  1. It was a nice change. Atton got his butt handed to him by the sisters the first time, but otherwise... I prefer party based advanturing over the Kotor model, where you have a PC and his/her henchmen. Switching focus from the PC and giving you NPC's some screen time didn't quite make it party based, but it was an improvement. I especially liked the part on Dxun/Onderon where you selected two teams, the PC leading one on Onderon and an appointed "leader" to lead the other party on Dxun in what is supposed to be simultaneous events. I wouldn't mind at all if you were to do that more often (the appoint a different leader and followers and send them on their own missions thing). Makes them useful as more than just mannequins for new armour/robe fashion or underwear models.
  2. Sounds too good to be true, especially the tactical combat part (as in not another RTS). If it had just been announced like at least 24 hours before or after april 1st, in any time zone, I might have got just a little bit excited about it.
  3. Most likely option highlighted. Wouldn't really be fun running around with small nukes, that would blow up everything, the player included :p"
  4. That ain't a word, dumbass. IIRC, "ain't" isn't a word either
  5. Ladies and Gentlemen... The Killer of Kongs... The Chastiser of Chimps... The Molester of Monkeys... The one and only: Kumquatq3!*) *) This is the "before" picture. It might be necessary to contact closest relatives for the "after" picture.
  6. That's good, I still got that picture of you lying around for when I need to squeeze some info out of you someday
  7. My member number
  8. That's a pretty nice wallpaper, just the way I like them (dark), but what is it ?
  9. What was that first option ?!? Didn't vote. Couldn't find the Sky Coloured option
  10. It's called "Rainlendar". Not exactly sure where it's homeaddress is, but a google search will give plenty of download sites. Thats only the "components" though, You can get a lot of skins for it customize it's looks and layouts.
  11. He sounds more like "AngstOne" or whatever his name was.
  12. What interview is that? I think if they are making BG3, there will be something said at E3, but if they are making something else, E3 will probably be a little too soon to expect anything (except the New Jersey forum, that is ) Count me is as being curious about what interview that was. BG3 sounds unlikely unless Mr. Morgan is very creative in dealing with the truth (i.e. no Bioware license and no sequel)
  13. At least you got this part right (unless you count Volourn of course).
  14. That would be Luxor from my all time favourite game. He gets to rule the known world and the name is easy on the tongue. Even a non-english speaker like me has an idea of how to pronounce it
  15. June ? Is that the time leading up to E3 or some similar event ?
  16. I thought that was "Forums" As for Star Wars, it does look like a bit borrowed here and there. The Midichlorians (Sp?) from Scientology, the "learn by doing" (There is no try, do or do not) from Zen Bhuddism etc. Trying to weigh the different contributors against each other is an exercise in futility. The Sith does look a bit like Darwinists though
  17. Gorth's place. I like it neat and tidy. A free Windows theme from www.wincustomize.com...
  18. Sheesh, Revan got tricked and beaten by a girl... Thrawn pwns! (not quite sure who Thrawn is, but Revan was a pushover who got replaced by an apprentice with the strategic skills of hun)
  19. ... Just campaigning for a Project New Jersey Section
  20. Hmm... Good ol' days that would be stuff that is 10+ years old... that exludes all the BIS games Games that have been the most costly in sleep, grades, lost work etc. would some of the following.... Gridrunner (Llamasoft/Jeff Minter) - The very first computer game ever I bought. Sword of Fargoal and Temple of Apshai (Epyx) - Sigh... The sheer number of hours spent dungeon crawling. Beat that Icewind Dale Lords of Midnight and Doomdarks Revenge (Mike Singleton) - For me the ultimate computer games ever. I still play them on C64 emulators today. The only game I ever did bother to program a 16 bit version of for my Amiga 4000  Summer Games (Epyx) - Killer of joysticks... I still suspect peripheral manufacturers of sponsoring the development of these types of games. Nato Commander (Microprose) - Dunno how many nights were spent on this. the first real time with pause game I ever played, around 1984. Monty Mole (Antony Crowther) - The silly tune still haunts me, when trying to figure out if a set of pipes are climbable... nevermind... Ultima IV (Origin/Richard Garriot) - Needs little explanation. Second biggest time robber after the LoM/DDR games above. International Soccer (Commodore) - My very first (and only) "console game". A cartridge game for the C64. Probably responsible for the death of a few joysticks too. Zork I-III and Deadline (Infocom) - Doesn't really need a lot of explanation either. Forbidden forest (Cosmi) - Forget about Resident Evil. This is the spookiest game ever made for homecomputers  Jumpman/Jumpman Jr. (Epyx) - The ultimate platform games. Did I mention that Epyx was one of the greatest game companies ever ? Phantasie I-III (SSI) - I still remember taking some kind of perverse pleasure in killing Nikademus (Sp?) Defender of The Crown (Cinemaware) - Less depth than I would wish in a "strategy" game, but the Whoa effect from the gfx and music just couldn't be ignored. Not to mention, for a bunch of pixels, the damsels, well... ehh... next! Wings (Cinemaware) - So simple a flightsim, yet the combined package and campaign was awesome. Spent literally months playing through WWI Elite (Acorn Soft/Ian Bell/David Braben (Sp?)) - They just don't make them like that anymore X-Com (Microprose) - Needs no explanation... Champions/Death knights of Krynn (SSI) - I loved the original three books by Weiss/Hickman, loved the first two games in the series too. Probably 50-80 games worthy of honourable mention too, especially some racing and strategy games, but that might be a challenge for anybodys attention span
  21. And you wonder why the world has religious fundamentalists... :D Anyway, the Gamespot interview was slightly predictable. The interview at NMA was way more fun reading.
  22. Ultima IV. Still remember getting that nice big box with all the goodies in it, maual, ref chart, map of Britannia and a plastic Ankh... I gave III a try after that, but didn't complete it. IV had way superior music and sliglty easier on the eyes gfx on the C64 version compared to the PC version, you might want to find those and try on a C64 emulator intead of the ugly PC version.
  23. What do you have against Scandinavians ?!? ... Just kidding :(" ... For a good sample of the Swedish language "melody", go find an episode of The Muppet Show and listen to the Swedish Cook :D
  24. In this case, both will do nothing. You have to take the fight to the guy who holds the trigger end of the gun. Otherwise, he'll just sit there, watch everybody else wallow in the mud, get a good laugh and continue doing what he has always been doing, for it doesn't really affect him. I.e. figure out, where can I cause a change if I swing back, it's not always the easily accessible places that are the best for it... Voting with your $ has always been an effective option.
  25. The only thing I noticed, was that I no longer had to squint to find the interface, lost like a little dot somewhere on the middle of a big empty screen... As for colours, pretty unimportant. Kotor 3 is probably going to be red, just for the sake of doing the whole RGB spectrum
