How do you know for certain?

The very best thing about Fallout 1&2 is that you could really roleplay. You could choose a character that was intelligent and diplomatic and then pursue a storyline that fit that character or play a simple brute and pursue that course. You could choose to be good or evil or somewhere inbetween. When playing different types of characters, I would put myself in their mindset and make decisions based on who they are. The best kind of RPG is one that rewards that type of roleplaying with varied responses, plotlines and outcomes. I don't really care what Obsidian is working on right now as long as it has good roleplaying in it. (And is for the PC)

I emailed Tim Cain to inquire if Troika wanted to aquire the Fallout license from Interplay. Here was his reply: I wish Troika has the kind of money to make a serious bid for the Fallout license. However, despite rumors to the contrary, Interplay is NOT selling the Fallout license right now. I have spoken with them personally, and I have talked to other people who have made them offers. They have rebuffed all offers made to them to date. It looks like they are holding onto the license for now. Let's see what the future holds... Tim. It looks like Interplay is holding out, even thought they have had many offers. It would be just like them to go bankrupt and take the fallout license with them...

What Type Of Game Would You Like

This is my wish list: 1. RPG 2. Creative premise and storyline (None of the rehashed D&D stuff.) 3. Ability to customize your character as much as you would like. 4. The ability to choose to be good or evil (i.e. a mature game) 5. Your experience will be different depending on the character you choose and the good/evil path you choose. 6. You could complete the game with either brains or brawn 7. The characters would be memorable 8. Not be KOTR2 I think many realize I just described Fallout 1&2 If anybody could accomplish this list, I think Obsidian could.
