Youtube recommendations, let's beat the algorithm
Randy Feltface, the character created by an Aussie comedian. He has his own channel https://www.youtube.com/@randyfeltface This example is on the long side, but incredibly funny once you get to meet Morgan (about 3.5 minutes in). Gumtree is an online market place.

Jeremy Soule (IWD) wasn't completely unknown back then. But Inon Zur was a completely blank slate for me when I saw his name in the credits... The Infinity Engine games generally had great music. Michael Hoenig's Baldurs Gate music isn't bad, nor was Mark Morgan's and Richard Band's contributions to Planescape Torment.

- Anime and Manga - It's time for you to finish what you've started and watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
One episode to go of Hell's Paradise. It's Ok? Watchable, but if anyone asks me in 2024 what I watched in 2023, I might forget it when listing what I watched. I think my main problem is I don't like the protagonist. It can be an issue when you start rooting for his opponents 😝 Heavenly Delusion on the other hand... only 3 episodes in and it's complicated (I'll re-watch the the first three episodes before trying to summarize them) 🤔 I do like it so far though, so I'll keep watching it.- warhammer 40k: rogue trader
It wasn't a thing in Epic... and I never played 40k Orks edit: I played Imperial Guard exclusively in 40k- Ukraine Conflict - conflict continues
Funny you should mention that, because I was thinking something along similar lines. Short of all out victory for one side (unlikely to happen), the outcome will be a compromise of some sort, that will be a hard sell domestically for both parties. Russia won't give up territories with ethnic Russian majority (as far as I understood various assessments of the mood in Moscow) and Ukraine won't relinquish any territory they got from the break up of the Soviet Union. But practical minds will have to tell Russia that the Donbas is Ukrainian territory and the Crimeans legitimately voted for joining Russia after Ukraine reneged on the original autonomy agreement that was the premise for them joining Ukraine in 1991. Add things like allowing Russian as the language of choice in Dobas schools and administration and stop trying to kill off the population in Crimea by cutting off their natural water supply, stop supporting separatists both covertly and overtly etc. Maybe in 100-150 years time, they will decide joining their countries in a union would be mutually beneficial. I just suspect a lot more people have to die before they get to this point 🤔 Edit: Point in case, France and England were in union for a while, even if it only lasted a few decades 😛- Ukraine Conflict - conflict continues

I had a Blood Axe Klan in the old Epic40k... complete with Rhino transports and Landraider tanks (stuff that is only available to Space Marines today) 😁 That and my Kult of Speed were responsible for outflanking maneuvers... except the Kult usually fell apart on the halfway distance, their vehicles disintegrating without any enemy intervention. But they were fast! (because they were painted red)- warhammer 40k: rogue trader
Squats, Ogryns and Ratlings aren't technically "aliens". Rogue traders are mostly above the law (what The Inquisition doesn't know...), so they employ a number of questionable individuals, like Eldarii snipers, renegade Astartes, even complements of regular Astartes when their purposes coincide, unsanctioned psykers, mutants etc. They trade with most races when profitable, from Orks to T'au (unofficially of course), stopping just short of what Inquistitors of the Radical factions do, having pet possessed demon hosts 😁 The Blood Axe Ork clan is well supplied with Imperial equipment, from Rhino pattern troop transports to military fatigues (that is way too small for them). They probably sold them basic tactics 101 books too (the Ikea kind, with lots of pictures).- Random video game news... the critical eyes have it
I know the story is completely unrelated, but the visuals and presentation somehow gives me "Indiana Jones" vibes (the original movie). Colour me curious 🤔- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
And the last bit... datasheets with individual unit capabilities are all nice and good, so here is the download for the army composition. Unit point values, number of units allowed etc. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/06/16/get-all-of-your-points-for-free-with-the-first-munitorum-field-manual-of-new40k/ Munitorum Field Manual has the army composition for all released factions so far and Rules Commentary is effectively a FAQ- Military Thread: “An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep.”

Next group of free downloads from Games Workshop - the filthy Xenos... https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/06/15/free-xenos-index-cards-the-battle-for-the-galaxy-rages-on-all-sides/ T'au (some mecha loving race), Aeldari (used to be Eldar), Drukhari (used to be Dark Eldar), Necrons (iused to be living beings... sort of), Genestealers (ends up eating all living beings), Orks (opportunistic killers and eaters, preferably the food puts up a good fight first), Leagues of Votann (used to Squats)- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
As said, my "knowledge" (official rulebooks) ends at 2009. It's entirely possible that you have a publication from 2010 (or even 2009 or thereabouts) with the new name 🙂- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
Which makes sense... that was released in 2014 (and my newest guard book was from 2009) 👍 Edit: Which means, just guessing, it was introduced somewhere between 2009 and 2014 as a new name 😁- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
Hehe... lots of organisations, like the Adeptus Astra Telepathicus (Astropaths), the Navis Nobilte (Navigators), Adeptus... just about everything else: Titanicus, Mechanicus, Astronimica, Assassinrum, Sororitas (nuns with guns), Astartes (space marines), Arbites, Custodes, Ministorum (the church), Administratum (the pencil pushers and accountants) etc. An ingame name for just about every occasion. Edit: Departmento Munitorum, the logistics and supply chain branch keeping the Emperors armies going. They provide bullets, Adeptus Ministorum provides prayers 😎- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
They were just referred to by their regimental names, like the 602nd Armageddon etc. Edit: But if non-specific, they were "The Guard". Things like abhumans Ogryns, Ratlings, Beastmen (yes, they had beastmen in the early versions, trying to repent and absolve themselves of the crime of being born), commissars etc. were all a thing almost from the beginning. Rules were a bit more loose, much was randomised (including stats and gear), so you could have a Lieutenant with better stats and abilities than his colonel 😁 ... or assault Ratlings with jump packs (and leadership skill 5 and will always flee from combat)- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
I'm not going to scan the pages (they didn't have their own "Codex") from the original Rogue Trader, but they were called Imperial Guard back then. The only models available (when they became available) were from the world of Armageddon (where the Necromunda spin off game takes place). But I have the various rule books covering 1995-2008, so at least from the start of WH40k and until 2008 they were "The Imperial Guard" and the troops known as "Guardsmen"- Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
I recognize that brand of ocd (I have it too) 😂 More free downloads, rules for various Imperial forces: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/06/14/free-imperium-index-cards-reclaim-the-galaxy-with-humanitys-finest/ Grey Knights, Astra Militarum (which old grognards like me remember as The Imperial Guard), Adeptus Sororitas (aka "The Sisters of Battle"), Adeptus Custodes (aka The Emperors personal bodyguard), Imperial Knights & Imperial Agents (which looks like an amalgam of Adeptus Assassinorum and the various releases for Kill Team, i.e. Rogue Traders, Navy Breachers, Adeptus Arbites squads etc.)- Music: Sharing and Listening - The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between
Not an anime per se, but Nier: Automata was a game where I would sometimes just stop and listen to the music (and then reload after dying!). Which reminds me, there is actually an anime out now for it. Maybe I should look for it 🤔- Ukraine Conflict - conflict continues
Like the Metric System 😁 J/K... just an opinion of mine, the US is what you get when you take individual freedom to extremes, leaving individuals to fend for themselves. Less social cohesiveness. Russia is what you get on the opposite end of the scale, complete lack of individual freedom and don't you dare do anything on your own initiative. Many countries fall in between the two extremes and a few gets close to aforementioned outliers (like China being similar to Russia in some ways etc.) - The All Things Political Topic - new edition
