It is safe to probably assume this will be Steam only. This is a Paradox title that Obsidian is developing, so Obsidian will have no real say in anything in regards to the publishing side. That isn't to say that you can't put some pressure on Paradox to branch out from Steam. Maybe start a petition. I'd sign it, even though I have little issue using Steam.

Interesting. I knew he wasn't going to go with a liberal, that would be a waste of time for everyone. The big question is will Republicans accept that this is a decent moderate choice, or will they try and roll the dice and hope they can win the presidency and nominate a more conservative voice. Seems like a big gamble, but heck if I understand half the stuff they do.

Well, they are calling it an RPG, so I'm sure I will enjoy it. Kind of looks super close to PoE, which confuses me a bit. I love the world of PoE, I hope it isn't a one and done thing.

I could see Kaepernick doing well in the Broncos system. I'm not really a fan of the guy, but given the right playcalling and a decent o-line, he's considerably better than a Sanchez.

You do not need to do PvP or group in The Division. Speaking of which... I had a little time today after feeding the kids, and thought I'd try to knock out a story mission. To help it move along, I joined a group, which is super easy with the groupfinder. We get going, and my daughter comes over and starts talking to me about the show she is watching (Psych). I tell her it isn't a good time, I'm in a firefight, but being an 8 year old girl, I have to tell her a few times in incrementally angrier tones before she gets the message. We continue on, and then my wife comes in and tells me she has to head out, but has left a can of soup on the stove for my son (who I had fed about 10 minutes earlier.) Again, being in a firefight, I exasperate and argue with her about why I can't deal with the pot on the stove. We bicker a bit and she leaves. I then hear someone in the game laugh and say "This is why I'm glad my wife is a gamer." I'm still in a fight, so I don't really have time to ponder this, but in the back of my mind I'm wondering what the heck is happening. Then we all die, except for one guy, and as I'm sitting there dead one of the guys says "Hey Hurlshot, do you know we can hear you?" So I guess The Division automatically turns on your mic when you group. I have a laptop, and I never actually use the mic, but this game conveniently enabled it and broadcast my family antics to the 3 strangers I was grouped with. After a bit of conversation, I figured out how to enable the push button to talk setting.

It varies by state, but in California they teach about the Constitution in 8th grade and then again in high school, typically in your senior year as part of the principals of American Democracy and Economics content standards. This can be called a few different things, depending on the school district. edit: The term social studies, which is actually called social science, refers to a wide range of topics that are covered throughout the k-12 curriculum, including 'civics'

I think that is pretty much standard procedure for these types of games though. It helps that there is no sub, but if you paid for the season pass and have to *gasp* wait for new content, you will get people whining. I would argue that this is an MMO in most aspects though. They could totally justify a subscription, but I think there is a stigma around that on the consoles, so they are trying a season pass model. They are going to figure out some way to get more money to come in, otherwise it doesn't make sense to develop content and maintain servers. I'm guessing it will look a lot like all the f2p MMO's with cosmetics and time saving boosts eventually.

They sure do. It does bring in a tidy sum to help with classroom materials though.

I wouldn't rush hitting the level cap. This is an MMO, you want to pace yourself. Also I'm loving some of the side missions. I think the contamination zones ones are my favorite. They are spooky.

I am also level 7 and would be happy to group if we can find each other. I think my name is Hurlshot. I have no idea how to use the social tools, so that will be an adventure.

I get the impression the movie will have none of that, it is just Cap sticking up for Bucky.

Hmm, it might be more of a mental thing, but I think when I use my silenced SMG to ambush baddies they react slower. Probably just my imagination. I would think it might help if playing in a group as well, since you should conceivably draw less fire than your partners with a silencer.

Why would they be downgraded? I read that the game was developed for the PC separately.

I don't even notice uplay, really. It took me a minute to recall my login information, when I ran the game the first time, but now it never even shows up when I start the game off steam. It just runs in the background.
