  1. I hope there is a KOTOR 3 to make it a trilogy and end it there. I don't want to be playing KOTOR 7, etc. Speaking of KOTOR 3, considering the variables KOTOR 2 had to take in account from K1 (female/male, darkside, etc), the third KOTOR should have fun trying to work with elements from both K1 & 2.
  2. http://www.rebelscum.com/article.asp?i=88075 Ah, concerning the Great Hunt: Duron's Journal This a data pad appears to be the personal journal of the Jedi Duron Qel-Droma. The last entry reveals what he was doing on this world: Korriban is everything I imagined - and feared. I can feel the power of the dark side here, I can sense the terentatek hiding in this evil place. Shaela and I have decided to venture forth into the Valley of the Sith Lords in search of the creatures. I only wish Guun Han was still with us. Why couldn't he just accept that Shaela and I are in love? He claims our passion for each other will lead us down the dark side, but he can't even see how his own pride and arrogance are leading him away from the light. Maybe it is good that he left, after all. Even as dangerous as the terentatek are, I'm certain Shaela and I can defeat one without his help. Shaela's Journal This data pad is the personal journal of the Jedi Shaela Nur. Her last entry is particularly compelling: I have tracked the terentatek that ambushed us in the Shyrack caves to this tomb, but even as I stand at the entrance I know this is wrong. Dark thoughts fill my mind: hatred and vengeance. I cannot stop myself from blaming Gunn Han for Duran's death. If he had not abandoned us, my love would surely have survived the terentatek's first attack. But my hatred of Gunn Han pales beside my burning desire for revenge. My blood boils to destroy the creature that ended Duran's life, no matter what the cost. I know such thoughts are those of the dark side, but I cannot help them. Even the second set of tracks outside the cave cannot dissuade me from my task. One terentatek, two, a thousand... it makes no difference to me now. The only image I see is that of Duran's broken body, and only blood can cleanse it from my mind. I hope my Master will forgive me for what I am about to do. Guun Han's Journal This data pad was recovered from the remains of a terentatek on Kashyyyk, and must have been devoured by the beast. It appears to be the personal journal of Guun Han Saresh. The last entry explains what he was doing on Kashyyyk: Duran and Shaela have given in to their passion for each other, and are doomed to fall to the dark side. I tried to warn them against expressing their love, but they called me arrogant and accuse me - ME! - of being the one on the dark path. I left the fools on Korriban. But I am not about to abandon the mandate given me by the Jedi Council. I will destroy the terentatek wherever I find them. I have heard rumors such a beast may exist in the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk. I shall go there and slay the beast, proving that I do not need either Duran or Shaela with me to defeat these creatures!

  4. Well, the pic he posted looks really, really veridic... http://img7.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img7&image=16-game.jpg
  5. "There are 11 Lightsaber forms to learn (though you can only learn 7 total), which allow you to choose the type of defense and offense to match the situation. There are forms to handle being surrounded by opponents, for taking on foes with blasters, and even a Lightsaber form to handle Jedi." It doesn't say 11 forms total it says 11 LIGHTSABER forms, whether its right or wrong we wont know until we play the game. But from the way ut sounds there, there will be 15 forms total (11 Lightsaber forms and 4 force forms). Also for those who are interested all the lightsaber forms which can be learned in the game are open to any type of saber and also to multiple sabers as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read my post on the first page: In KOTOR II, you can learn up to six of the seven Jedi Lightsaber Forms. These Lightsaber Forms are the domain of the Sentinels and Guardians. Consulars learn the most basic ones, but then study Force Forms, which affect how they utilize their Force Powers.
  6. Yep. Local channel shows one martial arts movie every saturday, horrible dubbing included. Nur, good link. Missed while searching theforce.net forums for info.
