  1. Was I whining? Anyway, You still compare NWN1 toolset to NWN2 toolset in terms of "intuitiveness" because you were using NWN1 toolset for too long, and naturally NWN1 toolset will be more intuitive. I haven't used it that much hence NWN2 toolset doesn't seem a single bit unintuitive to me. Try to unlearn NWN1 toolset, try getting used to new hotkeys (using shift/alt/ctrl with mouse helps) and it will not be as hard.
  2. Actually I was thinking about it lately. I never get to watch movies at home for a variety of reasons, so might as well use train travel time.
  3. Volo included, of course.
  4. Yes, you will be able to see them if you switch to the proper encoding (Cyrillic, Windows-1251).
  5. It is in Russian, Windows-1251 encoding. Message in a nutshell: financial scam (E-gold, to be exact).
  6. It is called learning curve. The problem is that people try using it as it was NWN1 toolset and are disappointed because it is not what they got used to. They will whine for a couple of months, but then will realize that the interface of the new toolset is actually better.
  7. I like my 4Gb nano, and its battery life is great (due to lack of hard-drive), best mp3 player I had to date. But if you are looking for more than music, I think it is worth waiting for other portables to come in the market, then you'll get a chance to see if there is any better alternative, or buy an iPod at the reduced price as it should theoretically go down. Either way is better than getting it now.
  8. Right now I am wondering about why a forum link placeholder on the Interplay site has been replaced with a link to online chess.
  9. I was actually being serious. Honestly, isn't it a bit... well, late for toolset preview and "exclusive" screenshots?
  10. What's new? Wasn't the toolset discussed to death on Bioware forums?
  11. But the question now is whether is the author of both reviews is the same person.
  12. This is the thing that actually bothered me a lot, though I think NWN2 will not be as bad.
  13. If it was sarcasm, please disregard the following reply. "ONLY SERVES TO SPEED UP DEVELOPMENT" Of course it is. But sometimes you have to change your model, because you haven't constructed the model correctly due to inexperience in the domain of application and/or your implementation framework has a very different philosophy as compared to your model.
  14. Keep in mind that Mozilla browsers are as buggy as IE, it is the fact that popularity is directly correlated with the number of discovered vulnerabilities that makes IE look bad. Bigger popularity = bigger security threat. Same goes with antivirus hit rate, by the way.
  15. Same goes with any abstract model - there are always some implementation quirks. And also, experience often affects how big are the changes that you have to make.
  16. That was funny.
  17. My electricity bills haunt me to the extent that I do turn my computer off everytime I finish working. If I have to have a computer running at night, I use my old laptop.
  18. Pffft, it is hardly a "cut". Someone is just spoiled by ADSL2+ broadband. Of course you can't comfortably watch youtube at this speed, but reading online media doesn't take that much bandwidth.
  19. I remember myself learning C++ in high school and then being unable to implement something more or less substantial using it. It is better to start with C/C++ after you know some fundamentals of computer architecture. After that things make much more sense and debugging is not that hard too.

    Simple.
  22. Actually I can't see what's the deal with camera in NWN1, I could easily rotate (hold mouse wheel) and zoom without spending too much time on it.
  23. I wouldn't say it is done intentionally, you shouldn't expect some other reaction from a person who have seen the collapse of Soviet Union. Some things just seem to be very reminiscent of USSR, so he's a bit jaded.
  24. Why do I see so many reposted links from slashdot stories these days? Maybe because I read slashdot too much?
