RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I'm a bit surprised that such an established studio is having so much difficulty balancing their budget. It does make me worry for Obsidian.

It makes sense that they should be trained to deal with dogs.

Movies You've Seen Recently
The Numbers Station - John Cusack looking tired as a CIA Black Ops guy protecting a girl who sends codes to agents. It was a decent action flick, not very long. There were some fairly nonsensical parts, but I enjoyed how they retraced the story of the team before them.

Best Police in the World
And it's a wonder some people dislike the police. But I'm sure a video of a 'good' cop giving a homeless guy a shoe or some kid candy will show up. Actually shooting the pit bull was justified. Pit bulls don't mess around, that cop was a second away from getting bit and he got off a perfect shot. The humane thing to do would have been to administer a kill shot at that point. Also they were there to help the homeless guy having a seizure. It's something city cops deal with on a regular basis. The second clip is terrible.

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
I don't know why I have so much trouble getting the numbers game in TOR. I have it down pat in LOTRO.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Well if they marketed it as an online game, like Blizzard did with Diablo 3, then I'm not all that shocked by it. We all know when we buy an MMO that eventually it may not be playable. But I don't remember much about Darkspore, so it's hard for me to judge. You would think EA could spare a programmer to fix the gamebreaking bug though, it isn't that old of a game. Apparently you can get some sort of refund from EA customer support.

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
I feel bad for switching, because I did play with Raithe a few times back when it was released, but the game runs much smoother for me on the west coast servers.

Historical mythbuster
It would be easier to have a historical discussion about Anglicization if you sighted the sources of the inaccurate pictures. They look like something out of a textbook from the 50's.

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
I re-upped for a month, got the itch to play. It was great that I was able to transfer one of my high level characters from the east coast over to my main server on the west coast. He's a trooper, so I think I'll play him. Now to figure out what all these buttons do.

What you did today
I bought a new car today! Well, it's a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid, but it's new to me. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I loved it, but it wasn't a very good commuter car and we recently bought a family car that fits all our peeps and stuff. So I traded my jeep for a hybrid. It's pretty high tech actually, works really well with my phone and has a microsoft label right on the dash. I haven't had any blue screens of death yet, so that's nice.

Prism Program ( Big Brother gone too far?)
If the IRS targeted liberals, they'd just end up auditing collections of birkenstocks and cars that run on vegetable oil.

Defense of Marriage Act ruled Unconstitutional
I refuse to get married because I think it's a stupid idea. All the gay folks getting married: welcome to hell. I've been married for 10 years, and every day has been better than the last.

Can you find a link to a more reliable number? If none exist, what do you feel is closer to a true percentage? I already explained in a previous post that it will likely take generations before you have people comfortably identifying themselves as LGBT. I think the only safe bet is that number will rise.

I was just pointing out that the number is misleading.

Taken from the same page: I find it odd how many different categories they make up for homosexuality. You first link points to "heteroflexibility" which sounds like bisexuality to me but somehow isn't since they are "mostly straight". The second points to homosexuality, which is what I referenced in my post. I guess if your not in a sub sub sub group, you aint nothing. Uh, you are the one that linked to the wikipedia page. I simply took the next sentence in the paragraph, since your first quote was misleading.

I'm sure you've met more than a few, but most of the ones I know are very private and not at all flamboyant like you see in the movies. Also, the older generations tend to avoid all forms of public affection, as they grew up in times where that behavior could get you a lot of negative attention. It's actually a bit odd, I have had three principals that were gay and only one of them actually ever discussed their partner in a social setting. Now I live in a very tolerant area, but all three of them came from different areas of the country. I talk about my wife all the time, so I really can't imagine that. I think they just tend to avoid creating situations where someone might get offended. I see this changing within a couple generations, and I consider that a wonderful thing.

Being gay is not a lifestyle choice. I do not choose to be attracted to women, it is effortless (and occasionally problematic).
