As I walk in Pearlwood Bluff, my party see a little cute drake! Engaging him only provokes a million of Xaurip that comes to his aid, not only attacking me but also keep healing the drake himself! (healing on hands to be more specific! who said paladins are useless?) This was the taughest battle for me and I actually died twice before I decided to change tactic. 1) Aloth, you don't need fire spells. swap in the debuffs and lightning strike! 2) Eder, you hate using sword and shield I know, but for this one not only you will but also eat +con food! 3) Kana .... get your tanking gear on and eat some +might food :D As the battle start I know those pesky Xaurip paladins will heal the drake, so I go for them first, trying to line enemy up for lightning strike. It works but my tanky Eder takes a lot of damage and I do need to spam some +armor +healing buffs (thank you crazy Durance). As only 2 Xaurip + a drake left, I get lucky with Aloth debuff that reduce the drake intelligence resolve and will resistance, allowing me to spam even stronger debuffs, that actually PARALYZE the drake himself. I managed to kill the Xaurip paladin and then finishing off the drake, letting the last little Xaurip left to run for his life but he seems really devoted to the dragon (maybe because hes the priest), so I unite him with his worship idol in the afterlife. WIN. Not a single down/death, level 5 party! Thank you Obsidian for an epic game

Spirits voices too loud
endruwiggin posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Compared to other voices ... can it be fixed please :D All spirits voices seems to be too loud (the type of voices that have multiple voices echoing with them, when the world become purple-ish too). -
Your RPG system sucks!
endruwiggin replied to Halsy's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The only thing where I would see your point is needing to sneak everywhere. You can just increase game speed and that part is solved. You dont need to sneak to every battle. who said u should ? And managing 6 people at real time ? I never did that in any D&D game, and if u did, maybe it means the game was so easy u didnt had to pause it .. ? Food/potions/scrolls are useless as much as enchanting is uselss. you dont have to use it, they give u a choice! So as sim-h said, i basically disagree with the OP opinion -
I kinda join the request, although on my first playthrough I don't really mind what my companions have, i'll deal with it I'm kinda dissapointed of the chosen 'songs' of the chanter, when I leveled up I saw way better ones, so maybe I don't really understand the reasoning the devs had when building him, maybe im just a noob :D On my 2nd play I might go with couple of recruits instead..

You might be able to benefit from fast-attack weapons with low damage, like daggers, even dual-wielding (obviously? ). Since they have low initial damage as it is, they wouldn't benefit from might as much as greatsword, and being able to make more attacks would overcome that anyway. You can also always use food/potions to buff yourself up!

Some spells do Damage Over Time (im looking at YOU Aloth!), and in the description I see intelligence increase their duration ... 20 damage over 10 seconds (with int 20) vs 20 damage over 1 seconds (with int 1) i'm not sure if high intelligence actually makes DoT spells worse by spreading the damage they do over longer peroid of time, or if the damage dealt by DoT spells is per 'tick' and if so what this 'tick' is ?

Voice over issues
endruwiggin replied to Gerdum's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I think it might be related to alt-tab-ing from time to time out of the game, but not sure. Did u guys alt-tab as well ? Happened with both companions and NPCs -
The first thing I do for every RPG with limited inventory space whenever possible is download a bag of holding style mod as soon as it becomes available. This is basically exactly what I do. BG : console cheat bag of holding BG2 : console cheat bag of holding and quiver while at it IWD1/2: console cheat bag of holding ElderScrolls/Fallouts : unlimited carry weight cheat/mod Don't let me chose between a battleaxe and a dagger please :'(

Annoying font size differences
endruwiggin replied to LuccA's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I thought about it as well, they probably made all fonts a certain percentage of each other, maybe in future patch they can seperate them so it'll be possible to change different font sizes for different UI. To be honest I really like the big font in the conversation UI, unlike other games that its so damn hard to read! I even used a mod to make Planescape:Torment font bigger because otherwise I couldn't handle it :D -

endruwiggin replied to endruwiggin's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
There is a 7 mega dowload called "DLC: Pillars of Eternity: Pre-Order Bonus Item and Pet" plus the file name says 2.0.0.1, except that, nothing -
