I'll be in the Mesa Verde area from July 6th-10th tentatively. I'm not sure what Highway that is around. Basically I printed out the Trail of the Ancients Byway, which goes through a bunch of American Indian places of interest, and we are going to use it to explore. It should be awesome. I think I'm going to choose one place to park the RV and rent a car for a few days, since most of the neat areas seem to be relatively close together. I'm still ironing out the details. How close are you to that area? We could do an Obsidian BBQ! Ariste, I avoid Vegas at all costs

I'm playing through Arcanum now. The storytelling is refreshing, and the variety of quests and ways to solve them is very nice. But the companions are pretty lifeless and their back stories don't compare to BG2. But no Fallout game has been remarkable when it came to companions. Still, the complex quest lines set it apart from most games.

I've routed my 18-day summer RV trip. We are going to start in California, and then move through Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, then back home. We are stopping in Flagstaff, Mesa Verde, Salt Lake City, and Virginia City.

I got the impression that the Rivet City folks were just trying to stay hidden away from all the hostiles. That can probably be used to explain a lot of the lack of progress in building, people do not want to attract attention.

I used to think that the folks with lower hp's get pets, but I just fought two people with more HP's AND big bears that wiped the floor with me.

Man, I'm a fan of Fallout 3, but that is a pretty disappointing list. The Dogmeat one is ok I suppose, if you go through a lot of dogs. Hopefully Obsidian will implement some creative ones.

I've been logging a lot of time on Arcanum, I'm already further than I ever made it in previous games. I just solved a murder case in Caladon, and now I think I'm going to head to visit the Dark Elves after finding some cursed book. I also had some issues with the firearms master. Nutcase killed himself! At least I got his fancy rifle.

Reading his biography, it really is an amazing portfolio of work. He seemed like a really positive guy. It's also nice to see a big guy like this manage to live a full life. We've lost a lot of actors over the years to obesity and other issues way too early.

I let them re-take Drassen and then I go back in nice and stealthy. That counter-attack is crazy. Might be time to start a new game, after I finish Arcanum...

Per the IGN article: That sounds over the top to me, especially since it is probably repeated ad nauseum throughout the game.

That is some pretty epic stuff! We just haven't had anything like this since Lemieux and Gretzky were both playing, but in some ways it's almost better because they are both in their prime at the same time. Ovechkin has an insane shot.

Plus we have to cover the costs of exorbitant lawsuits somewhere along the way.

I find that Ryan Reynolds makes a lot of movies watch-able. Waiting and Van wilder are the two that come to mind, and I thought he was the only good part of Blade 3. Well, the girl was hot.

This is really going to upset the "Bioware in name only!" crowd.

I read up on the lady this game is based on, and it amazes me how terribly immature so many development studios are. Did the brainstorm go like this? "Hey, here's a story about a war hero who went behind enemy lines and organized resistance movements. Tragically she was captured and executed, but not before spending time in a concentration camp and being tortured." "Great, let's make an action game where she goes sneaking around killing Nazi's, and let's make special killing moves like Mortal Kombat!" Way to pay tribute, wankers.

I don't really know anything about Deadpool as a comic book character,a nd I really enjoy Ryan Reynolds as an actor. Is this movie worth seeing under those circumstances?

You must have him confused with someone else. Kaftan is a smart guy, he knows that this gaming hobby of his relies on sales in order to move forward. I seriously doubt an upstanding guy like Kaftan would ever resort to common theft just to play a game.

I don't remember Arcanum being so time intensive the last time I played. I don't think I went with the most balanced character model, I went all out tech. I'm a good shot but super weak. I'm also trying to decide if I should change companions. Virgil is ok but the dwarf is pretty quiet considering I'm in a dwarven mine and the Ogre hasn't said anything all game. Working through the place under the Wheel Clan's home.

At 3AM, I'm never half asleep.

Our power was out for a few hours. It was pretty lame, but I got a good nap.

It's not on TV for me at all. I think a few of my Sharks are there now, much earlier than anticipated.
