  1. Does anyone except me think that a triple lightsaber used like that one oriental bladed weapon (don't remember the name); spins from side to side and such, would not pwn? Plus it would add to the 'uniqueness' factor. My favorite saber configuration by the end of the game would be either dual wielding one hand HotG with Jenraux (+2 Damage, +7 BB Deflection) and Upari (+4 Attack, +1d12 Damage); and the other hand the MotF with Upari (+8 BB Deflection, +1 Hit, +1d6 Damage) and Solari for a LS PC (+4 Attack, +1d8 Damage, +2d6 DS) or Krayt Pearl for a DS PC (+4 Damage, +3 BB Deflection), or maybe even substitute a Bondar for the Upari (On Hit Paralysis, DC 14).....or the above mentioned config with the MotF because not only did I like the look better, but it had better stats overall. I have to say though, by the time I'd played the game through three times, I decided to heck with it, and used cheats so I could have dual MotF sabers, simply because I always thought Dual was classier than the staff, and I like the look of the same color better, in which case, I'd have the above configuration, with the second MotF saber being Upari+Bondar. Needless to say, any of these configurations will pwn just about any enemies, far too easy IMHO. Should've made it more strategy based. <_<
  2. :D 36-22-36 ? I couldn't care less. I picked a slightly european guy/girl in my games, because it was easier to identify with. Had there only been one, it wouldn't matter either. Edit: And it was ^&%$ difficult to play a girl! Impossible to identify with Really? I found it easy to identify with... I even found Carth almost likeable whilst playing as a fem. I do wish I could have romanced Bratstila in the original one as a fem though, thank Bob for the modding community. P.S. In fact, I rather liked playing a fem better than a guy once I got the lesbian mod, alot nicer to look at those rocking hips and luscious buttocks in hot pants mimicking armor than some guy in the same hot pants.
  3. Damn, this thread was funny. You made me laugh Banooby. P.S. Don't mess with Banooby, he's old sk00l.
  4. You have obtained Demi God status in my eyes for the above quoted statement.
  5. How about Facist Darwinism with a side of Nazi? That would to me describe it best....don't know though, as I'm not much of a philosophy buff (yet).
  6. I'm sorry, but I think this is an horrible idea. One of the reasons that KoTOR has been rated the best RPG of all time across all platforms is because of the romances. While I do like the other interactions, and look forward to them, cutting out the romance is simply awful. KoTOR was very inspiring to many, many people, due in large part to the character development that was there when the PC was drawing romantically closer to either Carth or Bastila. Romances are included in just about every piece of classical literature out there, from every genre. There is a universal appeal about them, which is one of the reasons why Baldur's Gate II was such an enormous success as well. The romances are one of the most talked about aspects of the game. The majourity of players love having them in there, and truly appreciate how much they added to the enjoyment of playing KoTOR. I know many, many people are looking forward to the romances in KoTOR 2, and when I asked at E3, I was informed by LA that there would be romances in the story. Looking at it from purely a writer's standpoint, love is the single most powerful and most used device out there. Using Star Wars, the Han/Leia romance aside, the catalyst for most of the movies was love. Luke's love for Obi Wan, Luke's love for his friends, and finally, Luke's love for his father. It's difficult to inspire that kind of devotion in a third person environment like a game without using the romance card. Please, please reconsider the romance option. I truly believe that KoTOR2 will suffer if it is left out, and many, many fans will be disappointed. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Adria, go back to the Bio Boards, we need no Temple of Carth here. P.S. I am for romances, in fact, I would like more people to optionally 'romance' than there were in KotOR. But for Bob's sakes, if you put in as annoying and bitchy a character as Carth, at least give the male PC the option to kill him as well, as he was at least half likeable when playing as a female. I mean, look at some of the names you get to call him, and compare them to the dialogue between Han and Leia in the OT. Very similar; and it was rather touching that he thought he could come back to the Star Forge and turn you away from you path of darkness. I ALMOST hestitated at killing him. It was rather sad really. But since the dialogue other than the romance portion was identical for both sexes of PC, it made him unbearable when playing as a male, and then you didn't even have the option to KILL HIM?!! WTF!!! And Adria, I by no means neccessarily want you to feel put off from this board, but should I hear some of the ghastly phrases that were uttered at the Bio Boards (Carthy Warthy comes to mind; UGH!), the flaming will follow shortly.
  7. Nice speculation but your writing style sucks monkey nipples. For Bob's sakes don't quit you day job and stay in school.
  8. I concur in this statement and even though he is a friend I ask that he change the sig or at least remove the pic and make the text a bit smaller Eddie (bl00dyw1zard) you bastard. <_< Anywho, the only reason the text is so damn big, is because I got tired of telling people to go to the sites in my sig, when my post, with the sig, was one post above where they asked. <_< Is the raccoon in the coonskin cap really all that bad?
  9. Gah! I get what you're saying now, sorry, I'm kinda slow sometimes. I'd say it's just coincidence, it seems less likely to me that the major plot twist would be hidden in Vader's name by conincidence than it being another word when you add 'In' to it.
  10. Why would he derive the name Sidious from Vader?
  11. Sidious is the Emperor. Has nothing to do with Vader other than that he was his sith master.
  12. Actually, Vader's name in either Dutch or German means 'Father'. It has nothing to do with Invader.
  13. I nominate myself for the title of rent-a-mod if they ever do expand.
  14. Ditto. In Star Wars lore, only THE MOST powerful force users are able to use a staff, because not only is it next to weightless, but it has two ends to worry about hitting yourself with rather than just one. I mean, if a normal person picked up a regular lightsaber, they'd be more likely to kill themselves than do any damage to anyone else, think of how the control factor would multiply with a staff.
  15. No, no, no, no. You guys have it all wrong. The twist is that the PC is his own grandpa!!!
  16. In the PC version the guy who comes to 'claim' Juhani is a purple Twi-lek, though I hear he was a Mandalorian in the Xbox version. <_<
  17. What makes you think that mod would have been any easier even with Bio's own development tools? There's no reason to assume that there's any way to put that property on a lightsaber. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. We don't know. I dunno, I assumed there was something similar to that as certain saber crystals make you saber have 'stun' and 'paralysis' qualities. I suppose that there might not have been the visual ice effect, but we won't ever know since they never gave us tools. There was also a nude bastila mod for KotOR. Those modders have very very naughty minds.
  18. You know what would be hilarious is if the droids stood next to a wall, and had a retractable electrical cord extending out of somewheres plugged into the wall and 'recharging'. But whatever, I wouldn't exactly be upset if they left it like it was in the first one, but it would be cool if they were doing stuff. I'm mainly indifferent, I was just trying to point out that even if they are going all over the ship doing stuff, it doesn't neccessarily mean you'll be hunting them down.
  19. Well, I mean, it's not like we didn't already know that Lucas was obsessed with CGI. I mean, on the Visual Effects Guild awards, or whatever the fook they called it, they credited Lucas as the founder of modern special effects. I never did get what was up with making Greedo shoot first though, I mean, it practically took away Han's bad assedness and made him into a mushy romantic. WTF?!!
  20. Or you could have some sort of radio system or loudspeakers where you summon them to where you are. Kinda like the party switching while in the middle of the world away from the Ebon Hawk. That way they could be carrying out tasks all over the ship, but you wouldn't have to hunt them down because you just push a little button, and they come to you.
  21. What?!! So you mean there's no Dev that Atton's personality traits were handed down to? Kinda like Carth was Woo in videogame form? <_<
