yea, im just going to borrow the xbox version and see how some xbox emulators work. if it doesnt work, then i'll have to wait till feb... My PC P3 900 640MB PC133 SDRAM 20GB Samsung 7200 RPM Chaintech GeForce FX 5200 SB Live Value <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There are no X-Box emulators that run any commercial games. It will be sometime before that happends. PS2 is coming along nicely however. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, Xeon's looking quite good. It's only been around about a month, and it's already running Halo perfectly, and Panzer Dragoon Orta, though admittedly a bit laggy. In a couple of months, I could easily see it running KotOR2, especially since the creator of the original Billy Gates Box Emulator (CXBX) is trying to contact _SF_ (Creator of Xeon) to collaborate. -

How to hold a lightsabre. Kotor 1 got this wrong.
Child of Flame replied to xG-9's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmmm not sure if a lightsabre blade would have any weight to it. There would possibly be air resistance though which would definately give a "feel" to the blade moving through the air. As for getting power behind a swing with a weightless blade, read up on my blurb on Katana use. The power behind a Katana swing doesn't come from the speed and momentum of the sword itself. Just a guess at a figure but I'd say that roughly 90-95% of the power in a Kenjutsu, etc strike come from the technique and the form. The weight of the entire body is put into a strike, much like how in martial arts, or boxing, they tell you not to "punch with your arms" but instead that the power in a punch is supposed to start from the feet and legs and move up through the body and into the arms. In much the same way, a Katana's power comes from putting the entire force of your body behind the strike. Earlier I wrote about how an expert wielder will use a Katana with two large groves in the blade, which aside from other purposes serves to lighten the blade significantly. The reason why this is desired only by experts is that it requires perfect technique to keep the power in the swing then, whereas if you have flawed technique you'll want a "solid" blade without the groves so if you make a mistake the blade will have more momentum to make up for flaws in the technique. With perfect technique you could have a very powerful swing even without any momentum in the blade. It is for the same reason, the amount of power behind these swings, that it is pretty much a futile attempt to try to parry or block a Kenjutsu swing with a 1-handed sword. It is a combination of the swing technique and the sharpness of the Katana that leads to the Katana's infamous reputation for cutting straight through the blade of lesser quality swords. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, I'm no swordsman, but I would also imagine there's quite a bit of leverage when using a grip as you've desribed, merely because you're using one hand to accentuate the efforts of the other. -

I'll borrow my friend's copy burn an ISO (illegal, but I'll still be buying the PC version, so hey, no harm, no foul. ), and give it back, meanwhile playing KotOR2 on a Billy Gates Box emulator. :D -
Chances are running an AMD you won't be able to without changing the voltages. Except for some of the Barton chips AMD locks their multipiers. Also with what some unscrupulous venders did when they unlocked them for a bit you robably wont see that happen again for some time. Barton core is the 2500 and up. I must say though I know someone who got a 2600 with unlocked multipliers and runs it a 3000XP speeds with no lock ups or crashes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got my Barton Core 2500+, locked multiplier, up to 3200+ speeds, no lockups or crashes. Ph34r my 1337 skills biznatch. All you really need is a good MOBO, and alot of trial and error. I recommend the DFI Lanparty Ultra B, as that's what I have, and comes with just about everything you could want on it. Plus a BIOS that has a bunch of special overclocking features, including the ability to save up to ten CPU settings.

I would just like to say that it's the attitude of killing as many 'towelheads' as possible that Weiser Cain shows, that causes sh!t like THIS to happen. Bog almighty, when are you people going to get it knocked into your heads that the people aren't going to welcome us with flower parades for invading their country and killing their people. -

Flames and crap? I really didn't think that what I said would be considered flaming.....I do however think it's laughable that you still say it's real. -
As far as something obtainable for you at this point, I have to recommend Ogre3d. There is quite a bit you can learn from it. I think the webpage is ogre3d.org. It's an open source object oriented 3d engine that is developed in c++. Why does that matter? I know a lot of people who can't spell and are still quite intelligent. I don't think that has anything to do with anything. Though I think proper spelling is good for presentation I would say anytime you need to do that you will have a spell check available. Telling someone to spell properly in forums/chat is just a little silly IMO. I think you are being way too hard on the guy for no reason at all. His only remotely stupid comment was about the bg programmers, but he's entitled to his opinion just like those of us who like to insult microsoft, lol. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, just trying to give the kid a reality check. I'm less than two years older than him and I can see the utter fallacy of his plans. Meh.

Did you ever even see my boycott plan? I was gonna send $20 into Obsidian so they WOULDN'T get screwed over. In fact, it would have been a bigger cut than they'd have gotten anyway. Then I was gonna pick up KotOR2 when it dropped down to $10, that way, no money off my wallet. But a boycott doesn't work if it's only one person, and since the populace of these boards apparently have no willpower..... Meh. -
Dude, don't go trying to change positions on it now, you started this whole thing more or less. On the other hand, I do have to agree with a stand-up comedian I saw on Comedy Central recently. When you think about it, being called gay by a homophobe isn't really that much of an insult.....They dress better, they're more polite for the most part, and women dig them more than straight guys.
