Aumaua. They're really cartoony though and my least favorite because they stick out the most. This is bugging me, too. I was planning on playing a Vailian, who according to my understanding look like this: Gimme some black portraits, Obsidian. I want to be a Vailian swashbuckler-type character. Man I wish I could give my character hair like that.

I guess I'm alone in not liking the descriptive writing. I prefer mainly dialogue, like in BG. Aside from that, combat will take getting used to but I think I will like it. The main problem right now is starting out with a ton of spells and not knowing anything about them.

I sure hope there will be more because right now they're kind of lacking in racial diversity... I think some are bad and some are great. My favorites are the moon godlikes and the dude nature godlike.

I didn't think I'd need to know how to use this for the beta but there are like... so few portraits. And they're not very representative of the different peoples of Eora. I'm glad I've got mine ready to go!

Probably at least 3 hours away. I don't think they coordinated the beta release to your personal sleeping schedule. Maybe OE can work that out next time. wow you've let me down OE. I don't know if I have it in my heart to forgive you this grave mistake.

Um well typically I have two names I use for every RPG- Ailyn or Evany. But since PoE isn't generic fantasy and there is thought put into each different culture, I'm going to find something that fits with the lore. So far I've only come up with a name for a Vailian character- Cosima.

I don't care for any of the aumaua portraits we've seen except the backer one. I don't mind the inconsistency so much except those really don't fit the others. All the ones by Kaz we've seen are amazing. I actually have a lot of fondness for BG1's portraits, but they are pretty goofy. Despite starting with your foster father getting murdered before your eyes, BG1 was not very serious in tone. Not to mention you had like two portraits to choose from and the rest belonged to NPCs. ALSO I love the modular portraits and I'm surprised it's taken so long for such an idea to be implemented.
