I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite thread on Obsidian

Most of the problems I had with the mako were just level design issues. Some of the uncharted worlds were are real PITA to navigate. -

Nah, Krogan love is where the creepiness is at. One thing about the DLC that I just noticed, Liara seemed to have grown in some areas. Wonderarmor! Well Benezia was her mother. Liara was bound to fill out a little with those genes. -
For hype.

For WoW players amongst us, concerned about their privacy
tripleRRR replied to Mamoulian War's topic in Computer and Console
No more Real ID on the bliz forums. Hello everyone, I'd like to take some time to speak with all of you regarding our desire to make the Blizzard forums a better place for players to discuss our games. We've been constantly monitoring the feedback you've given us, as well as internally discussing your concerns about the use of real names on our forums. As a result of those discussions, we've decided at this time that real names will not be required for posting on official Blizzard forums. It's important to note that we still remain committed to improving our forums. Our efforts are driven 100% by the desire to find ways to make our community areas more welcoming for players and encourage more constructive conversations about our games. We will still move forward with new forum features such as conversation threading, the ability to rate posts up or down, improved search functionality, and more. However, when we launch the new StarCraft II forums that include these new features, you will be posting by your StarCraft II Battle.net character name + character code, not your real name. The upgraded World of Warcraft forums with these new features will launch close to the release of Cataclysm, and also will not require your real name. I want to make sure it's clear that our plans for the forums are completely separate from our plans for the optional in-game Real ID system now live with World of Warcraft and launching soon with StarCraft II. We believe that the powerful communications functionality enabled by Real ID, such as cross-game and cross-realm chat, make Battle.net a great place for players to stay connected to real-life friends and family while playing Blizzard games. And of course, you'll still be able to keep your relationships at the anonymous, character level if you so choose when you communicate with other players in game. Over time, we will continue to evolve Real ID on Battle.net to add new and exciting functionality within our games for players who decide to use the feature. In closing, I want to point out that our connection with our community has always been and will always be extremely important to us. We strongly believe that Every Voice Matters, ( http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/mission.html ) and we feel fortunate to have a community that cares so passionately about our games. We will always appreciate the feedback and support of our players, which has been a key to Blizzard's success from the beginning. Mike Morhaime CEO & Cofounder Blizzard Entertainment -
It's still pretty cool they support their games so long after release.

Well, you can eat plain old deep mushrooms for stamina on warriors and rogues. It's not alot of stamina but it is enough for 1 or 2 abilities.
-
Barely, and I mean I was really disappointed, it's waaay too damn short.
-
The quartermaster in the mage tower sells a huge amount of it.

I am going through my first run through of the game right now with a rogue specialized in dueling. Last time I checked I was doing 41% of the total damage for my party. And considering the bug with dex not applying to daggers I could be doing more than that easy if that is fixed before I finish this play through. Rogues require some more careful tending and management than the other classes, but I don't feel they suck in any way. Archers now, not at all impressed with those one bit.

Well I have the game, installed fine. But registering the copy to DL the toolset, and trying to get DLC is just impossible right now. The website bio is using is almost totally nonfunctional. >< No it does not Pope.
-
I never fished more than 2 or 3 times. It just didn't seem to have a point. As for Brink I guess he follows you unless he is after one of the monsters. I dunno I went through those levels pretty fast.
-
For a rodent who hates the game so very much, Boo sure talks about it all the time
-
Probably subscription, but I don't believe that Bio has said anything either way.
-
I mourn the lack of more freespace games daily.

Mass Effect. Followed closely by VtMB.
-
Bioware has said they aren't doing anymore M/M romances due to lack of popular demand apparently.

A New Game Unannounced from Blizzard
tripleRRR replied to Magister Lajciak's topic in Computer and Console
Blizzard's writing is designed to appeal to the broadest range of people possible. It is for the most part simple and predictable. Nevertheless it is presented well and is no worse than a good 90% of the RPG "stories" out there. -
Fighters are determined combat adepts trained to protect the other members of their adventuring groups. Fighters define the front line by bashing and slicing foes into submission while reflecting enemy attacks through the use of heavy armor. Fighters draw weapons for gold, for glory, for duty, and for the mere joy of unrestrained martial exercise. Regardless of your level of skill and the specific weapons you eventually master, your motivations determine who you defend and who you slay. You could be a noble champion who pledges your blade to gallant causes, a calculating mercenary who cares more for the clink of gold than praise, a homeless prince on the run from assassins, or a blood-loving thug looking for the next good fight. Your future is yours. When you unsheathe your weapon, what battle cry flies from your lips?

Currently going through the single player campaign for Dawn of War 2. It's awesome.

I hope we get to see more of the citadel. It's so damn huge and we were only allowed to explore a tiny portion.

I don't really mind the thought of Shepherd dead, but I would have liked it to happen in the previous game, instead of some mythical in-between crap. Like when Shepherd's death at that point would be understandable, heroic, and a great setup for the next game. An incredible example of self-sacrifice, heroism, and so on. Instead we get this "hey guess what? Shepherd's dead!" No thanks.
-
Yes it did, I guess that's why they're called "teasers." In all seriousness though, Shepherd better not be dead. That would be seriously not cool Bio.
-
Demigod - looks like Dota except with only 8-10 heroes and a couple more maps. I hope they add more heroes otherwise it's not going to last long. Rise of the Argonauts - reminds me of Mass Effect set in mythical Greece. Dragon Age - on the fence about this one. While I do like Bio's games for the most part, DA looks so damn generic that it just seems uninteresting. After watching a couple gameplay videos it almost seems like I have already played the game.

Yeah, the rhetoric should probably be toned down a bit before this thread gets pruned. But so far this is a very interesting and insightful discussion, I would hate to see it closed.
