  1. I'd imagine they will settle for a year and a load of cash. The IRS just wants its money. Can he bring in any income at this point in his career though?
  2. This guy is in a pretty tough situation.
  3. They have the butt pad, but it is much thinner than the traditional cycling shorts. My first two races are 10 and 15 miles, so that shouldn't be a problem. The 40k for an Olympic makes me a bit nervous. This weekend I'll simulate a run-bike-run and see how it goes. I'm also planning on doing the Santa Cruz Triathlon, and I'm pretty sure the sand will make me miserable. My bike butt pads feel like a diaper.
  4. My county didn't make the New Cali cut. Whoops, read it wrong. I made the cut!
  5. The store I went to had two options. The muscle shirt option was $60 and the short sleeve one was $120. I'm a cheapskate.
  6. Bought a tri-suit. My daughter said it looked repulsive. Parenting win. Honestly I just need to tan my shoulders. They are snow white compared to my arms and it looks weird. Good ole farmer's tan.
  7. The show is better than the books anyways. Honestly it is best not to take this stuff too seriously. It's fun fantasy, but it became pretty clear to me early on that GRR was never going to be able to wrap up all these narratives cleanly.
  8. Given that so many people can't distinguish between reply and reply all, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.
  9. Is rampant a statisticle term? California is a blue state because the Republican party has basically abandoned it. It doesn't require any boogie men or ghost voted to make it so.
  10. Well, illegals don't actually vote, so there is a bit more to it than that. Oddly enough, my wife's family is split up between the US and Mexico. The ones here are super conservative and vote Republican, while the ones in Mexico are super liberal. Kind of strange how split they are. I would say the Republican party as a whole needs to do a better job of appealing to Mexican-Americans.
  11. Giants seemed to have picked up McCutchen from the Pirates. This is a huge deal, he is way better than anyone else in the outfield right now.
  12. Soundtrack of my youth.
  13. Of course, he wouldn't need to be in Mexico in the version Sharpie mentioned. It's not a matter of political correctness, it is simply a more timely joke as currently constructed given the border situation. I'm surprised they didn't work ICE into the response team. The Rangers does seem an odd target. It's kind of like how all the jokes about Polish people were turned into blonde jokes during the 80's and 90's.
  14. Not quite. I average about an hour to get home on a Friday. On a bad day it might take 90 minutes. Still, it is a lot more fun pushing myself on the bike than sitting in traffic.
  15. Today I biked home from work. It was 32 miles and took me a bit under 2 hours. Nice way to beat the terrible holiday weekend commute.
  16. I started a game of Fallout 2, got a bit into it and his F5 to save. Turns out that is the load button. So I lost about an hour of play. Ah well, I didn't love my character build anyways.
  17. Legend of Grimrock is a solid successor to the Wizardry and M&M style game. Also did you play M&M X? Darkest Dungeon is pretty great too. I will second Dragon's Dogma as well.
  18. I actually really enjoyed the most recent Ghost Recon.
  19. Got into Ozarks on Netflix. Has a lot in common with Breaking Bad, of course, but that isn't a bad thing. Jason Bateman is good in it.
  20. KotOR took me completely by surprise with the big reveal.
  21. I suppose the big question is whether it is better to falsely imprison someone, or let a guilty party roam free.
  22. I'd say a list of games that failed to meet their potential would be good. Obsidian would have a few on the list.
