  1. I have a free-trail for that I've never used, maybe I should break it out for a week or two, however long it lasts, and run with you for a bit. That'd be cool, it really is a game that almost requires a group. It'd be like playing pen and paper D&D with a DM and one player. There is solo content, but you can definitely see where a different class here and there could make it a better experience. I'm on the Argonessen server, right now my main character is a level 2 cleric named Lastly.
  2. Didn't Godfather 2 just come out? Aren't they terribly similar?
  3. I decided to check out Dungeons and dRagons Online for a spell. I was a bit put off at first, but it grew on me, so I figured I'd give it a full month.
  4. It's pretty easy to read and respond to twitters over cell phones, so I think that's the appeal.
  5. The best thing my parents ever did was to limit my video game time to weekends only, so I understand what ramza is saying. But I'm sure taks son is getting plenty of outdoor activity time as well.
  6. Yeah, I got nothing for hitting rank 7, and it is getting harder and harder to win fights.
  7. I believe that is only on the 360.
  8. We both probably have a strong dislike for Chris Pronger as well.
  9. Huh, I've never smoked in my life, and I'm extremely agitated by anyone who smokes near me. My wife is the same way.
  10. Yes, rape and murder deserve considerable jail time. This is basically a white collar crime.
  11. Their crime was a financially based one. The jail time is rather short, but the fine makes total sense. I'd say it's a pretty fair verdict, to be honest. Hopefully it stands up.
  12. Yep, these are video games. They aren't something anyone is entitled to. I'm not a fan of some of the DRM measures, and I'd sign a petition to eliminate the more intrusive ones, but piracy is for the morally bankrupt. I know this because when I was younger, I did my share of pirating. I look back on that time with a ton of regret. Not only was I selfishly damaging the industry that I wanted to thrive, but I was trading short term enjoyment at the cost of my long term happiness. It was stupid.

The Ducks have a few guys that are absolute snipers. I was really underwhelmed by the Sharks shooting, every shot was low and very few had much power behind them. A few young guys seemed to be gripping the stick a bit too tightly, I suppose. Boyle rang a nice one off the post.

Ugh, Hiller is playing extremely good. The Sharks also aren't passing crisply enough, especially on the powerplay. Well, hopefully the offense will show up in the second game.
  15. But I'm not sure if that group itself is that large. They are a vocal minority, sure, and they wield the power of the internets. But I have a pretty good feeling that 90% of customers don't care about limited installs and all that. They just want the game to work when it is put in the PC.
  16. That's pretty tame compared to mystery series. Miss Marple, 12 books. Hercule Poirot, 33 novels and 51 short stories. The

I remember when St. Louis won the President's trophy and the Sharks knocked them out in the first round. A Blues defenseman actually threw the puck in his own net at one point. I was scared to death that the Blues would finish 8th and return the favor to San Jose this year. Thankfully they are only playing the team that won the Cup a couple years ago. Oddly enough, Pronger has played against San Jose quite a bit in the playoffs in all three jerseys he has worn in the NHL.
  18. Is there a way to tell if your opponent has a pet? Wolves and bears kick my butt.
  19. That's a shame, since Stardock is one of the few companies that came out against DRM. Just goes to show most folks pirating are simply selfish a-holes who think they are entitled to other people's hard work.
  20. There is another one where these two guys go around the world learning different fighting styles. Then they take on a few locals using that style. It's pretty awesome. Surprisingly I think it's on the travel channel or something.
  21. wut? Pretty much every FPS will eventually give me a headache and nausea. Some just take longer than others. I suppose if I suffered from Parkinsons disease, it could be from my mouse control, but it more likely has to do with my brain and vision.
  22. It's limited to FPS games. Mostly the ones that move really fast, Call of Duty 4 was pretty bad for me. I can stomach them for about an hour and that's it.
  23. This really just smacks of the whole "once something becomes popular, it becomes lame" ideology. I could understand this if there were no longer any great modding teams out there and it was just all hacks, but that's not true. JA2 v. 1.13 is the ultimate example.
  24. I get motion sickness from some games, but surprisingly Portal was not one of them. Of course, It was relatively short, so it could just be the lack of exposure.

Ok, predictions time! Western: San Jose vs. Anaheim - San Jose in 6. It will be physical, but San Jose has too much offense to let it slip too badly Detroit vs. Columbus - Detroit in 5. I want to root for the Blue Jackets, I'm excited they made it for their first time, but this match up sucks for them. Mr. Lidstrom will be introduced to Mr. Nash and the series will be sad for Columbus. Vancouver vs. St. Louis - Blues in 7. When was the last time Vancouver won a round? The Blues are hot. Loungo will make it close, but I don't see them winning. Calgary vs. Chicago - Calgary in 6. This is risky, Chicago is the favorite. But I think the Blackhawks are too young and inexperienced, and the Flames looked terrible leading up to last year and still challenged San Jose to a game 7. Eastern: Boston vs. Montreal - Boston in 5. Reversal of last year, but I think Boston is deep and they have an experienced goalie who should make quick work of the flailing Canadiens. Washington vs. Rangers - Caps in 7. Should be a very entertaining series. Rangers are hot right now, but the Caps have some great talent and they all learned a ton about the playoffs last year. New Jersey vs. Carolina - NJ in 5. Carolina made the playoffs? Well, lightning could strike twice, I suppose. Still, Brodeur will probably seal it up. I really haven't heard anything about the Hurricanes this year. Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia - Philly in 5. I haven't hear much on the Flyers this year, but I have heard a lot about the Pens problems and I think they will be magnified in the playoffs. Philly looked awesome last year, so a repeat performance is likely.
