  1. I don't think there was a deadline? Sadly, my spare games are physical copies (with wear and tear), so only spare digital download I was entitled to (once Wasteland 2 gets released) has already been promised away, but not actually given yet. You sort of need a key for it first
  2. Thread getting a bit long. More thread here
  3. Start of old thread End of old thread Interesting game The Void. I really need to complete it some day
  4. It is entirely possible to build a gunslinger with the feat that lets you block blaster shots with your bare hands I am still a bit miffed that the original kotor forced my badass rogue to change class into a whimpy jedi.
  5. Yeah, but they're all in their neat little packages so I can get a picture of the size, but little else. Yeah, that sure helps Sorry, not much help then. I've got a programmable mouse with its own lcd display, memory and processor and a gazillion features, but I use it mostly for 3D applications, not for gaming. Gives a bit of self esteem and bragging rights, but that about it. I chose it mostly because it looked like my old mouse. Insert some Norman Bates reference here.
  6. Well, the flash sales are dangerous for my credit card. Picked up a Orcs must Die! 2 and a few flight sims that were on sale too.
  7. Ideally you would have some well stocked physical store where you live? Not one to speak, having used the same Microsoft Intellipoint 5 button mouse for almost a decade, but the single most important thing for me was whether or not the physical shape felt "comfortable" in my hand (and I got size XXL hands) Second priority was the number of buttons as I've grown fond of multiple button shortcuts over the years, but it would take the back seat to the actual shape of the mouse. Speaking of which, my current one looks at least superficially like a similar shape to the one pictured.
  8. I thought the blue cheese would break down the enzymes without any help from a digestive system
  9. Junk food. Latest tool in the genocide arsenal Peace? Fat chance.
  10. That would be a typical self-centered human view point though. It's based on the assumption that we are important enough for other species to pay attention to, not to mention worth the effort to send space junk in our direction. Just waiting for ESA or NASA or some such to discover a probe floating by with the message "Greetings, I'm Zzxzxcc from the 6443 system. I worked as a treasurer for the former benevolent dictator and need your help to relocate the planetary funds of the former regime..."
  11. Maybe it's because the Gaza strip has effectively been turned into an internment camp (I'll be nice and not call it a KZ camp)? When you keep a group of people prisoner, isolate them, demolish infrastructure, block access to trade of goods (and ideas), you create a breeding ground of resentment and radicalism (what was the name of that movie where New York had been turned into a big prison island???). The west bank has it slightly easier, because they can still access supplies and get in touch with the outside world through Jordan. Root of the problem is the Apartheid policy that dictates that non-ethnic jews are not allowed to make up more than a certain percentage of the population in the state of Israel, so all those people kicked off their land has nowhere to go but the refugee camps and twiddle their thumbs (or build bombs, preach hatred, whatever).
  12. Did you try the v-sync settings on/off? Just an idea since it sometimes does funny things with mouse controls in some games.
  13. Thread getting a bit long. More stuff here
  14. Start of old thread End of old thread Guys I am really surprised that no one has commented on this game, I'll try again. " Look at this exciting uupcoming game" 'A' for effort. Looks interesting enough. Will wait and see feedback from release version though
  15. Tupac? Some kind of Inca deity?
  16. You'll probably get as many answers as there are people around answering them (i.e. it's an entirely subjective thing) I hated the switch of focus towards "actiony" combat (which is pretty poor as far as action combat goes, so a wasted effort), the QTE's (giving it that rather console like look and feel), the feeling of tiny cramped areas (which may be a real concern or not, at least they give the impression of being tiny), the piss poor responsiveness of Geralt to your controls (IMO), the very contrived gimmick in the beginning where you are forced to tag along, despite there being no believable reason to do so (even worse than having to drag peasant girl everywhere in NWN2), they still waste resources on mini games, music took a drop in quality etc. If I could be bothered to play the game a bit more, I could probably add to me list of grievances. The most serious offense is however, the game simply doesn't feel like fun to play.
  17. Not everything. If it has 8 legs, it's 50/50. If it has no legs, stay away from it. For the rest, it's trial an error Edit to add: If it has tentacles, stay away from it too. Box Jellyfish are nasty.
  18. I like the control scheme
  19. I admire your persistence. I grew bored of Witcher 2 long before getting stuck in quick time events. Will probably have to add it to the collection of "don't bother to finish" games.
  20. I love my SteelSeries Sensei. No LogiTech or Razer for me if I can avoid it (had a Microsoft mouse for almost a decade before I got this one). I think it was Logitech's crappy keyboards (the wireless ones) that taught me the value of buying quality peripherals.
  21. Behold, the Hand of Gorth We have this little Australian Water Dragon showing up at work regularly at lunch time. We've tried feeding it turkey, chicken, ham, lots of stuff, but apparently nothing beats cheese They love cheese so much that they overcome their shyness and eat out of your hand. Did a still from a video I made featuring the lizard and yours truly (and some cheese) and cropped it.
  22. I think my current MB comes with a handful of drivers anyway, for stuff that Gigabyte has added to the Intel chipset. Not sure if a prepacked solution would have fewer if you were to reinstall the operating system on it. I copy all my most recent drivers to a folder on my HDD anyway, so I don't have to go searching for them. Not that i reinstall that often these days (last time was the first in two years). Only thing I can remember from top of my head to pay attention to when building yourself (my preferred option) is the chipset. Make sure the CPU (socket type) and RAM (tri- or quad channel) works with it. Just about everything else is interchangeable if bought within the last 5 years.
  23. I wouldn't call it 'buggy as hell'... I'm almost through the game and only noticeable bug during the entire game was a guy with jet packs flying up and getting stuck inside the structure of a UFO. It's fun while it lasts, which isn't very long. Probably just as well, as the simplified game mechanics would lead to boredom if it dragged out. Edit: Not sure what qualifies as 'cheap' elsewhere in the world, but Gamersgate currently has it for $35 (which is dirt cheap for Aussies). You haven't been getting bugs such as camera messing up and not targeting the enemy, enemies getting stuck in places you can't get to, crashes, the game getting stuck and not being able to progress, many graphical bugs, or gameplay related bugs? Have you been playing multiplayer? A good portion of the bugs people are complaining about are in multiplayer. I don't play games in multiplayer, so that may be part of the reason .The bugs you mention don't sound familiar / not something I recognise. Currently almost cleared the first part of the templeship (sans the ethereals in the bow which ganged up on me and wiped my squad in my first attempt)
