  1. Nope, but not sure what that is meant to prove. It's really just an inquiry.
  2. Does anyone here have any personal experiences where they have been assaulted by police?
  3. I go to Vegas to eat. edit: That came out wrong. I go to Vegas to have amazing dinners at their top rated restaurants.
  4. I'm curious about why you all think they should be held to a higher standard? I agree that they need to be, but I am interested in your rationale.
  5. How does the extra time/fuel you spend compares to paying the toll fee? Actually it is the most fuel efficient way to go for me, but that really depends on where you live. Plus it gives me a chance to see both sides of the bay.
  6. I almost forgot to mention that we were parked next to a family from Germany during our RV trip a few days ago, and they had this huge Steyr motorhome that they had actually shipped to the US. It looked a bit like this: It was amazing. I didn't get to talk to the dad very long, but I wish I had asked him more questions,a s I can't find anything about it online. It must be a special order thing. They were in the middle of a year long expedition, pretty awesome. http://www.fuess-mobile.de/english%20offen/innenausbau_14.htm
  7. Phew, Niners pulled it out in the end. That was stressful. They outplayed Green Bay for long stretches, but they need to find a way to get in the end zone a bit more for next week versus Carolina.
  8. You also need to look at the long term versus short term here. Andrew Luck, coming out of college, was widely regarded as a great QB prospect with a skillset designed for the NFL. The Colts had a chance to get him and possibly set themselves up at QB for another decade, or stick with Manning. Even without the injuries, Peyton Manning is now in his late 30's. He will be 40 in 3 years. In 3 years Andrew Luck will be 27, typically near the prime age of an athlete. Both choices were risky, but it seems pretty clear that they worked out well for both the Colts and Peyton Manning, as they are both in the playoffs.
  9. If I owned, I would jump on getting those yesterday. We get enough sun to cut our bill by a ton. Alas, my landlord isn't going to put money he doesn't have to into this house.
  10. I'd blame the Chief's defense before anything else. Dwayne Bowe had a great game, as did Alex Smith. Those injuries were a killer too, you lose your running backs, you lose the ability to eat up clock easily. Also Andy Reid turned that program around, they were 2-14 last year. I don't have much of an interest in the Eagles/Saints game, but I'm curious to see if this college style playcalling can get the Eagles deep in the playoffs.
  11. I have heard some pretty terrible things about the Colts ownership. However, everyone in the 49ers organization has had nothing but great things to say about Alex Smith. The fact is you can only start one QB, and they had to choose between Kaep or Smith. As is, both guys have benefited from the current situation, so I don't see why you are negative about it. They are winning football games. Kaep is only in his first year, especially as more of a pocket passer. In a few years we will have a better idea on whether it was the right or wrong choice to keep him. I'm not really sure, potentially I see that Kaep has an exciting skillset that can dominate a game, but I also think he hasn't been tested yet and injuries can change things quick. Alex Smith is an extremely smart and tough QB, and I'm rooting for him to get one more score here in the 4th. But even if he doesn't, he's done everything he could to give KC a chance to win.
  12. Do you think the Colts made the right choice when it came to letting Manning go?
  13. Bridges are toll roads, most of them can be avoided by taking longer routes around. I cross over the Golden Gate north a couple times a year, and then use the Richmond Bridge to go back south. That avoids the tolls altogether, since they only charge you one way.
  14. Pretty sure that the Golden gate is the first bridge to try and stop using tollgates, and rely completely on the fastpass system.
  15. Hometown announcers are the best
  16. Right now I'm hanging out in the RV in Marin, getting ready to take the ferry into San Francisco. I think we will be exploring the Presidio today. I bought a new mattress for the bed in the RV, and it made a huge difference in our sleep quality.
  17. Yes, what a **** move, giving away games for free.
  18. Pretty deep into Divine Divinity. I think I avoided it because of the terrible name, but it has been a great surprise. I will be jumping right into the sequel when I finish.
  19. I think you can still play Vanguard, actually. Also I'd call City of Heroes a success, it ran with a good sub base for a number of years.
  20. I've never really understood resolutions. If I want to make a change, I usually just start then, regardless of the calendar. That being said, I hope to keep running regularly in the year to come, and pay down some more debt.
  21. Some people just don't like to be happy. This is a terribly niche game, with or without the M&M name. It will not sell millions, so it's shocking that Ubisoft is publishing it at all. Also, what exactly is the value of the M&M name? It is used for all sorts of crazy things, including a match 3 puzzle game. The fact that we are returning to the game play of World of Xeen is exciting.
  22. I've played the game and it rocks, so what ev. Knocking the old school movement for being old school kind of misses the point of the game. Also I think you'd be surprised by the budget, while it surpasses Legend of Grimrock, it is a small budget game.
  23. I ordered a woman's shooting vest for my wife on some hunting website, since the one I picked up on Amazon didn't fit right. Now I'm probably on some government watchlist
