Shows you never get too old to learn something new. Stumbled across this video on TV a short while ago and actually liked it. Might have to check her discography. Lana Del Rey - Video Games

Thought the first game was ok, will get this during a STEAM sale. Gamersgate for me, but yeah. The first one was worth it's money and in this price range, you don't really take great risks

Which is why the entertainment industry of the future is going to be MMO's for computers and Reality Show X, the movie for watching on streaming TV when the cinema is dead. The only way you can find investors for a project is if the product can be reasonably expected to sells. If you can't protect your investment, you go out of business, simple as that. For me it's not a big loss, I haven't seen a movie in the cinema for 6 years (nothing released that interested me) and my gaming is very limited, since my taste belongs to a dying breed, but there is a not insignificant group of people who seems addicted to entertainment and can't get enough of it. They are also busy shooting themselves in their collective feet, complaining about the lack of quality releases no less (probably some kind of irony in there) )

Lucas Arts owns all rights to it.

Just speculation on my part. Considering how they were advertising for 2D artists specifically, it wouldn't be too farfetched to expect a "toon" style. May or may not be same visual style as the TV show.

I'm almost willing to bet a beer, that the Outta Space persons and the little comments regarding them are from the Aliens game

No room for misinterpretation

Your safest bet is probably using regular mail. Obsidian Entertainment 8105 Irvine Center Drive, Suite 200 Irvine, CA 92618-3096 USA Using C/O Something appropriate. Alternatively, their main office phone no. may be listed in the Yellow Pages or some such similar thing.

Obsidian is working on project for leading animation franchise

This is unusual and cruel punishment -
I've got that one on my wishlist at Gamersgate. I enjoyed the first one tremendously. I enjoyed it too. I can't say for the moment about this second installment since I've not played a lot, but it seems to be close with a bit more attention to graphic details (which wasn't really necessary to my taste, but ok). I thought that 16 euro was a good price for it. I loved the little animations when fighting critters. Please share what you think when you've gotten some ways through GT2

That was my thought too when reinstalling the 3rd time in 2 months

Best thing would be if you could borrow a PSU and try out for a few days. Unfortunately I gave my old Antect TruePower Quatrro 1000W to my dad when I gave him my previous components (pre-I7 architecture). About the HDD's though, I would say it can be darn hard to get anything reliable these days. When I built my curret PC, no less than 3 drives failed withing 2 months. First two Samsung drives, which I got replaced (a different brand). One of the replacement drives then failed and I thought I was cursed. According to the vendor it was unfortunately not unheard of. The symptoms were strange "struggling" noises and a creeping increase in bad sectors. Are your drives new?

I'm using an Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W. Helps keep the place warm during Winter Best question to ask might be, do you have any stability issues or are you planning on adding a handful of extra HDD's? 750W should be plenty for most needs. I got the overkill version because a) I didn't know better and b) the price difference was insignificant when I had to buy all new components anyway (and I planned on adding 6 HDD's and a few extra gadgets). Apart from a seasonal lack of time, it has been a smooth ride so far and quite a relief getting the new 590, as the past constant 'display driver has stopped working...' were really driving me up the wall

Well, North Americans do sometimes write 31st of December, 2011 as 12/31/11 or 2011-12-31, so it might have been a fair question

Mudcrab! Mudcrab! Mudcrab! Two choc-ices please. I haven't got choc-ices. I only got the Mudcrab. Mudcrab! What flavour is it? It's a crab, innit? It's a bloody mud crab . .. it's not any bloody flavour. Mudcrab! Do you get wafers with it? Course you don't get bloody wafers with it. Mudcrab! How much is it? Ninepence. I'll have two please. Crustacean on a stick. I might have to satisfy my curiosity sooner or later...

Reminds of the time when the Faroe Islands had decided that all the flag waving was good and it was time to become fully independent. They probably had it all planned out from the goodbye speeches to the discussions about a foreign minister until somebody tapped them on their shoulder and said something to the effect of "Great, that means we no longer have to pay billions in subsidies, as that would be a grave insult to a foreign and independent nation to support them like a third world country". First they tried to argue that of course they could be independent and still receive subsidies, but eventually the sillyness of it became obvious to even the most die-hard nationalist and the plans are currently put on hold (last time I checked, about a decade ago).

It took Isabella of Spain (i.e. "the state") to finance Columbus' journey across the Atlantic with nothing but the *potential* of riches as incentive. Today people travel across the Atlantic as if it was just a minor inconvenience, relying on commercial carriers. Different scales, similar mechanisms

Much of Europes history is about the houses of Anjou, Bourbon and Habsburg slugging it out on the battlefields with the Medici's cackling gleefully in the background while financing the wars The "colonial" comparison is actually pretty apt, as it describes the quest of the old strong economies to cultivate new markets and resource sources. I think it was Enoch who described the Greek tragedy as a third world country economy trying to play in a first world league, paraphrased. Now Scotland suddenly wants to throw in their lot too. I can understand the feeling of disenfranchisement (probably not a real word) with having too many layers of administration. Local parliament, then the one in London and finally eurocrats in Brussels trying to assert themselves as executive, unelected rulers of member states. It would have made sense doing it 10 years ago when the common currency was looming on the horizon. The train has probably left the station by now. ...insert Monty Python skit with instantaneous turning into Scotsmen here...

Questions about the independence referendum After having ruled England for centuries (The Stuarts), England is now ruled by the Germans (the Hannovers). Apparently some highlanders thought it time to clamp down on the import of cheap haggis or whatever. Strange, I always thought Belgium would be the next European country to split up, followed by a north/south divide of Italy. Dear Scotsmen, you've picked a hell of a time to join the Euro

I like big worlds and lots of things to do... was part of the charm of the BG's too. I might just get the game some day. Need to finish FO:NV first though, which in itself looks like becoming a Christmas project with my current schedule Like FO3 and FO:NV I'll probably end up playing it when everybody else has finished it a handful of times and moved on

I've heard about some people leaving a bad taste in your mouth... For somebody who hasn't played it, does it compare to anything I'm familiar with? Closest things I can think of would be Witcher 2, Fallout 3 and Oblivion which I tried out a very long time ago (on an xbox, so no mods). The action parts of Witcher 2 sucked and Oblivions story/characters (and level scaling) was a major turn off, yet despite it's warts and all, FO3 had some good qualities. Enough to keep me playing for lots of hours anyway. Just trying to make up my mind if the game would be something that catches my interest enough to keep playing.

I should learn how to do that some day. Maybe start with one shirt. Of course I would need to buy an iron first

Well, it's the only Batman game I've "played" (not enough time to form a real opinion, mind you), so I don't have any references. Mind you, Batman and TR (the originals) are completely different breeds, Batman and later TR games being "fighting" games and older TR games exploration and discovery. Sort of comparing Apples and Oranges. The fist fighting was nice enough, but the constant flailing around of the camera, zooming in and out for "kill cam" effect annoys me in any game. I think my problem is, I really don't care about "interactive movie" effect developers/publishers are trying to push for. I'm sure many gamers appreciate it, I'm just not one of them
