Overthrowing governments is an old and time-honoured tradition in Europe

Never underestimate full-contact chess! Slept on a mattress for the first time since last week. I'm getting old and soft, quite liked not sleeping on the floor anymore

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VIII (May RNG Be With You)

Yeah, read that on the official forums I don't know if my non-recurring subscription has enough days left to get the start of the expansion, but it's not going to get renewed. Good thing I got a few other games picked up. PoE and Dishonored are still waiting for me... time to give my wallet a much needed break. -

Mate, depending on class you can get a ship in 30-45 minutes by rushing your class mission on the capital world I'be seen level 65's having to give up on group content because not even guild ship transport works if the player doesn't have a ship -

Rule #1 Never queue for ops via GF. I don't think I ever had it pop for me. Go to fleet, wait patiently for a while until a group starts forming for the GF ops of the day and whisper the ops leader as soon as you see someone needing either dps or all roles. During weekends, I usually get 2-3 ops runs a day for my dps alts that way (goes for both Harbinger and TRE). -
Yeah, so.... like so many other games, I usually don't get started until everyone else are done and dusted with it. Finally got around to do some serious Pillars of Eternity gaming. Serious as in making it out of the very first cave and to the Gilded Vale and picking up 2 companions. I couldn't help but laugh out loud when the elf told the villager to go his sister

It's been a while since I got my 2 alts to where I wanted them (the "new companion" achievement). Sort of a sucker for operations, so I would recommend that as a fast levelling up tool once your alts hits level 50. Had an old level 54 scoundrel healer girl and just the last boss fight in TfB (plus the 3 hour exp boost) took her from 54 to 58 in 15 minutes. Rinse and repeat once or twice. It's currently double xp time too. Edit: Which admittedly also included the one time story bonus for doing the Terror from Beyond intro and outro conversations for some generous xp. -
Yeah but in those days alcohol was likely involved.Doing my time sleeping on the floor... Now where is the alcohol to soften up these old bones??? Gorthie but my understanding is the average Australian doesn't even own a bed as its considered pretentious I'm an immigrant. Aren't you supposed to be unconditionally supportive of me? The average Aussie probably also has a six pack in the fridge. Right now I would settle for having a fridge... Going to get a bed on Tuesday though and a fridge and a washing machine too next weekend (as well as internet, giving my mobile phone a break)

Moving out of my serviced apartment and into my new place tomorrow. Got most things organised, although Internet wont be connected until end of October. Bummer. Oh, and I suppose sleeping on the floor is going to make me feel all young again! Yes, a bed is top of my shopping list. Then a fridge, microwave and washing machine. The joys of moving in lots of months before your old stuff can arrive back where it started.

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VIII (May RNG Be With You)

Sort of. They made everything so easy now that balancing is a moot point. Companions are way overpowered, in-game economy has collapsed (makes post WWI German economy look rock solid by comparison) because of inflation (thanks to people getting freight trains loaded with credits for the recycled, dumbed down heroics) and pvp is pvp. Flavour of the month/year is healers. Best raid gear ("BiS") is obtainable from operations that are easier than story mode flashpoints and story mode flashpoints has been done away with (too hard for the masses), so they are now calling the "tactical flashpoints" (which means forget tactics, zerg rush everything). Only challenge left is the old NiM ops and HM Flashpoints (and people are whinging that the latter is too hard, because skills are required). -
Not intentionally, just a result of old age, my favourite moments might be from games people don't know (or only read/heard about). Memorable moments: Beating Demogorgon in the 'The Forbidden Forest' (one of those games where the total is greater than the sum of it's parts, just a perfectly timed build up of pace and increasingly spooky atmosphere). Finally beating Doomdark in Lords of Midnight (Mike Singleton was a bloody genious, still for me the best combination of roleplay, strategy and exploration only rivalled by 'Elite'). Speaking of which, reaching Elite status in 'Elite'. Take that you filthy Thargoids. Finally bringing the Amulet of Yendor back to the surface in Rogue. Last but not least, the warm and fuzzy feeling when my brother and I made it to level 99 in Bubble Bobble. No, we didn't beat it (didn't make it past level 100), but damn we had a blast.

Gorth got laid off? Shady did. As for moving back, let's just say I missed the climate and the geckos No that answer is lacking in accurate information, Gorth please dont break your record by being laconic or nebulous with your views What do you mean by weather ? The UK only has good weather in summer...you knew that ? But why not go back to Denmark,,,,where do your friends live? In Oz I assume...so do you consider Oz your home ? You should know by now that I'm almost physically incapable of lying... not even the little white lies. Truth is indeed that i missed the pleasant climate here in the sub tropics. Denmark is even worse than the UK, being cold and miserable 11 months most years. As for "home" and friends... being an old introvert I never had a large social circle, a few good friends, several of which I've had for 2-3 decades are not deterred by a bit of geographical distance. Besides the weather, I just felt claustrophobic in Europe. Whether in Germany or the UK, it was like it didn't matter where you went, if felt like there were hordes of people everywhere and endless queues of cars, even on the smallest of country roads. I just needed to get back to a place where I can get away from people when I feel like it, open empty areas without any people nearby just an hour or two away.

Start of old thread End of old thread Damn, sorry to hear Shady Pictures or it didn't happen... Found a roof over my head. Going to move in Friday next week. Just one more week to survive living in hotels. Better start looking for a some "emergency furniture". I.e. cheapest possible and disposable when I get my own stuff shipped back from Europe some day in a not so near future.

Arrived in Australia. First thing I did after checking in (a serviced apartment), was to find my toothbrush and a convenience store where I could buy toothpaste and instant coffee. My teeth were growing hair as a result of not seeing a toothbrush since Thursday morning and my breath could probably work as shark repellant. Not going to sleep yet (even though I haven't slept a single hour since Wednesday night) as I want to swat two flies in one go and get jet lag over with at the same time... even if 48+ hours with no sleep makes me see things that aren't there :D Landing in Brisbane taught me one thing... Young people are very sensitive in a funny way. It had been a nice flight until we got below around 5000 feet (no meter display on the inflight status thingie, only feet) and then it got a slightly turbulent. Nothing at all that rattles a regular flier to and from Wellington (NZ) mind you, so I just thought it a hilarious roller coaster ride. All the jumping up and down meant that the pilot overshot the runway a bit (quite visible from the inside), so instead of braking he put the throttle on full and went for another pass at trying to hit the elusive runway. That's when I noticed the retching noises and people everywhere grasping for the paper barf bags. Seriously, never seen that much vomiting on a single plane before. It was a big plane of course, but seriously guys... you can't pay people to arrange that much entertainment for you and then not appreciate it

That is probably not going to stop RIAA from trying? From the same article: "The rescue comes just months after another SAS sniper killed two ISIS car bombers as they drove toward Libya. The sniper’s bullet went through the driver’s skull and into the passenger’s neck, taking both out.". The generals here in the UK has been moaning about defense cuts... looks they have to save on ammo too in the field -

What got me hooked on Tomb Raider in the first place was the sense of exploration and discovery. Loved going where no (wo)man had gone for centuries and sometimes beyond the games borders Tomb Raider 2 was fun too, albeit a very different game. At TR III, they had sort of lost their touch and it was too much linearity and puzzles. IV was the first I didn't complete (those were the days before cheats and tutorials widely available on the internet). I bought the... not sure what it's name is but the first one of the new generation of Tomb Raider (same visual style as the sceenshots from sorophx), but it's telling I don't even remember it's name (and dropped it after 10 minutes, never to pick it up again).
