I'm making Stromboli tonight. I had some Salami and mozzarella that were close to expiring, so I thought it would be a good use for them. This project seems a bit odd. The Star Trek license is hot right now. The movies are huge blockbusters. If the studios really wanted to launch a new TV show, they would probably just do it. I don't think a low budget pilot is going to win them over.

Aren't console gamers already paying a monthly fee to get playing online at all? Not on the Playstation, but they pay a much smaller fee to play on Xbox Live. That's why I'm curious what the sub price will be, if they keep it at $10 or under, they might attract more people from the console world.

It will take a few months and then it's going free 2 p(l)ay. What makes TES games have so many hardcore fans is the modding support, which you won't get in a online game. So yeah, people will run away from it fast, I am pretty sure. See that is kind of the weird thing. They will have to go f2p eventually, that is a given. Even successful MMO's are doing that, WoW being the only exception. So why are they even starting with a sub model? It seems like bad business. I would think it would be smarter to offer a VIP status for a monthly fee, and then microtransactions for f2p folks. That has been very successful for many different developers. That being said, the mod community is a super small group and will not make a sizable impact. If The Elder Scrolls Online succeeds, it will be because it does well on all the major consoles, just like Oblivion and Skyrim.

Even Pearl Harbour ? That was definitely the director. I am not a Michael Bay hater, he is very good at the summer popcorn flick thing, but that movie needed to have an axe taken to it. In fact I bet if that movie was 90 minutes and not 180, it would probably be a decent watch.

Any other Robin Hobb fans here? I just finished her Dragon, uh, whatever one more than a trilogy is. It was good, but I hope she leaves this universe behind now and returns to the one she made in Soldier's Son. I'm a bit tired of dragons in general, but I still like her spin on it.

Dragon Age Inquisition doesn't come out for another year, so staying strictly on topic would be pretty boring. We were talking about David Gaider and his place as a fantasy writer, so all this fantasy writer talk is plenty relevant.

I enjoyed a few rounds of Chivalry, but the game really needs more than just deathmatch in this day and age. Give me some decent stat tracking, unlockables, or something that every other game has nowadays.

That's the thing, much like with KIlmer and Clooney, it makes me a bit nervous to have these really well established actors taking on Batman. These guys all have a bit of a limited range, they typically find success playing the same charismatic persona in every film. But I'll be hoping for the best out of Affleck. Speaking of Batman, I watched this movie "Clear History" with Larry David the other day, and Michael Keaton showed up in a crazy role. I barely recognized him. He was great.

" Somosas" Most people probably won't know they are. We have a strong Indian community in South Africa so Somosas are very common and delicious. They aren't that good for you as they suppose to be fried in oil but with the various options as ingredients they can be very yummy . My favourite is the potato and cheese I baked them instead of frying, so they were pretty healthy. They came out pretty good, I need to get better at making the dough, but I nailed the filling.

So Ben Affleck is apparently the new Batman... I really like Ben. I have no idea how I feel about this news though. I don't think Bruce Wayne when I see him.

I've determined that I will make baked Somosas tonight. It should be a challenge, wish me luck. I think I have everything except for one or two spices, I'll try to supplement. I wonder if cumin powder instead of seeds will be an issue.
