I usually only chase the venomous ones (like that red back family that started an “occupy Gorth’s shower” movement) with the insecticide can. Jumping spiders are just too cute and the larger huntsman spiders do get caught in a plastic bowl and piece of paper slid under it for eviction 🕷️ I usually spend more times chasing lizards as geckos are just a royal pain to catch. Darn sucker equipped feet make them excellent runners up and down walls and ceilings 😖

With his resume, not even Murdoch would be able to buy him a resident visa 😝 edit that's assuming the LNP (the center right coalition) stays away from power, after all they were happy to sell freedom to a convicted child rapist and let him breach Covid lockdown so he could go back to his dear papa Pope (who paid the millions of dollars the Morrison government estimated his freedom to be worth), just goes to show everything is for sale if the price is right (except Greenland)

Watched third episode of Dandadan. Momo is in denial about her feelings for "Okarun" and we get introduced to her grandmother. Her baseball bad is, if possible, even bigger than her attitude A bit more backstory on grandma as well as "Turbo Granny", who stole Okarun's weenie. Turns out these old ladies, grandma and turbo granny both, are "territorial" and strongest on their home turf.

It is way better than season 5-8 of the official show...

Watched second episode of Dandadan.... 😂 It's back weirder, wilder and wackier. Occult-kun (aka Ken Takakura and now renamed to Okarun because his real name drives Momos nuts) is still missing his weenie, so Momo brings his home to her grandmothers place where he almost got burnt to a crisp by said grandmothers wards and then both of them gets beset by an alien, as they haven't given up their ambitions of seizing bananas (we come on peace, give us your bananas!) 👽 Just a good laugh through and through. No higher brain functions required 😁

Cats have very fast reaction times, which is why it's possible to find youtube videos of cats dodging a cobra striking at them (even making it look easy) 🐍

Tl;dr; 20 years is a life time 👍 I still think back to those days in 1983, when fighting my mum over access to the TV. I swear, she never cared watching TV before, until I got that Commodore 64 and didn't have my own screen (yet) 😁 It was the fight of the titans, seeing who was the most stubborn 🤔 In the end, I made enough money to buy a 12" black and white TV to put up in my own room. Peace settled over the land and everyone could back to worry about total nuclear war (the real thing, not the later video game) But it's been a long journey, technologies come and go, concepts come and go, target audiences come and go. VHS won out over Beta MAX, but nobody today knows what the heck either of them are. Tapes were the original medium video games were sold on for home computers, whether they be Acorn BBC model B or Sinclair ZX Spectrums. Floppy disks followed and less floppy, floppy (3.5") followed and eventually cd roms. Even those eventually died out and everyone gets their fix from the internet. Scratching my head and wondering what replaces the current internet some day? All of that in 2x20 years.

The problem with a guy like Trump is he has no policy, nor does he represent anyone but his own interests. He'll change opinion faster than an A/C current if he thinks it benefits him personally. Which is also why it's hard to quote him sometimes, because he'll champion both sides depending on the audience. As long as they declare their undying love for him... I.e. trying to attribute a particular policy (for or against) to Trump is an exercise in futility.

As indicated, I'm inclined to take their reporting from the Tel Aviv area at face value 👍

That’s sort of limits their trustworthiness to impacts in the city of Tel Aviv, doesn’t it? Not knowing those media, I would be surprised if they didn’t get most of their information as third hand information, handed down from the people affected to the official Israeli channels and finally the curated version to said media. I would wait 12-24 months for independent media to have fact checked the various claims. Heck, they could all be right, missile defense being no good and the Iranian missiles slaughtering cows and grasshoppers on farmland 🤷‍♂️ edit: fixed various typos graciously brought to you by my phone

It was a busy Monday night for me today, doing the citizenship ceremony at Brisbane City Hall. Lots of pomp, music, military brass, political elite and various other representatives. Music by the Royal Australian Navy, an Aboriginal Group and a sizeable girls choir... and I really just wanted to go home, chafing in my shirt! I really hate wearing shirts! 😂 I stuck with the program, the speeches, the ceremony, the pledges, the singing of a new national anthem (for me) and ended up getting my new citizenship certificate as a reward for two years of paperwork 😖 Now I can add Australian Citizen too on my CV 😎 The girl choir also gave a decent rendition of this old hit!
