I rarely play games lately, but I'll definitely set aside a good chunk of time to play STALKER.

The Black Hound FAQ
Throne of Bhaal was kinda "meh", especially the WK. I can hardly remember what it was about even.

NWN2 XP 1 announced!
I get that error too. Anyways, I suppose it is a link to forum post, care to post it here?

My results with pickpocketing in NWN 2
That was actually a major source of income for me in Sigil. I always make sure I pickpocket every single living thing in Clerks Ward. (Some fragile-looking ladies there turned out to be carrying a battleaxe though... )

Obsidian's third project
I doubt a handful of people in "NWN2 Live Team" counts as a project. If it is indeed expansion, that's great news!

MIT to offer its courses free online by year end
Well, this is not exactly groundbreaking, as most universities do not hide their course lecture notes, you can find gazillions of them online. Also it is not a replacement for attending the university, because the main value of it is not course lecture notes.

DEFCON, from Wargames
I like their slogan. "The last of the bedroom programmers".
-
DEFCON, from Wargames
Well I suck at them too, but it is alright for casual strategy gamers, and the atmosphere is awesome.
-
DEFCON, from Wargames
I have them both (and they are available for Linux too, BTW). Came in a bundle on Steam. PS But the don't engage me as much as DEFCON.

A project plan for building a persistent world
Yes I saw that a while back and though it would be entertaining to modify it to something closer to home. gezz do you always have to take the joy out of something with your snide comments? You are such a stick in the mud. Well, I'm sorry for not agreeing with you, but I said what I think. I still prefer the original.

Has anyone use OpenOffice?
Microsoft's standard is OOXML. Office sales account for a huge chunk of Microsoft's profits and they won't let this go easily.

Has anyone use OpenOffice?
Scribus. But since I know jack about desktop publishing, I can't comment on that one.
-
Has anyone use OpenOffice?
Well it has most of Office's features, but they are quite... hidden. So it is even comparable with some stretch of imagination. Anyways, here is comparison table.
