  1. I asked her permission. And if this wasn't a board set in the land of the free, I would upload the good pictures I've been taking of her. This girl is not shy. She's awesome. *mumbles some envious expletitives*
  2. You could also host country house murders. What they don't tell is how much dust that place gathers in just a couple of weeks time... Edit: @mkreku: You sure she doesn't read forums?

What third party? The imaginary harassment agency? Listen, don't be so scared. I'll only **** with you a little, you'll still be able to find a job, cause not all employers google you. And your wife won't leave you, probably. Jesus Christ, what a chicken**** you are. Bweh, disgusting. Alright, hide your head in the sand like a crybaby and keep trying to look tough by telling everyone that anonymity is bad. The truth is, with your ***** character, anonymity has probably saved you more times than you can imagine. That was almost a nice try

Don't you guys build those huge straw goat effigies up there in Sweden?
  5. I suppose taking a warhammer to the door instead isn't an option??? If it isn't worse (i.e. more prevalent), I might still get it. Crossing fingers and hoping that minigames and boss fights go the way of the dodo some day.

You need to work harder still. Another strawman has to be put out of his misery. This is not an ideal world and I wouldn't trust you to not share my info with third parties who had no interest in reciprocating the gesture with other than harassment done under the cover of anonymity.
  7. I love the little "stick men" drawings
  8. *Waves* Goodbye Frodo... I wonder what kind of budgets and assets/tech these guys do work with. It does look visually (way) more than adequate. How bad are the QTE's and minigames? Rumors of their existence is what is keeping me from buying it at the moment.
  9. Did she drop it at home? Wouldn't a normal home/property insurance cover that kind of damage?

Still wistfully dreaming of the day where you can book "kid free" flights, domestically and in particular long haul.
  11. Isn't that why some of those guys have been asked politely (but firmly) to move out of Okinawa? It probably bothers me less that they have sex while abroad than they may have used their "status" to get it (not to mention that it is an incredibly stupid PR move). Might also be worth considering the security risk, as not all the women may be who they pretend to be. I know where I would go recruiting if I wanted somebody to plant a bug (no, not the klamydia kind) on the SS guys.

It seems the vast majority of stuff floating around (to put it nicely) on the internet is "easy" entertainment. Maybe people who read Tolstoy are more likely to buy the book than people who watch Indepence Day are likely to buy the dvd?

For the reading impaired... But you are probably more concerned about the chip on your shoulder getting stained
  14. I think they are operating the same way as the cd key store where Morgoth goes shopping. I.e. they buy bulk keys cheaply in various parts of the world and resell them at a profit. Read about somebody discovering on Steam that they had purchased a German version of some violent game and ended up with no blood (and foreign language)

Try harder. False dichotomy. Try shopping online for strawmen. You are burning them up at an alarming rate.

Heya Still donning the kevlar vest and commuting to Mexico?
  17. Piracy discussion went this way

People who believe this has anything to do with censorship? Funny how they always try to play that card every time such ugly concepts as accountability and similar rears their ugly head. In an ideal world, you would have an internet that didn't get monitored by authorities constantly and where there was no anonymity whatsoever. Then people would always have to face up to their actions.
  19. Did you have anything against 5th Element? Sorry I thought you were arguing against Lockout, and no I have nothing against the 5th Element. It was the first movie in which Milla Jojovich married a director so she could get a role. How many directors has she married?
  20. There's too many similarities between Mass Effect and Babylon 5 for it to be a coincidence. Just like how there are too many similarities between Dragon Age and Warhammer for that to be a coincidence. And yet, I seem to have missed them all. (which isn't to say that most things in DA have been lifted from somewhere else - but WH? WTH?) Aspects of it (the warp fade and the Templars of Sigmar seeking out unsanctioned mages, practicing outside the Colleges of Magic Circles) because the untrained mind may attract the attention of warp fade entities, but my first thought when watching the cutscenes was Peter Jackson As you said, a mix of some old, some borrowed and some new bits here and there.
  21. It's going to be a bit tricky checking in the case, although I guess you could get with the surf boards, skis and other oversized baggage. Question is if it's worth it or lease a powerful laptop for some months instead? (Even drained of liquid, my desktop pc clocks in at 27kg, so I wouldn't be able to send it as anything but "goods").

I suppose congratulations are in order? What happened, got tired of your room mate or something?
  23. I did a similar thing when moving from New Zealand to Australia years ago. Left CPU and RAM on motherboard, everything else (including heat sinks) got taken off. Fortunately I had the original packaging for the motherboard, gfx card and drives. I'm such a packrat. Never throw out a good cardboard box, you never know when it might come in handy Edit: Never underestimate the danger of static electricity. Keep polystyrene away. Use anti-static bags to wrap around your boards and drives.
  24. Managed to play a bit of Gratuitous Space Battles and Trine 2 towards the end of the weekend. Testing new ship designs is fun, but not being into the whole internet gaming thing, I wish the single player game had been more "expansive". Trine 2 is if possible even more fun than Trine. Some of the puzzles (to get all experience points in a level) requires some rather creative thinking. You know the answer is there and it's solvable with the tools at hand. A bit like ye olde adventure games.
  25. The game just disappeared from my wishlist...
