. A lot of cheap PSUs don't provide stable voltages at their named levels, too.
  8. Change them from "automatic" to "enabled", or whatever the option is.
  9. I'd do that too, but I'm going through HotU instead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd be tempted to install and play NwN: HotU, except for the .
  10. Yeah, gotta agree with that; I played UUT for about half-an-hour before unistalling the demo: not my cup of tea. But it will power almost EVERY game for the next five years or so, just like the previous versions (Deus Ex was built on UT, after all).
  11. It's a Volo thread.
  12. I really enjoy the buried details, deep in the game, like the geopolitically-astute barman (with the atrocious accent) with whom JC discusses the nature of free government. )
  13. My rig didn't, but that is probably because the test doesn't understand the capabilities of a Pentium M. For example, Half-Life 2 wasn't meant to work, and it does quite well.
  14. I think the X1900 cards DRAW 270W.
  15. I saved different profiles, one with bare minimum processes running and one with the normal processes. I ended up not keeping it, even though it was a lot faster, because invariably there would be a process that I needed. Now I just hibernate rather than shutdown most of the time, so I don't have to wait the ten minutes for start-up.
  16. Interesting that you used the term "chick". Beastiality doesn't do it for me, either male or female. But thanks for trying.
  17. That's even more disturbing than the picture.
  18. You know you want to ... I was thinking about trying to do a speed run, but it just proves impossible to not get sucked into the story ...
  19. AvP2 is brilliant ... I really should install and play it ... This one made me laugh out loud: and this is a spoiler ...
  20. Yeah, I've only played one mod (Zodiac); the game is so large and dense that I can just play through again and again.
  21. Mus?, what is that guy doing in the middle of the warzone? :D
  22. I guess the PC market is pretty crowded: the maturation of the market will see EVERYONE providing their own packages of components, more and more resembling the car or Hi-Fi market. Hmmm, Sony cars ...
