  1. That's surprising, I thought Titan Quest did alright from a sales perspective. It seemed to get enough attention to do so.
  2. Dang, Krookie got it first. It's great though, maybe I'll just copy him. Without the lame dinosaurs

He is Russian. Maybe he's like Drago from Rocky, more machine than man. That would possibly result in a human suckiness.
  4. ****, I thought he was just busy. That sucks. Was he banned here or at Codex? Man...if they really ban people here, I'm surprised a few folks are still here.

I'm not quite sure why this gets you so worked up. Of course a great player isn't going to have a reputation as a playoff performer until he proves it. People will question that part of his game until he removes doubt.

Some players struggle early in their careers during the playoffs, like Stevie Y. Some seem to only come awake during the playoffs, like Claude Lemieux. Some never seem to find a way to win in the playoffs, like Curtis Joseph. I'm not sure what is so controversial about that.
  7. To have faith is to have a belief that has no empirical data justify such belief, therefore by its very nature faith is unreasonable. Having faith in a religion is an act of being unreasonable. Not really. Having faith in something doesn't necessarily make it unreasonable. People put their faith in the unknown all the time. It's impossible to reason out everything in this world, no matter what the empirical data is, you will always have anomolies (sp?). For example, why do people put their faith in a certain sports team winning a game? Why can't we just put together all the empirical data and determine the winner based on that? Because there are too many variables, too many possible outcomes, too much complexity. Life is the same way. Through reason and science we can explain an enormous amount, just like we can calculate who has the better players or the better gameplan. But it's impossible to always predict the outcome. So most people put their faith behind a team, and it's reasonable in their own minds, even if it is a longshot according to the empirical evidence.

I'm surprised the Pens traded Armstrong, he seemed to click with Crosby. I'm not saying Hossa won't do good things, but they need to develop chemistry quick and Hossa might not be around for long. They've got to fork over a lot of money in the coming years to keep this current line up.

God I hope Richards doesn't fix his game in Dallas. I hope he stinks up the place I'm really surprised that Columbus seems to be selling. They have a legitimate shot at a playoff spot. Foote is a defensive leader who can still play positional hockey better than most, and it sounded like he wanted to stay with them for the rest of his career. They practically gave him away. It just seems like they don't have faith in the team, and that's too bad. I was actually pretty impressed when I watched them a few times this season.

The Avs picked up Adam Foote too. Sharks got Brian Campbell for Steve Bernier. I haven't really seen Campbell much, but everybody seems to rave about him. This fills a huge whole for the Sharks, they really only had three top defensemen, so now they've rounded that out. They can finally get that big lout Semenov off the ice. Bernier could really blossom in Buffalo, he's got terrific potential. The other big trade is Brad Richards to Dallas for what seems like almost nothing. That's pretty upsetting as a Sharks fan, but Dallas is a pretty tight defensive team, so Richards might have trouble gelling in time for the playoffs. It's going to be a good deal different than Tampa for him.
  11. That's wonderful news. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the Muslim world reacts to it.

Last year was extremely active, at least I thought it was. Forsberg signed with the Avs, which I don't think is a huge deal. He's really struggled to make an impact the last few seasons because he can't maintain the physical play that he used to.

I'm pretty shocked at the complete lack of movement. With tomorrow being the deadline, I'm really not sure how big a day it will be.
  14. It's like they found some underground reservoir of awesome and they tapped it. And then, just when it seemed it would dry up, they found another reservoir... in space.
  15. What? But it's Australian for beer!
  16. Nope, just as long as it's not some wierd swirly thing. This is gonna be awesome.
  17. ? corona is 4.6% by volume, which is standard for nearly all beers without doing something extra. even guiness is only 4% or so. taks I don't know, it could just be a mental thing. I just never feel all that drunk drinking Corona.
  18. Can I get one too Deadly? But please make it different than Krook's.
  19. Corona is excellent when I don't really feel like drinking. It's the closest you can get to a non-alcoholic beer without being really lame.
  20. Yes it is, since a proper head of a rehabilitation program for people convicted of drunk driving would be opposed to drunk driving, just like an anti-drunk driving activist is. They're not the same, no, but that one common interest is what makes the difference. Otherwise, what the hell is she doing with that job if she isn't? And clearly she isn't, since she was hammered when she got caught. Ironic? Definitely. It would make sense that she would be against drinking, but with rehab that's rarely the case. People in charge of rehab facilities tend to be people with problems of their own. I had to sit in on quite a few AA meetings for my sister, and the people in charge were always recovering alcoholics themselves. Also, most of these rehab facilities have an absolutely abysmal success rate. Only 5% of people who go through AA once stay clean.
  21. I'm a hefewiezen fan, although I probably mispelled that. I typically order one whenever I get a steak, as I find it compliments the taste. I drink pretty rarely, so I usually go for the good stuff.
  22. Be Kind Rewind - funny and heartwarming. I enjoyed it, thought it was pretty clever. Mos Def and Jack Black always entertain me, though, so if you don't care for either then you probably won't like it. The Wicker Man - I tivo'd it and then fast forwarded through a few parts. It was awkwardly directed, and I think the story and cast probably could have pulled of a decent flick if it weren't for the bad directing. It was just terrible in the dialogue department, it really felt like Nicholas Cage and whoever he was interrogating were speaking different languages. Stardust - It had been awhile since I read the book, but I was happy enough with the changes made in the film. I thought it was pretty charming. It wasn't fantastic, but it kept my interest and Claire Danes looked great. It did seem a bit torn about whether to be a children's movie or an adult fantasy. I wish they gave the dead brothers more screen time.
  23. The electoral does help smaller states have an actual impact in the election. Rhode Island and Montana would be a political no man's land without the EC.
  24. It was still a very nice offer. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, folks.

I think it helps that we know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Season 3 was kinda like "ok, how long do they plan to draw the series out?" Now that we know there is a six season storyline, you can see how the pacing is working, and I'm excited to be over the halfway mark.
