Phew, Sharks just technically passed Vancouver to move into 8th. 7 games to go...I don't know if my heart can take this.

Interesting interview about the Warhammer MMORPG

It's got a very experienced team behind it, as DAoC was probably the most succesful MMORPG without a huge publisher backing it. I still imagine it will stick to many MMORPG conventions though, even if it changes a few things. -
I'm still using the free mount.

Do you want to tell that to Deep Space Nine?

I'm really surprised they are charging PC users for the mods. I kinda get it on the Xbox, although I think Live should just be a bit more and everything except full games should be free. I actually bought the armor on my 360, but that's because I had the extra points lying around. I'm still using Prior Maybell's horse, so now she looks fancy. I'm a bit surprised by all the horse complaints. I think it's rather realistic how they move. At least it isn't just like putting on fast shoes, like in many other RPG's. It feels awkward...like you are sitting on a horse.

I think Firefly needs the Captain and Jane to create the same atmosphere as the series and the movie. The rest of the characters can be replaced, but I think they are crucial. But TNG found a pretty awesome captain replacement...some might say an even better choice than Shatner. Personally I think they are pretty different beasts. Firefly is much more character and dialogue driven, while Star Trek was always based more around literary themes with a healthy dose of sci-fi talk.

I honestly don't know how Daredevil is getting a sequel, that was retched. In fact, the Jennifer Garner spin off was partly a sequel (she was signed to both simultaneously.) You'd think two stinkers would be enough. The Hulk did pretty decent, from what I remember. It had a big budget, so it was probably hard to match, but I don't remember it being a real disappointment at the box office. The Punisher was made pretty cheaply. It didn't take in much, but I doubt it had a huge budget to cover. I'd like to see a sequel, although I wasn't entirely satisfied with the first one. The character development was pretty shallow. They had that great guy with the guitar who seemed like he'd be interesting, and they did nothing with it. Still, Thomas Jane was a great choice.

Some of the art in Strategy guides is cool, in fact I nearly bought the WoW one just for the Penny Arcade strips. Still, I'd rather have surprises all along the way and just search for specific hints when I need them. I just hate when the EB Store guy tells me I should get the guide. Leave me the F- alone you pimply metagamer!

It's really going to come down to the line. I'm watching Chicago beat Colorado and it's very rewarding... Dang, they just tied it with less than a minute remaining. Ah well, San Jose won, so I can go to bed happy.

Kipper had his chance at the number 1 spot in San Jose and he failed miserably. Sutter took a gamble on him and it paid off. I'm very glad he's doing so well in Calgary, but I can't say I'd give up my two goalies for him right now. Nabokov has proven himself with three 30-win seasons and Toskala is coming into his own. I do think that Nabokov will recover. At one point, San Jose had Nabokov, Kiprusoff, Johan Hedberg, and Vesa Toskala. That's some pretty solid goalie depth, but you can only play one at a time.

At first I believed Sega-soldier was a legitimate poster, but after this horrendous plug, I'm convinced he is a plant.

I went to the Sharks game tonight. I'm amazed they managed a point, seeing as they didn't even show up for the first two periods. At least that will help them gain a bit of ground. Scott Parker is a lame goon and he doesn't deserve to sit on the bench.

SECRETS UNVEILED: THE ADDICTION OF EVERQUEST II
Hurlshort replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
I played EQ2 for a little over a month. It's got a lot of neat details. The item variety, collector quests, housing, and all that is really well done. Unfortunately it really is a hardcore grinding game. You grind crafting, you grind levels, and that's the bulk of the game. Also, all the cool content seems only accessible to high level characters. I made it to level 18, but I felt like the locales I was fighting in were pretty generic. It seemed like a serious uphill battle to get to see the cooler zones. All in all, it's more hardcore than WoW, but that's not necessarily a good thing. -
Welcome aboard! Seriously, this is the crankiest bunch of forum trolls I've ever known, but they are all softies deep down.

I've been having an absolute blast. I joined the Thieves guild, which was fun, and I'm slowly getting better gear. Oh, yeah, you NEED to rent a room at the Imperial Waterfront in, I can't remember the name but it's a ship. Just do it.

I believe the 5 million refers to retail copies sold. It doesn't really matter, the point is there are a lot of people subscribing to the game. People can loathe MMORPG's all they want, but it's not a genre that is going to die anytime soon.

Montreal took it to them, yikes. The West is a pretty messed up situation. LA is down by a goal and currently a point out, Edmonton will be in 9th if they can't win, but they are up a goal, and Vancouver has played too many games.
-
Well, if you are going to make a product, are you going to target 5 million stupid people with money to spend, or 1 really smart cheapskate like you? I mean, I'm just saying...
-
Hehe, people are calling WoW a lesser game...that's funny. It has 5 million subscribers. That's basically the size of Chicago. Blizzard convinced an entire metropolitian city to pay them $15 a month. I'm pretty sure that is a successful business venture.

*Places his Starcraft: Ghost expectations in a grave next the Warcraft Adventures*

I use my torch frequently, and it really makes a difference in the light. I was actually down in the sewers for a quest, nd I decided to douse my torch and sneak around with my bow. I started getting way creeped out. Sewers + Dark = Teh scary.

Personally, I've enjoyed the lockpicking mini-game. Since picks are pretty plentiful, Peter Piper picks productively.

They lost most of those 17 before they got Thornton. Honestly, the Sharks had a horrible beginning schedule. I'm not saying that's why they are in the spot they are in, but it didn't help to have 7 of their first 9 games on the road. They also had 17 road games and only 9 home games in the first couple months. That's a brutal schedule. They've gone 8-7-3 on the road since they picked up Thornton. The fact is, with the games in hand, they only need to go .500 to catch a few of those teams. So tell your Oilers to win! Happy B-Day Alan!
