Hmm, I might just give vsync a try. Slideshow, huh? Now you've made me curious Hit a slight snatch that killed the game after selecting a dialogue choice (application has stopped working etc.). Back to recent save. Luckily I didn't just rely on autosaves, remembering something about them not being as frequent as in say FO:NV (every area/locale transition). Almost made it to the Peragus dormitories.

I'm playing it now (with TSLRCM 1.8.1), the only "issue" so far is a strange being stuck thing after combat. Forward and backward movement with the keyboard seems paralyzed for several seconds, but eventually it unfreezes. I can turn around and if there are containers nearby I can click on them and walk there no problem. It just doesn't care about the forward and backward key for a while there. It's not stopping me from playing, just a minor nuisance.

Thanks for all the hard work (and for not giving up along the way) Just in time too, since I'm about to start a game of Kotor2 this week

The "Panzer Pope" Funny if you think about it, but the Catholics were amongst the first heretics, breaking away from the original/traditional Christian church.

A sad track record of half watch and two-third watched movies on the plane from Singapore to Brisbane. I saw two-thirds of "Battleship", then I couldn't stand it anymore. It would have made more sense to do it as a cartoon. Then I saw half of Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Not a bad movie, but I couldn't relate to any of the characters and it's a movie that relies a lot on empathy (imnsho). Decided to re-watch something that I had seen on the way out and watched Avatar once more. Ok flick to watch for free, but not something I would buy on DVD/BD.

What are your favorite Romance options?
Gorth replied to Darth Revan=Boss's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You are asking really hard questions... how many years is it since the last playthrough??? Since I bought the Steam version (gave up trying to get my old CD retail version to run), I'll probably try out the TSLRCM project at the same time. Who knows, it might jog some dusty old memories. I don't even remember who was "romancable". Might put up a real answer in a few weeks time.- 12 replies

Still playing a little bit of FO:NV every now and then. After finishing OWB, which I quite liked (nice change of "tone" and setting, only real beef was the same as with Point Lookout, the goons are too many of the same and way too much bullet sponges), I'm busy shuffling stuff between my stashes and stores with enough caps. Not sure if it's a bug in the sink, but half the time it doesn't seem to actually pay you for stuff you sell, despite listing a number of caps it's willing to pay. I lost 60000 caps that way, not checking that money actually went to my account. Once done with that, I'll probably head for Lonesome Road.

Interview Request

Depending on how urgent it is, there is a real physical address you can send a mail to on the privacy page. -
Play the demo as administrator. Been there, tried that (after checking out their forums). I suspect it might be the "other" reason, running setup.exe instead of the msi file? Supposedly the latter also installs some prerequisite elements. I've already deleted the download after installing it though, so it's a task for another day.

Tried to play the Underrail demo. Game crashes right away without doing much (besides offering to send a bug report Microsoft). A shame, as I was curious to see what the game was about. Maybe they'll update the demo some day.

The X-Wing/Tie-Fighter games. Elite 2

You can watch that whole thing now on youtube. I thought the presentation was totally underwhelming. Too limited options in combat, and the whole game feels more like a cartoonish theme park. I thought X-COM was supposed to be creepy and tenseful. Well, maybe the inevitable demo is going to change my mind. I hope for a real playable demo, because watching the first 5-7 minutes of this was painful. The constantly jumping around camera and unnecessary change of perspective ruined the experience so far. Might feel differently when getting your own hands on the keyboard/mouse.

Start of old thread End of old thread http://forums.steamp...777&postcount=4 Just because it deserves to be said again... So, I finally finished Old World Blues. Probably the last person in the world to do so too. Just in case I'm not, regarding the ending:

Maybe their screens are set up for being "on camera"? Looked very nice though. Definitely worth checking out when it gets released.

That sounds like a difficult task indeed. The difference for me (having tried both) is that the cd version is a bitch to get working, the steam version worked without having to do anything other than "press play"

Instant purchase. I just finished downloading it from Steam. Runs without a problem out of the box (mind you, only played Peragus for a bit)

Europa Universalis IV Officially Announced

Played a bit of FO:NV last night (since I couldn't sleep anyway), finishing off most of X13 and X8 (almost done previously) in Old World Blues. Not sure what to expect from "Unusual Specimens"... Only thing I would wish for at this point in time is less robo-scorpions. Sort of overdone/tedious already. I love the stealth armour Mk II though, if just for the comments/remarks.

Thanks for that Andytizer. I have a feeling it may come in handy for a number of people pretty soon

Sounds like I have to go shopping on Steam when I get home tonight!

Happy Birthday Hurlshot Sorry to hear about your family trouble. I've just had the best time in years with my family, after not having seen them for a couple of years. Even the weather turned benign, adding to the overall positive experience. The trip back down under was somewhat of an Odyssey. First a number of hours traveling to Copenhagen. Then flying to Helsinki. So far so good. Then Finnair went from economy class to fail class in the book of Gorth on the flight to Singapore. The entertainment system was completely non-functional, which meant not as much as a headset offered to drown out the engine noise and worse, the squealing little pests, that people insists on dragging onboard to terrorize their fellow passengers. With no advance warning, it meant I didn't even have a book to pass the time. Longest 12 hour flight ever and an airline on Gorth's no-fly list. Qantas has the dubious honour of being the closest I've ever been to a fatal aircraft experience, but it was less bad this time, as the aircraft engineers took no. 1 engine apart and fixed it while the passengers were waiting, so it could depart with only 3 hours delay. At least the entertainment system was working, so we could watch tv/movies while waiting for the plane to get fixed. Finally in Australia, it was time for some grocery shopping, a shower and a toothbrush then getting a bit of sleep after 48 hours (I've never been able to sleep at all on airplanes or airports).

Arrived back from Europe earlier today. Now trying to recover from jetlag. Between them, Finnair and Qantas made it a memorable trip for all the wrong reasons.
