Yeah, one of my best friends is from India. Thing is, he doesn't really consider himself "Indian", but Sikh. India is to some degree a british invention and the nation of India encompasses *lots* of different peoples and cultures. Probably not unlike the US or other "large" sized countries. For Europeans, it's less an issue as the constantly erupting wars moves borders to either follow ethnic groups, or genocide/relocate ethnic groups to fit within borders

Just out of morbid curiosity, I tried looking up "Interplay" in the Pocket Oxford Dictionary. This is what it came up with: "Interplay n. reciprocal action". Small wonder that they do things that seems weird and incomprehensible from time to time.

Some things can't be kept down. Some day the promised game (Fallout3) will appear and deliver us all. We just have to keep up hope in these times of tests and tribulations.

Just sittng here, staring at my coffee and thinking. What is coffee made of ? How many particles ? The nature of it... stuff like that. Trying to figure out what my coffee is made of, resulted in ideas like molecules'n stuff. Then again, these are made up of atoms, which are made up of electrons, neutrons and protons, which are made of (insert favourite physics model here), repeated infinitely. Conclusion ? My coffee is made up of an infinite amount of "things". Why doesn't my coffee explode instantaneously and destroy the universe ? Probably because the rest of the universe is made the same way and applies an opposite and equal force on my coffee. No big deal, Coffee is still there and Gorth is happy. Then I thought about, what if something disturbs the balance between my coffee and the universe ? If the balance is disturbed to the disadvantage of my coffee, bummer, my coffee gets crushed by the forces of the universe. I can make a new cup of coffee. What happens if the balance is disturbed to the disadvantage of the universe ? My coffee explodes in a pyrotechnical show of supernova proportions and will probably destroy the universe. Better be careful with that coffee, It's potent stuff... Oh, and now my coffee's gone cold. Better be careful when I pour it out and make som new...

Imagine the irony, if it turns out to be Atari who is the publisher and Baldurs Gate 3 (Jefferson) the game. Now they can't announce it because Atari lost the rights to Interplay... :D I know, I know, paranoia :ph34r:

Since I haven't completed it yet, my main gripe is the controls... horrible Second worst part, the not optional arcade game sequences. If they want more action in the game, add some more moves like jump, crawl etc. and let the game be an advanced Tomb Raider/RPG mix. I love the exploration part. Third gripe, how about some quick weapon keys ? Like Ctrl+1 for weapon combo 1, Ctrl+2 for weapon combo 2 etc. (perhaps I've played too much Quake II) Apart from that, brilliant game

An experiment in non-linearity ? Most of them were no good anyway. It gives people a chance to rephrase and redo their posts. Really, how often do you get a second chance like that ?

The following is currently wrong with the "Project Delaware"game: 1) The story is too thin 2) The plot is non-existent 3) The controls are unresponsive 4) No multiplayer 5) Graphics are undefined 6) You can't hear the sound 7) Character development ? What character development. Forget about turnbased vs. real time, you can't find either. 9) You can't tell the console from the PC version Of course, this is based on what I've seen of the game so far Wonder if there will be a patch out soon that improves my impression of it ?

A little more, like 2,388.32 USD (current exchange rate), but it includes a DVD RW +/- writer and was bought 6 months ago. I guess your price would be about correct now 6 months later, perhaps around 2000 USD. Oh yes, and you need the Screwdriver Feat too

Having an almost identical system myself, only a 2.8 Ghz though and home built, I can verify that, yes, thats a nice gaming platform. You might want consider a smaller, but the fastest possible system drive, like the medium sized Western Digital ones and then add a large capacity storage drive. Of course, if you have unlimited funds, you might just want fast AND big for both drive types I found though, that four cheaper, large drives put in two raid 0 pairs performs quite nicely for storage. I guess that the fact that i actully believe in a god and has been known to frequent a church every now and then is besides the point of the current "discussion". I use the term discussion loosely as it implies that more than one participant offers intelligent arguments that support a point of view. If one part presents arguments and the other part presents name calling, it looses its educational value. Most often resulting in one part getting a slightly amusing expericence and the other part a headache and too high bloodpressure (and a sore throat from all the yelling ?). The existence (spelling?) of God was never questioned (by me) only the original arguements presented, as they didn't hold up to scrutiny. If somebody had said to me it was a personal experience/enlightenment thing, i would havd taken it at face value. Faith is never an excuse for dismantling your brain and start repeating, often ridiculous, klichees ad nauseam. That simply doesn't serve any purpose and does no good not to anybody, not to your faith. While people who substitute thought with faith instead of embracing both *can* be entertaining to keep around for a while they eventually grow boring. Press button 1 and subject of study jumps left, press button 2 and subject jumps right. Press button 3 and subject goes postal on you. This thread has probably lost its usefulness and will eventually receive one of those funny little padlock symbols for turning into personal flames, no big loss. Now if the subject could be put into a crate however... with a maze and a chunk of cheese at the exit. that would at least retain some of the interest in the thread, no ?
