I don't think EA can possibly do worse than Take Two has managed to do over the years. Seriously, that was one badly managed publisher.

I'm getting the impression that this game is already further along in development than the Aliens game. Have we even seen screenshots from the other game? The magazine article means we are getting screenshots of AP

Thank you for pointing that out. The blame is often shoved on the teachers, when they are facing overly large class sizes and students who don't have any clue what respect is. My wife's students don't even look forward to the holiday breaks. Time at home = misery for many of them.

Ok, this game is still at least 6 months away. Let's let the thread hibernate for a bit and revisit closer to the fact. I don't want to get that impatient feeling about it.

I had that same thinking on CoD4, but part of me definitely felt left out when these guys talked about playing it on XBL. Is this game strictly an FPS? I thought there might be a third person view.

I would say private schools are a much bigger concern than home schooling. Those home schoolers are too socially awkward to get any action. Private school teachers do not need to meet the same stringent qualifications that public school educators do. Usually a college degree will suffice. Believe me, I've taught in both and there is a world of difference between the education level of public school teachers and private school teachers. That doesn't mean there aren't good and bad apples on both sides, but there tend to be sizable gaps in knowledge when a teacher hasn't undergone any graduate work on being an educator.

I noticed the spy on the magazine cover has pretty stylish shoes. Are we going to have shoes that boost stats? I'm actually pretty interested to see how equipment bonuses will be broken down. Will it be specific numbers or more general like heavy body armor and light body armor.

If the crew picks up the 360 version, I'll probably do so as well. Otherwise it's not all that interesting to me.

Puzzle Quest is one of the better games I've ever played, and it looks great on the DS. If you like old school RPG's and puzzle games, then it's an absolute gold mine. I agree on Advance Warsand Phoenix Wright, both excellent titles that make you forget your playing a handheld.

Xard, where did you find that? That's pretty sick. I definitely feel bad for the family and friends. I just don't see why half the article focuses on Naruto and how dangerous TV can be for kids. Bad things will continue to happen with or without TV.

Wow, 10 is pretty old to not know that you can't breath in sand. There has to be more to this story. That's a 4th or 5th grader. Also, burying people in the sand isn't something new. Kids have always done that, they just are usually smart enough to not bury their face in it.

Why is SLI not in question? I'd assume, down the road, going with a second video card would be a wonderful way to get more life out of the system.

I'm confused, is that too slow or too fast? The first 10 levels fly by, like most MMO's. With WoW it always slowed down for me at around 15, although compared to other MMO's it's pretty fast all the way up.

Really? They are pretty much choking right now. I don't see them as the same team they were last year. They are the third best in their division.

Looks good Gaz, and the price is decent. The video card is solid, but it will be the thing holding you back in the setup. You still might want to think about upgrading it to a GTX.

Fliiping through my Games for Windows, I found that Vigor and Maingear were pretty highly rated at 7/10. Granted, these were dream machines, and you are building a more middle of the pack PC, but the reviews talk a lot about how the company builds. Cyberpower got the worst review of the bunch, 4/10. Commodore and the HP Blackbird scored decent as well 7/10. Falcon-Northwest took the prize, but they don't offer much in terms of a cheaper version. Vedit: elocity got a 5/10 in the reviews. AVA wasn't listed

I don't think I've ever heard of Vigor. HP's Blackbird has been getting good reviews in all the PC magazines. It was developed in conjunction with Voodoo. Falcon-Northwest is also probably the best high end boutique, although you need some serious cash for those babies. When I bought mine, I wanted a year with no interest or finance charges, since I didn't have the money on hand. Both Alienware and Dell offered great deals there (it's actually the same finance company.)

Huh, I had a thread on this when it started, but it's gone. I also seem to only be able to go back a few pages in the forum. Odd, maybe they are trashing old topics earlier. I think the show could go either way. I'd love to see more forward flashbacks to the post-apocalyptic future. I'm a bit turned off by all the time travel though.
