  1. Ooops, you are very right. I can't keep my fantasy TV series characters straight. This is almost as embarrassing as when Spike became an FBI agent in Bones and Angel became a Billy Idol impersonator on the Las vegas strip.
  2. Ok, after finishing the episode and reading up a bit on wikipedia, I have no clue what crazy timeline they are using here. It's going to be an odd series, that's for sure.
  3. Ok, I'm watching the pilot right now, and it actually seems pretty solid. It takes place shortly after T2, so the cops are after Sara and John. There's a Terminator trying to kill John, but there's also a surprising female Terminator protecting him. It's Willow from Firefly. I was pretty shocked! Sara Connor is played by the lady who played the queen in 300. She's pretty good as well. The bad Terminator seems pretty generic, why couldn't they get the liquid guy from T2? He's not doing anything, I saw him in a WWE movie awhile back and he could use the work. John is also played by someone I've never seen before. Anyways, considering the writer strike has basically killed new shows, this is a decent little gem amongst all the reality crap.
  4. I guess I'll nix it from my netflix list. I enjoyed the first two as well, but this one really has flown under the radar and I guess there is good reason.
  5. I'm not sure if Rambo is even rental worthy. Maybe as a Rambo marathon. I watched Mr. Brooks - It was very good, better than I thought it would be. Kevin Costner was solid as a serial killer. Dane Cook was a good choice for his particular role, as in it was a satisfying conclusion. I can't remember the last time I watched Demi Moore. The Rocket - A Canadien tribute to Maurice Richard. I wish it was more of a documentary, it was really just a celebration of his talent.
  6. http://www.cherokee.org/Services/Registrat...46/Default.aspx That should do it, if you are primarily Cherokee then you want to pursue stuff through them. Good luck!
  7. I don't know why people take reviews so seriously. They can be a useful source of information, but it's not serious journalism. The scores given are a matter of opinion, not some mathematical formula.
  8. Sweet! It's good to see X-play getting involved and spreading the word to all 7 of their viewers.
  9. Great question. I do believe games are becoming more mainstream everyday. But the game industry itself is going to have to do some of the legwork in order to lose the "ultimate evil" moniker. Continuing to improve and tout the ESRB is a major aspect, as well as educating parents to the best of their ability. Also, educating the public about the different types of games is a huge obstacle. I see simple independant flash games and the likelumped in with the gaming industry as a whole too often. If some guy makes a tasteless murder simulator in his basement, it's not the same as a major studio spending millions developing a murder simulator. The major studio needs to be able to distance itself from those types of products, and that's going to require a bit of self-censorship. Games like "Manhunt" draw a lot of negative publicity, and it cripples the industry as a whole. I'm not saying games like Manhunt shouldn't be made, they aren't any different than a horror flick, but maybe the major studios should hold off on titles like this until they have a better relationship with the media and politicians. Games still need to find a way to attract a wider audience, too. Sure, kids play games and so do a lot of men in their 20's and 30's, but other demographics are not so well represented. Games like Rock Band and the Sims do a great job attracting new people, but those types are few and far between. The Wii might be the most important console to ever come out because of this.
  10. Wow, that's surprising because that alien chick will sleep with anything. I mean, I killed her mom and basically ignored her, and she still was all over me. It taught me a lot about women, actually. My new pick up line is "Hey, I used my big gun on your mom. Wanna see it?"
  11. This story is really taking on a life of its own.
  12. That's awesome news. I don't know if it will come to fruition, but at least EA is taking some action.
  13. What does this have to do with the Fox News story? I agree, the guy apologized and that's great, but the story is still hitting major news stations despite huge inaccuracies. I don't care if it's a liberal or a conservative, it's ridiculous that gaming is blamed for so many of societies woes, and it's insulting that they air these stories without a shred of evidence or research.
  14. It's hard to even find manual transmissions in newer cars here in the US. I'm sure they are in sports cars, but I avoid people who drive those things. I learned on a stick, and yeah, it's like riding a bike. Still, learning on an automatic is easier and with the way cars are going, it's probably all you'll need. My wife never learned to drive stick and it's never really been an issue.
  15. It came up negative for any drugs. Most of the initial crazy drug stuff is being refuted. It looks like prescription drugs got him, but they'll do an full autopsy.
  16. I love the Big Bang Theory. It's gotten better with every episode.
  17. Crap...I'm the same as Dark Raven. I never woulda guessed that.
  18. You're a gryphon. You're very powerful without needing to brag about it. Creativity is one of your strong suits. 19. It's a hilarious review, but I'm surprised he even played it. It's clearly not a genre he enjoys, he's stated as much in the past.
  20. Yeah, stay away from those prescription drugs. They'll kill you. Sleeping pills are dangerous. There tends to be bigger issues at hand when someone needs a prescription sleeping pill. These are powerful drugs, whether they are prescribed or not. I hope it raises the awareness that "hey, maybe I shouldn't take death pills and should work on getting my mind in a place where I don't need drugs to relax."
  21. http://gamepolitics.com/2008/01/22/1993/ The Mass Effect attacks continue. What amazes me is that nobody is actually doing any research or checking their sources on this. If they saw the 3 minute clip on youtube there would be no story here. It's ridiculous, and nobody even seems to care that the game is rated MA. The whole story is "it's a sex game created for kids!" I would really like to see Bioware seek legal recourse, this is basically slander, and it happens too often with video games. It's getting more ridiculous every year.
  22. That's pretty shocking. The guy just had a daughter a couple years ago, if I remember correctly. I'm sure some folks will argue, but I think he was an incredible actor and it's a shame he's gone. Like River Phoenix, I have the feeling that his best work was still ahead of him. Too bad the drugs got him. I don't think it will affect Batman at all. The movie is finished. I heard his performance is very creepy, and him being dead will only help that.
  23. Nope, it's a pretty light penalty. The game has actually changed tremendously over the last 3 years. I played it about two years ago for a couple months and was bored after a bit, but this go around has been much different. There are three new starting cities, all sorts of crazy new content, a Magic-like card game that is actually played in-game. It's still more complex than WoW (which is good or bad, depending on what you want), but it's also a bit easier to jump into. I've been really amazed at the depth of the quests and character development.
  24. safety schmafty
  25. Yep, I use a MicroSD in my Sansa Sandisk MP3 player. It's awesome.
