And I'm not sure where his being Jewish, Polish, Russian or French fits in with the unrelated issue of whether a WWII German soldier can be a hero or not. Oh wait, it doesn't fit anywhere. Not to mention the fact that kotorsomethingorother didn't experience the war himself, so he's about as qualified to make value judgements as you or me. His perspective isn't any more "real and human" than any Wikipedia article, but unlike wiki articles, his perspective has no citations attached. By the way, you may have all the college degrees in the world, but you are still failing basic reading comprehension. Lare didn't ask which ethnic or religious group anyone belongs to, which is what I was referring to. He added the Jewish part as a disclaimer, so we would understand where his opinion was coming from. You jumped on him for it. Congratulations on that.

I have to think you don't know much about WW2 history. Yes, you must be right. Other than the degree in history and the few classes on World War 2 I took in college, I have little knowledge on the subject. Please enlighten us all on your vast knowledge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_war_crimes Notice the references to Wehrmacht, or follow specific links. Wonderful. And here is a link to the Allied war crimes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allied_war_cr...ng_World_War_II I'm really not getting your point here.

ROFLASDASFASDKHJ And I'm a scientologist. Who asked you and, more pertinently, who the **** cares? In all seriousness though, I suppose we're required to take a Palestinian's opinion at face value on whether an IDF member can be a hero as well, then, if your opinion as a Jew is somehow especially relevant. I'm not sure where you are going with this vitriol. First off, the scientology comment makes no sense. He's not just spouting off about his religion, he is part of an ethnic group that was targeted by Nazi's. And as for who asked, it was Lare, he quite specifically asked if a Nazi soldier can be a war hero. I want teh kotor 3 also qualified his answer by explaining his family connection to the holocaust and why his opinion is not only relevant, but emotionally charged. I appreciate his perspective, it is entirely real and human, rather than just a simple regurgitation of a wikipedia article from an uninvolved forum poster.

Not really, they both fought for the nazis, the SS was just a bit more enthusiastic. Not really, the vast majority of soldiers in the Wehrmacht were fighting for their country, not a political party. Honestly most historians target the SS as the main perpetrators of war crimes, so I'm not sure where you are going to go with this argument.

I was on my way to the theater to see it, but then I realized I wasn't a teenage girl. And the Underworld series is great, all three movies (or is it 4?) They are right there with the Resident Evil flicks.

CCP has certainly shown how a small developer can be successful in the MMO market.

She's got good stage presence.

I think you do have a separation between the Wehrmacht and the SS in WW2, and in the way people look back on them.

Harper's Ferry is one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. They've done a great job of preserving the history of the place. Gettysburg was less exciting for me, it's basically just a big field with a few rocky outcroppings.

I agree with this. It does seem to be at least a couple years down the road, maybe even longer. I'll pay attention when they start releasing screens, for now it's just all speculation.

Where is Calax going to school?

I didn't think DA overdid the lore at all. I can see that argument with ME, maybe.

Anyone know about the Intel Atom processor? One of the PC's just needs to run Office, so I'm looking at an inexpensive setup. The ad I'm looking at has it at $220 for Atom processor 230.

Uh...I'm not entirely sure what you mean by your question, but I'll try. I am fairly certain the American Civil War is not a huge part of curriculum outside of the US, but it is a fairly critical event in history. It was the final blow to the institution of slavery, which was not simply an American issue, but something all European nations were involved with during the Age of Imperialism. Much like World War I, it was a brutal war that had a high cost of life. The military maneuvers became the basis for modern strategy at the time as well.

I thought about nominating myself, but I decided not being nominated just meant I don't have some eccentricity that makes all these others stand out. I can live with that

I didn't even have subtitles on for my play through of DA. There was a time or two when a slow speaking NPC bothered me, but the overall high quality made it a very pleasant experience to listen to.

I need to build or buy two new PC's for my mother-in-law's business. She needs them to be able to run quickbooks and typical office software, and they need to be easy to network together so they can share files, printers, and an internet connection. I'm pretty comfortable with the hardware aspects, but I'm not too sure what OS to get. Should I go Vista or 7? I'm familiar with Vista, I have it on my own PC. But I've heard good things about 7. My biggest concern is the networking of the two, I want an easy to setup network. We also used to have a server running Windows 2000, but I'm under the impression that a server is pointless for such a small network. Is that true? The old PC's ran XP and it was not easy configuring the network. I'm also questioning whether I should build them or not. I can get a pretty decent desktop with W7 already installed at Fry's for $400, I'm not sure it would be much cheaper to buy the components separately. I guess I can probably knock a hundred bucks off that, but I'm not sure if that is worth my time and potential problems I might create for myself putting it together.

I'm not sure why CoD:MW is such a powerhouse compared to the BF series. Not that the BF series is weak, but it doesn't have anywhere near the press as CoD. Maybe it is just advertising? It's also probably a case of getting there first, as the Bad Company games have been coming out just a little after the Modern Warfare games twice now.

He hasn't been around much because I believe he went of to college. That reminds me, Pop should be on the list too.

What's the big deal? The face cream makes me look younger, just like the Tears of Children Shampoo helps me prevent male pattern baldness.

... Yeah but the demonified dragon is supposed to be the most powerful being in the DAverse, whereas DnD had multiverses, with far more powerful things than a corrupted dragon. MC: Sure, an after end 'fight the invading orlezians or something' would be a nice idea, but duh, you already killed the worst the setting can throw at you, so they either throw in huge numbers, slightly less huge numbers of level 30 peasants or a single human with unreal stats. You killed the dragon with

The sad thing is the minority vote has been overwhelmingly against gay marriage. You would think that given the civil rights battle was less than 50 years ago, there would be more support from black communities for gay rights. -
Looks fantastic, I'll have to keep an eye on the English release date.

University of Florida and Florida State U. are the same cost? In CA we have a UC system, more expensive but higher profile schools, and a CSU system that is less expensive but often features specific quality programs.