  7. http://xbox.ign.com/articles/563/563609p2.html?fromint=1 In KOTOR II, you can learn up to six of the seven Jedi Lightsaber Forms. These are fighting techniques whose effectiveness depends upon the tactical situation. Each form shines in certain conditions, but also has weaknesses. Learning the characteristics of the Lightsaber Forms, and switching between them as the combat situation changes, can allow a Jedi to prevail in what would otherwise be a fatal encounter. These Lightsaber Forms are the domain of the Sentinels and Guardians. Consulars learn the most basic ones, but then study Force Forms, which affect how they utilize their Force Powers. Force Potency, for example, increases the damage inflicted by many Force Powers, but taxes the Jedi's energy. Force Affinity, on the other hand, allows the Jedi to focus so completely that they can even recover their Force Points during combat. As with the Lightsaber Forms, mastering when to use each Force Form will have a profound effect on a Jedi's effectiveness in combat. EDIT: Concerning the seventh form, it is a little conflict point. For those that care, the Seventh form is called Juyo and Vaapad is a form included in it, it seems. http://boards.theforce.net/message.asp?top...&start=16376599

  9. Tracked the official announcement to give the details of the books GhostofAnakin alluded to. http://www.starwars.com/eu/news/2004/09/news20040901.html Also that year (2006) is the Star Wars novel debut of author Drew Karpyshyn. As a writer for BioWare, Karpyshyn worked on such rich games as Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. He will write a tale set in the Old Republic era, scheduled for hardcover release in October 2006. In October of 2007, Elizabeth Hand will write a novel set in the Old Republic era.
  10. Just checked it. My mistake. :">
  11. Yep, what Nuke posted was what more or less, was shown in Sith War, save some things, for example, the Mandalore vs Ulic was in Harkul, not in Kuar. Here is another summary of The Sith War, from the Timetales at theforce.net "Tales of the Jedi: The Sith War." Six months have passed since Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma fell to the Dark Side. The forces of Lord Mandalore attack the Empress Teta system. However, when Ulic defeats the masked Lord Mandalore one-on-one on the planet Harkul, the Mandalorian warriors become Qel-Droma's servants. Meanwhile, Exar Kun tries to recruit Jedi from Ossus, taking twenty of them (including Oss Wilum). He steals the Sith Holocron from Odan-Urr and murders him. At the shipyards of Foerost, the united Krath / Mandalore forces begin their invasion, gaining 300 Republic warships. Ulic vows to move on to Coruscant. Training the Jedi on Yavin IV, Kun refuses to aid him, saying he will go on alone if Qel-Droma fails. The invasion begins, as Vodo, Nomi, and Cay organise the defence. Aleema abandons Ulic to be captured, using Lord Mandalore to replace him. Mandalore is aware of Aleema
  12. KOTOR I didn't occur exactly at 4000 before yavin. More like around 3956 years before.
  13. The Krath were not based on Onderon. They were from the Teta System. What was in Onderon was the cult of Freedon Nadd (cue to a comment on the name), or Naddists. As detailed in the Chronicles, two Krath traveled to Onderon and meet with one of the leaders of the Nadd cult.
  14. Nice find. It confirms something about the HK droid.
  15. I enjoy some "pockets" of EU, like Tales of the Jedi and some other things, don't care for the rest, for example, all the New Jedi Order sutff.
  16. You mean Satal and Aleema Keto? Wait for the next Chronicle, their fate should be revealed there.
  17. That's the one they are refering to. The Chronicles appear in two places: - Gamespy offers short synopsis and two pics with each Chronicle. - The Kotor 2 site has the full text of the Chronicle. Up to 3 now.
  18. It will probably have the exact same cheats as KOTOR 1, but maybe they will work better. The cheating in KOTOR was a little inestable. You could end screwing your game, specially using the invulnerability cheat. What I enjoyed was that some cheats allowed to see things that didn't make it, using the spawn cheat allowed you to see items that were cut from the game, like the Teta Bands or the Ulic Qel Droma's mesh armor, or even visit an unfinished level. Like a deleted scene on a movie, or al ook behind the scenes.
  19. Nice finding. Well, yeah, that's definitely Mandalore...
  20. It seems someone has been reading the Essential Chronology.
  21. It is just a sinopsis of two comics miniseries, set 1000 years before KOTOR, Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith & The Fall of the Sith Empire.
  22. The wording, I guess... They really should update the official site soon.
  23. ... A good level of doubt is not a bad thing to have... But something being doubtful doesn't make it automatically a lie. So give the benefit of the doubt and wait for confirmation from other sources...
  24. You are thinking of Freedon Nadd.
  25. http://www.lucasarts.com/products/swkotor/...andalorian.html "United under Mandalore (the ceremonial name given to their leader), the ruthless warrior clans descended en masse on an unsuspecting galaxy."
