  1. The game just disappeared from my wishlist...
  2. Double that price for the Australian market... Magnesium, huh? I know from experience that it burns very brightly when it gets hot

Santa? Wrong pole After a heavy downpour that lasted more than 30 hours, the silence when it ceased was almost deafening. It also meant a weekend spent cooped up indoors. Managed to catch up a bit on my gaming, but otherwise very uneventful.
  4. Preaching to the choir... I pre-ordered it anyway
  5. You need password to see anything
  6. I know it's happened in France, at least. When death does not part
  7. I was so sad when I saw a gameplay trailer of that game. Warlock was the name of a really fun WarCraft III mod, thought they made an indie game out of that. I've never played any of the Warcraft games, so I wouldn't know what they look like. The demo was fun though, if you are into turn based strategy games (with a slightly humorous touch).
  8. Warlock - Master of the Arcane Demo Most fun game of it's "type" (turn based strategy in a fantasy setting) since HoMM III. At least the demo leaves a good impression. Other peoples mileage may vary. No visible benefits to pre-ordering, so it just goes on my must have list in May (supposed to be released on the 8th).
  9. I'm tempted... If I were to go shopping at Gamersgate, is the Treasure Isle DLC worth getting together with the game?
  10. Honestly? Mostly what people share here, at least for games that I'm marginally interested in. Sometimes lurking at NMA, sometimes reading GameBanshee. Sometimes developer forums for games I "know" I'm going to be interested in (Paradox Games).
  11. Not to mention all those tonnes of gold (and silver) on the sea bottom, courtesy various entrepreneurs, some with letters of marque, some without

    Maybe he's a Swedish Quango?
  13. I was just teasing LC, because she didn't want the bundle version (because of the Paypal/Amazon account requirement) Witcher 2 was a personal disappointment, the only GoG purchase I truly regret.
  14. Nope, haven't bought it yet. I noticed that GoG's version doesn't include the full soundtrack, either, which is a bummer because I normally like to support GoG. But I don't understand the charity bundle thing... (edit: oh...nvm...I'm dense...got it.) ...bah. I need PayPal, Amazon, or Google to pay. No likey. Can I remove the CC info from Google after I've added it, or do they have it forever. *whistle innocently* Not that I want to diss Gog, even after they did Witcher 2 to me. Bought some of the old Interplay games where my cd's were getting old and scratched, particularly 'Messiah'. I still need to beat Evil Bob some day
  15. I don't know if it's because they are "story heavy", or just because they are linear that I have a hard time replaying some games and not others. I'll still happily replay old strategy games that takes forever to finish, I love a current game of PS:T that I'm playing, yet there are recent games which railroads the player and now gathers dust by the wayside. I'm more likely to replay ME2 than ME3 some day, simply because I can decide in which order I want to do most of the things between the start and the ending. I think there is something about the stories and experiences you create yourself are the best ones.
  16. Any idea how it compared to Eye of the Beholder? I played Eye of the Beholder (the first one) and Black Crypt. The latter being the spitting image of Legend of Grimrock. I suspect most of my Amiga gaming time was spent on Mechforce. Most awesome shareware game ever. The AI opponent played a mean game without cheating.
  17. Still playing Trine. Getting close to the end I think. Some of the puzzles are getting trickier. Then I found out that I can resurrect dead party members just by going back to the last checkpoint Most fun I've had since Gratuitous Space Battles. Trine 2 is going to be a must have for me.
  18. A few surprises in there. Hard to imagine "Scotty" as anything but the engineer,,, and Dolph Lundgren the genius??? The rest of her life?
  19. What's the current legislation on price fixing? I know I found a way to circumvent EA"s price fixing on ME3 (it lists one price on Origin until you log in and then adds almost 100% when you are down under), but you don't always have the option. The movie industry has been doing it for decades with their "region encoding" (sounds nicer than price fixing),
  20. Good point, nothing is so bad it couldn't be worse I live in suburbia and commute to the commercial district, so I don't spend much time in the (Brisbane) cbd area. I stopped listening to street musicians and buskers when they started bringing ghetto blasters, sitting and miming a bit to whatever noise is blasting out through the speakers. Britney Spears has nothing on those guys when it comes to faking it in front on an audience. I've got a brother who spent a decade and a half playing music, from drums over guitars to saxophone, so I've got the general idea what's involved in playing without playback. Not to mention having seen more bands live than can be counted and several pairs of hands. If you take the crutches and rollators away from the majority of the "performers", how good are they really? Not saying nobody has any actual skill, but they drown in the masses of producer created designer bands aimed at specific markets. The people hired are but the faces and wriggling bodies used to market a product.

Surprisingly well. Not the nauseating sugary stuff you get in chocolate bars and sprinkled on top of pastry. Harder in consistency than I thought too, unlike the grated, dried stuff you normally get.
  22. Sounds like you guys need a psychic octopus.
  23. The law of the jungle is brutal. Gorth is feasting tonight, gorging himself on blood soaked coconut meat (I managed to cut my finger in the process). It worked surprisingly well putting it in the oven. The hard, outer shell cracks like an egg shell, easy to break off. Two or three gentle whacks with a hammer and you can break it off. Then you can use a sharp knife for cutting the softer parts into bits and pieces.
  24. Awesome page, thanks I like "thwack" better than "tap", but I'll give it a try. It seems like the benefit of heating/freezing the nut is an easier time getting the meat removed from the shell. I might just try it with a blunt spoon first.
