  1. GTA4 has special coop missions. I'm not sure how many, but it sounds promising.
  2. For a junior hockey team, your Oilers did pretty well earlier Kor. Good series. I read up on GTA4's multiplayer, and it sounds awesome. The cops vs. robbers scenario sounds great, basically two teams chasing eachother. We can probably get some pretty epic matches going if everyone gets it in our forum group.
  3. It's a proper noun because the name of the deity is God or Allah. Other deities have specific names associated with them, such as Odin or Zeus. You capitalize them when you refer to them by that name. I guess you could argue that it's arrogant for religion to use the word god as the name of their deity, given its definition, but that's just what they chose. If someone created a religion and named their deity Mr.Kickbutt, we would still capitalize it, because that is the name given.
  4. Does everone understand that it's grammatically correct to spell the singular, monotheistic God with an uppercase G? Lowwercase is reserved when talking about the many different gods. It's not really a religious issue, it's about good grammar. Just because you don't believe J.E. Sawyer exists, doesn't mean you start spelling his name j.e. sawyer. That's just silly. (By the way, J.E. Sawyer is just one of Hades alts.)
  5. Both of these people are lame. Both are blinded by their fanaticism.
  6. I'm so pissed at the Sharks right now. It's like they weren't even skating for the last two periods. This is the point where they curled up and died the last two seasons. I guess we'll see what happens.
  7. Battlefield 2 is the best sniper experience I've ever had in a game. The maps are big enough where you can actually put yourself far enough away to not be easily seen, and the shots are strong enough to get a kill from a couple hundred yards out.
  8. I've totally fallen out of shape since my daughter was born a year ago. I stopped climbing and I've only run a couple times. I still play hockey once a week, which is probably the only thing keeping me from going completely to hell.
  9. I probably put more hours into Crackdown than any other 360 game so far. I imagine GTA4 will replace that need, but I'm not sure if that even has coop.
  10. I really don't get how the deal with Microsoft worked. I mean, they changed their name after 27 years and they ran an 8 page Microsoft ad in the back of every issue. It certainly seemed like they had sold out to stay alive, so it's puzzling that they didn't even make it a year. You would think it would be in Microsoft's best interest to keep the magazine alive. I don't blame them for selling out to Microsoft, I'm just shocked that it didn't seem to have much affect.
  11. I just picked up the new Final Fantasy game for the DS, Revenant Wings. It's amazing what they manage to do on this little handheld. So far so good, but I've only played about 20 minutes.
  12. I think the GTA series makes enough money for them to try.
  13. The Caps game was phenomenal. How do you spell that word? That Mike Green character is pretty awesome. Ovechkin seemed to be playing a different game when he scored the gamewinner. He made two players look feeble.
  14. Krook is just upset that Avery stole his girlfriend, Elisha Cuthbert. I don't blame him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elisha_Cuthbert Avery has actually really developed into an excellent player over the years. He used to take a lot of dumb penalties in LA, but his last season there he started to figure out how to be pesky and not hurt his team at the same time. I knew he was a great pickup for the Rangers.
  15. I also enjoy how you can tell how old a person is based on the games they put in their list. For example, thepixiesrock is clearly about 6 years old.
  16. I can't believe someone just called the Adam miller mods crappy. That is insane. INSANE.
  17. Pittsburgh made Ottawa look pretty bad. The Sens never really threatened at all. Ryan Whitney destroyed Wade Redden in a late fight, too.
  18. http://blogs.pcworld.com/gameon/archives/006770.html I've been reading Computer Gaming World fairly regularly for the last 20 years. I was pretty depressed to hear it's not officially dead. I knew it was close, but I kinda thought the switch to an official Microsoft type magazine might have secured enough funding to keep it going. I guess not
  19. 1. The Black Cauldron - This was the first game to really capture my imagination. I was young, and it was one of the earliest adventure games to be completely mouse based. 2. Quest for Glory 1 (VGA version) - Probably my first experience with an RPG type system. I played through the entire series eventually with the same character (I might have the disk lying around somewhere.) 3. Monkey Island 1 - The first game I ever played with a sound card. Guybrush Threepwood is my hero. 4. Xcom 1 - I am still waiting for someone to recapture the magic that was in this game. 5. Jagged Alliance 2 - I load this game up almost every year to play through it. I don't do that with anything else. 6. KotOR - The first game I played from start to finish in a number of years. 7. WoW - I took the day off work to get this baby. It was awesome until I hit the grinding levels. 8. Asherons Call 1 - My first MMO, I really didn't even know much about leveling. I just had a good time exploring and never worried about stuff like grinding. 9. NWN 1 - More for the community than the campaign. It was the first time I really tried to learn about D&D rules and stuff. 10. Shadowrun - The Super Nintendo version. I just loved that universe, I'd like to see good games set in it, not cruddy shooters.
  20. I used to get a lot of errors on the old TSN site, so hopefully this will be better in that regard. Still, I prefered the simpler look.
  21. I'd call it a lackluster first half. The guy had like 19 goals in the last 30 games.
  22. I just hit level 36 with my captain in LotR Online. I'm extremely happy with the amount of content Turbine has been adding in the year since release, and now they've announced an expansion will hit in the fall. The graphics also look stunning with DirectX 10.
  23. Revolver - It was a bit off for me. I like Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie, but the whole mental stuff has been done better in other movies. It was like a weak version of Fight Club.
  24. This is going to be a good playoff year: Montreal versus Boston - I'm happy the B's made the playoffs, and I think they'll steal 2 wins, but the Habs will still win in 6. Pittsburgh versus Ottawa - Pens in 6. The Sens have experience, but I can't see them getting out of their current funk. Washington versus Philly - Caps in 7. This will be entertaining, both of these teams have major holes, but they seem to find ways to win. New Jersey versus New York - Devils in 5. Brodeur has done this before. Detroit versus Nashvile - Detroit in 4. But hey, I never expected Nashville to make the playoffs, so who knows? San Jose versus Calgary - San Jose in 5. I don't like the match up. There is a lot of history there. But my home team better win. Minnesota versus Colorado - Minnesota in 7. This is like the Caps/Flyers match up. Holes on both teams, but entertaining for sure. Anaheim versus Dallas - Ducks in 6. The Stars haven't looked great lately. Unless Richards finds a way to ignite their offense, they are toast.
  25. I think it's great to use the Olympics to raise awareness about human rights issues in China. I think it's ridiculous to attack people carrying the torch and threaten to boycott an event that athletes around the world train hard for. There is a difference between trying to get China to change their policies and backing them into a corner. You can't force them to change.
