Nelson Mandela, dead at 95
Ever since Nixon sweated like a stuck pig on national TV in the 1960 debate, I'm pretty sure every President has a team of consultants getting them dressed.

That's not going to work. If you contest the ticket, you sometimes get out of it just by showing up to court, since the officer won't show unless it is serious. If you want to argue the case, you need to have specifics about that ticket, they don't care about your history. Were you tagged with radar or that light gun thing? You were going over the speed limit, so I'm not sure what your case is. I'd recommend paying the fine, take the online class, and moving on with your life. It will take less time and it's an easy process. Contesting it still means you might end up paying more in court fees and still have to deal with the infraction afterwards, if you are found guilty.

The NFL 2013 Thread
I don't mean to upset you Volourn. I understand that on many other websites people talk smack about sports and throw around insults. That's just not the way the majority of posters conduct themselves here. There is more casual observations and polite discourse.

Meanwhile in London: Beheading in broad daylight
You have two statements there: "There is little to nothing wrong with our world" - Nobody is claiming that. "It's better than ever" - It quite clearly is. These statements do not need to be connected.

I wouldn't bother Keyrock, we go through this a lot in the NHL thread.

What's on the idiot box... Part 2
I always enjoyed the Vegas CSI, but Miami looked terrible fromt he start and I never even bothered with New York.

What are you playing now?
I'm really enjoying Assassin's Creed 3. I remember people complaining about there not being enough to do on the frontier, but I'm having a blast running around. Although I fall out of tree a lot. Like I've died more falling out of trees than doing anything else. In fact it's not even close, I've died once from a wolf, twice in fights, and a dozen times tumbling through branches.

Weird News Stories
Junior High's, or Middle Schools, exist in most of the US, but I guess they only have them in certain provinces in Canada. Even in the US there are still many elementary schools that go k-8, but they are typically magnets or offer something unique. What is grade 13?

Are you referring to the death of an icon, or the classy response by Cultist?

The general fitness thread
I've been keeping it simple and just running a mile a day, doing push ups and situps at work, and stretching regularly. I've been doing this about 5 times a week for the last few months and I feel a lot better than I did before I started. It isn't going to change me terribly, but at my age I'm more concerned with not losing ground. I still play hockey once a week and that has been going better since I started running.

Nelson Mandela, dead at 95
Looking back on the 20th century, we had some amazing Civil Rights activists. It will be interesting to see who rises to the occasion in the 21st Century. It will be even more amazing when we no longer need them. So far in the 21st Century the only impressive activist I've seen has been Malala Yousafzai.

So what happens to the pupil in this case, I know they will get a good beating but what else ? This student is fairly new to the country, so I sat him down and explained what his expectations are and how he needs to go about fixing it. I'm also going to contact the parents and set up a conference, since there are other issues involved. In 7th grade it is more about developing good habits than being punitive. They'll get enough of that in High School.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
maps/cars/weapons/skins are all the definition of superficial fluff. It doesn't affect my playthrough of a game in any way to not have those things. The people responsible for this are the consumers, by the way. If no one bought the first horse armor when it came out in Oblivion, we wouldn't have this trend. It is driven completely by consumer demand.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I am wondering if this is still true, though. Because I can't remember when I played a game the last time that required a dlc for more information on the main story or something like this. Some games have pre-order dlc which add to the games content, but this is most of the time just minimal stuff that probably could be ignored easily as well. Like the pretty useless armor pre-order dlcs from New Vegas, etc. Exactly. It is true that expansions are nearly dead, but they've been replaced by full length sequels developed as quickly as possible instead. That's what you see happening with Assassin's Creed and Saint's Row games. Most DLC is fluff, and the low prices reflect that. They are for people who like fluff. Mass Effect is literally the only game that put out relevant story DLC's, everything else can be skipped without missing a thing. Also the Xcom EXPANSION is phenomenal. It takes the base game and completely supercharges it.
