I can recommend the TSLRCM mod. Works like a charm on the Steam version of Kotor2 (remember to disable automatic updates etc.)

One way to do that is to avoid "modern" monotheistic religions. I hope they will look towards stuff like ancient Celtic beliefs, Mayan and Inca religions, etc. which had one thing in common, they believed in offerings and human sacrifice. The latter is something you could easily (well, relatively), combine with soul mechanics, where you offer up souls to your gods. I don't think Obsidian has really elaborated yet on how much of an interest the pantheon(s) actually take in the lives of mortals?

Better deploying brakes too much than too little when you need them It's actually a bit different in my case, as this field is genuinely international in the sense that I might spend the rest of my life skipping from country to country. One never knows what they'd start looking at when they have no idea of how the system works. Entirely anecdotal, I know, but as somebody who has interviewed highly paid professionals from several continents, I think the only bit paid attention to was, so hey, you have a degree, nice. Nobody looked at the scores and paid more attention to the last 10 years of experience. The hard part is for people fresh out of the "system" is sometimes to get down and dirty, doing stuff that is underpaid and being overqualified for to get the all important experience and references, which count for way, way more.

It's a nice enough DLC. Not being too concerned about the price. I suspect, the sheer amount of work going into creating it is part of what sets the price tag, not just the expected demand for it. The story is not overwhelming and too much combat for me to get all giddy with excitement, but Aria was well done and some of the levels were jaw droppingly gorgeous (but then, Omega was commander Shepards favourite location in ME2), the mines in particular. The thing oozes high production values (real or not). Nyreen felt a bit like a wasted opportunity though. Not sure what could have been made different, but being a female Turian just wasn't enough to make an "interesting" character. All in all it was nice re-visit. I found Aria's couch, but I missed out on the inverter. I wish unsolvable quests would just disappear from my journal (like that one from Eden Prime that is now unsolvable if you leave the planet without finding all intel for the resistance).

Wait wait... Sata3 speeds are up to about 600 MB/s, which outclasses the maximum PCI bus speed of 533 MB/s, so why waste money with that? Plus, once you start doing multiple cards on PCI bus, things go south in a hurry. Unless you mean a PCIe card... Also, I love my very quiet p182 case. It's still faster than the 300mb max you get from SATA2 and yes, I meant PCIe. My MB has a single PCI (no 'express') slot which isn't used for anything Edit: Curses, the stores keep pushing the ETA for the Lian Li case back. It's now almost mid December. Grrr...

Depending on how old your card is, you may not get a lot of performance out of it anymore, but if the release notes for my card is anything to go by, they often includes bugfixes for stability issues, OS versions, tweaks for specific (popular) games etc.

Well, there are also many interesting story and lore possibilities that become available thanks to this very mechanic. It opens up a huge (and credible) source of conflict between gods and between groups of believers, and conflict makes for good stories. And these things are automatically excluded because we remove a straightforward correlation between worshippers and power? Why can't some gods and some worshippers vie for more influence because it's a common motive. People with money still long for influence. The President of the United States isn't made superhuman by the number of votes he receives. He's made more powerful by his influence over the apperatus of government. You could apply the same mechanism to deities. More followers equals more power, not because "my lightning bolt is bigger than yours!", but because my followers are more powerful/influential/dominant and so shape the world in my image. You could say, the end result is the same, even if for different reasons. I feel like playing Populous again. Good thing I grabbed it off GoG.

Just hi-jacking this thread a bit. A few friends and I play a p&p game where we've sadly lost 2 out of 4 players due to real life issues (leaving 2 players and the DM) the last couple of months. We could use at least one player, possibly two. If somebody has genuine interest in joining a completely dysfunctional party, heading for Ravenloft, death and damnation, send me a PM.

On a more serious note, I like the concept of Elder Gods and Younger Gods. A small group of all powerful, cantankerous old bastards that don't give a damn about anything and a more numerous bunch of less powerful, but way more active (and meddling) bunch of deities. Are "gods" going to represent concepts (war, trade, community etc.)? Are they going to represent objects (earth, water, beasts, forests etc.)? Are they representing personalities (like the norse gods, who had a goddess of wisdom, a god of mischief, a god of justice etc.)
