Take a beginning Ice Hockey class together. Take a beginning rock climbing lesson together.- Show and tell
Gosh, I can list dozens of topics from early Japan. What are you looking for, like a discussion topic? Does it need to be modern? You could discuss an early Japanese people like the Ainu, Jomn, or Yayoi. You could talk about Prince Shotoku's work in bringing over ideas from the Asian mainland. You could discuss Tokogawa's isolating Japan and how that influenced Japanese culture in the long run. You can talk about the differences between Bushido in the Middle Ages and World War 2. You can discuss the socio-economic influences of Seppuku in Japan.- Movies you have seen recently
?Que? I suppose if the movie sticks to the basics, like What is your name and where is the bathroom, I'll be ok.- Total war series
I would just stick to TW:M2. It's a pretty massive game, I don't think you are going to need anything else to fill the time.- CIA torture directives
If the CIA really was supplying intelligence on WMD's in Iraq just to start a war, you'd think they'd be crafty enough to actually plant WMD's in Iraq, so the war seemed justified. I'm just saying, I think you give them too much credit.- CIA torture directives
Burn Notice is an awesome show!- CIA torture directives
Sort of on topic, but I just had a student say in class to another student about his being Jewish that "my family lost their religion after the war." I take it that refers to them practicing judaism. Interesting.- NHL
Back when they won the cup and had Forsberg and Sakic at their prime, yes.- Movies you have seen recently
Hmm, looks like [REC] isn't available in the states. I don't mind a remake if the original is in a different language. As long as it is done decently.- CIA torture directives
BREAKING NEWS! OBAMA EMPLOYS NUREMBERG DEFENSE! I believe that they need to move forward and not try and go on a witch hunt over what was done in the past. The line is being established that torture will not be tolerated in the future, and that should be enough. Throwing agents under the bus for something that was clearly in a legal grey area is terrible.- NHL
I'd take Drury any day of the week. He's not a prolific scorer, but he always seemed to score the big goal with Colorado and Buffalo. But he isn't a guy to build a team around, he is a solid second line guy. Gomez is a decent playmaker, but I'd also probably consider him more of a second line guy. At least they are both strong defensively. So I agree with Volourn, the Rangers have really made some odd personnel decisions.- Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
Well, I think there was a pretty gigantic difference between Oblivion and Fallout 3. If you hated F3, you will most likely not like Obsidian's version. If you were lukewarm to it, then it might have a shot. Personally I loved Fallout 3 and I am stoked to play this Obsidian title. But I also thought Oblivion was a fun open-world RPG.- NHL
Boyle is an absolute beast. I hope the other Sharks start to play like him. The Ducks second goal was an absolute terrible read by Vlasic, one of the worst I've seen this season. Lot of game left to play, I'm stressed out.- Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
they have 12-step programs for this, you know... taks I actually hate going to both of them, but Reno is close enough that every college function or bachelor party always ends up there. I've been to Vegas twice, both with family, so I've never really had a blast. Seems expensive.- Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
As a person who has been to Vegas and Reno many times, I can vouch for the fact that they are really tremendously different places in pretty much every aspect.- Mildly addictive online game
What happened to your other cit builder game? I told you to build an Ice Rink! Get on it!- CIA torture directives
No, it's just that your metaphor doesn't make sense. Maybe you should try another one. But there isn't really a sensible metaphor to explain torture is there? No, it's just that you didn't understand the metaphor. The point was that terrorists don't need to be treated as human beings, not that dogs should be tortured. Terrorists are in fact much worse than rabid dogs, since dogs aren't responsible for their own actions, as they aren't sentient. You are the one who is missing the point, because you are looking at this stuff as a black and white scenario. You see these terrorists as pure evil and the CIA as pure angels. There is no such thing. These people weren't born with horns and a dynamite jacket. They were led down a terrible path. Our goal should be eliminating that path so others don't follow, torture doesn't achieve that in any way.- Total war series
I would take Medieval 2 over 1, as the graphics are seriously enhanced. But I never played the original, so I can't comment on anything left out. MTW2 is awesome though, I like it better than Empire.- Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
This thread moves too quickly and has too many different discussions in it.- Games of the future
Does Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13 count? Of course it does, it is the best mod for the best strategy game ever. Well, Xcom wasn't too shabby either.- CIA torture directives
Promoting terrorists rights? Do you work at Fox News? You've really convinced yourself that terrorists (and in some cases, suspected terrorists) aren't human beings, haven't you? - What are some fun and adventurous things to do
