I had a black screen problem as described in https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/97385-linux-unable-to-start-game-hangs-on-black-screen/ on the game launch, I've used the "SDL_DYNAMIC_API=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSDL2-2.0.so.0" workaround but it doesn't help with 1.1b. I also tried other workarounds from that topic to no avail. I'm using Debian unstable with nVidia drivers. The game works again after downgrading to the release patch.

So did you hear what people say in the game? The Queen is powerless against trade companies, especially if you don't do her quests. And if you do, you kill her on Ukaizo.

Probably the same as the quest failed ones? They don't mention Bearn. Though I don't think you need to recruit Xoti to get the Eder's quest.

But "killing the whole palace, and exiling the queen" isn't required. That's what the wiki says. That's also what ingame persons say about the Queen vs the trading companies.

Although you are right, the main ending is primarily faction choice. It does kind of "feel" like more than that as you play through the quests tho and their are subendings, like for the gullet, or the fampyrs. It is nice when you have multiple choices though, as with the gullet, and in some cases you don't have many. Not an obvious one? Isn't it a default VTC ending? And most non-pirate endings are good, you just don't know about that when making choices.

Nor Pallegina's. She doesn't even have an issue with the whole slavery thing. She says "no way VTC would do that kind of thing".

Used a human Explorer from White that Wends, got maybe 3 instances of Explorer reaction, maybe 1 check for it. White that Wends was only in the Rekke dialog (trying some language from there, apparently) and a "my people showed me on the map the place you are from" from, I think, Queen Onekaza.

I don't know where she is from But the Val are in deadfire no ? So.. Honestly , don't know . the real question is : Is she patriotic toward her country or 'patriote' toward the Val ? Ugh. She was born in Vailian Republics. She is a paladin in service of Vailian Repulblics' rulers. Vailian Republics are definitely not in Deadfire. She is patriotic towards Vailian Republics, Vailian Republics' ducs bels and by extension towards the Vailian Trading Company.

They are all godlikes. They think that the discovery will lead to abortions of godlikes. If you think that abortions are fine then they are OK with publishing the discovery, otherwise they are not (remember they are using your opinion as the casting vote).

Coming with the difficulty patch. Though solo runs of party-based RPGs with dialogs and banter are hardly "good play".

Morale dipping to 1 doesn't give your mutiny though, you need a lot more time or luck. I've got a special event about cannibalism and two events about a fist duel before getting the mutiny.
