I kinda liked how they brought back the old skool Atari Lucasarts games as minigames in Rogue Squadron 3....some of those in KotOR2 perhaps? Wouldn't be at all hard to implement since there's already Atari Emulators for the computer, and the games are already made.

They are: Designing Modelling Painting (concept art, textures etc.) Engine tweaking (on no less than two platforms) Testing Adjusting game parameters More testing Discussing alternatives to plot dead ends Scriptiing Playing games writing documentation Debugging code Drinking coffee/soft drinks Doing overtime Making funny remarks about weird posters Discussing the validity of their project plans at the current time Preparing stuff for e3 Doing interviews with the gaming press Looking forward to some time off (probably somewhere around 2006/2007) Spending time with the publisher Planning builds, if they have to make cuts in the game Arguing about best approaches to seemingly insolvable problems Doing a bit of learning and improving their own skills every now and then Creating animations Did I leave something out ? I don't think you included writing the epic story, character interactions, plotline between the original and the new one, rewriting it to avoid plot holes, not to mention I expect a longer story with more dialogue than in the original, which already had more than any of the movies.

Jar Jar's got superior special effects on his side, but Wicket's got primitive muppet ingenuity. Plus, Jar Jar's a dips*** who couldn't hit someone with a blaster if his life depended on it. Whereas your point about being able to fool NPCs into thinking you're LS when you look so evil is valid, I have to disagree with not having the DS faces change at all. well, the hard dudes at least. i still remember the sith on the unknown world going "i increased my power tenfold blahblahblah". ZZZZZZZZZZT! "arrgh" i mean, come on. i was ALONE. they should've at least had some chance against me, what with being sith and all... (who's the master? who's the funky jedi master? that's right...) more evil lords with more cinematic (meaning LONG) fights. else it'll be just like in kotor. some quotes to make my point: "our master will be most pleas-"ZZZZT! "aaakkk" "die jed-"BZZZBZZZBZZZT! "aaaiiiieee" (thrown lightsaber) "you may have killed that pathetic bounty hunter, bu-- khhk hkkhhk. aakkkkh" (choke) "GROWLGROWLGRO-" ZZZZT! ZZZZT! (two lightsabers on dimwit wookie) It's sad how true that last part really is.

KotOR was the first CRPG I'd ever played.

I want several love interests though, and even though I don't think Lucasarts would sanction it, a lesbian romance between Juhani and a female Revan would have fit the plotline well, especially what with Juhani admitting she has a 'crush' on you, be that a strong emotional friendship or a sexual attraction, interpret what you may. DAMN YOU BIOWARE FOR LEAVING THAT DIALOGUE SO OPEN ENDED!!!

Well, that might have something to do with the fact that RotJ is less coherent, and has more plot holes than AotC.

How about enemy party members? I heard Baldur's gate does this but I've never played that one. (yet) Like, if you bring them along with each other on certain quest they let the other one die instead of helping them out....or even kill them themselves? :ph34r:

Mine was the same as well, and I am proud to say that I was a protagonist in the Padme vs. Bastila thread, the starter of the Padme vs. Furball thread (as those were the only two contenders by the end of the original) which got shut down within an hour or so, and was a constant harrasser of Woo. :angry:

What are you talking about? Simus was never Dark Lord Of The Sith! He wanted to be until Marka Ragnos came along and chopped his damn head clean off. Marka Ragnos was far more powerful than Simus ever was. As a matter of fact Marka Ragnos like Exar Kun used the Darkside of the force to save himself from true death. Kun tried to be resurected but failed and was destroyed, but Ragnos can still be brought back if Lucas would allow it. Cheers! I dunno, Simus's cheating death was more awe inspiring, after all, Kun had to take the life force of all of his Massassi followers to preserve himself. Simus kept himself alive through his own sheer darkness. :ph34r:

Actually, I found the Carth/Revan romance better than the Revan/Bastila romance. It was the one thing that didn't have me all out hatin Carth...I actually felt a little bad about slaying him after he came all that way to redeem me. But on the other hand, since Carth was designed to add to the female plotline, when you're playing as a male he's the whiny cowardly bastard we all know and despise. I'm still not quite sure why they only gave you the option of killing him in the storyline where you're most likely to actually have a fondness for him though. But try comparing some of the dialogue from a female Revan and Carth romance, to that of Han and Leia. Very, very similar. Especially the name calling. I have to say Carth's voice artist did a poorer job at it than Harrison Ford though, but if Harrison Ford voiced Carth, it would've cut off his bawls in the public's minds.

No, no, no, my friend. If Vader were more powerful than the Emperor....well, the Emperor would've been dead a lot sooner. That's the way the Sith work. Palpatine was incredibly powerful. He just rarely needed to use that power, seeing as how he was Emperor of the Galaxy. He let his Apprentice do the dirty work for him. I take it back anyway. Lord Simus was more powerful than Vader or Kun ever were. Dude kept his head alive in a glass case for several hundred years using Dark Magic. Only reason he was killed was because Sadow betrayed him and sent a blaster bolt through his head. :ph34r:

This really needs to have two threads, one for relative power, and one for devotion to the dark side. For instance, Vader was more powerful than the Emperor (always was) and quite possibly THE most powerful Dark Side character ever; I mean, even Yoda was runnin' scared of him....but he was redeemed, so he wasn't completely devoted (or devoured depending on how you look at it) by the dark side. I'd say in terms of devotion, it would have to be Exar Kun...that or he was too terrified of death for his own good, it's kind of hard to tell. < EDIT > Plus, wasn't Darth Maul only a Sith Lord apprentice? And Darth Vader for that mater. Well, sort of, Vader was Dark Lord for a couple of minutes I guess...but then again, by that time he had been redeemed...so that's kind of an oxymoron.

Or even better, if they released Dev tools with it for modding, custom implemented tattoos.

Well, my first first first first game, I was a light side up until the Leviathan....then when I found out I'd been duped, I lost it and went into a dark fury up until the temple...at which point I couldn't bear the thought of killing off Jolee and Cat woman....so ultimately I was rather grey. Man, most of the moderators on that site were too uptight.....whether that was because of influence of Woo or not is to be argued....did you hear about Sniper 69 getting banned for calling the volunteer mods 'rent-a-mods'?
