  1. At first I thought that the +1 athletics +1 constitution bonus was good, but then you do a quest in defiance bay and you get a free +2 athletics +1 constitution bed. I think that all the bonuses you add to the keep should apply when you rest there, the drawback being that they are all meager +1 bonuses.
  2. Stands in a forest for days waiting for persoc ... Wait, without athletics? She must need a lot of camping supplies!
  3. One huge reason for multiclassing a wizard in BG2 was either so that they could use better weapons (Fighter / Mage) or so that they could handle traps and locks (Thief / Mage). The way that PoE is designed, you do not need to multiclass for those purposes. You can use any weapon or armour on your wizard, and you can give them mechanics. They even start with a bonus to mechanics! How useful.
  4. People dont rate the bonus spell talents very highly.
  5. Huge problem with this is my raid 0 SSDs are not my windows drive. PoE saves games to my windows drive. Just create a symbolic folder! (So, move the game to your ssd drive and link a symbolic folder to it). My friend configured his steam folder to run on another drive... so tested and true! Thats not at all what my problem was. It matters not where your game is installed if the game decides to save to your C drive regardless. Its the single most annoying thing that game developers need to stop doing. Saved games should be stored in the games installation folder not in my documents.
  6. Your warrior cant cast spells because he's a freaking warrior. Non chanter classes cant chat because they're not chanters. How lame can these arguments get?
  7. You still get XP for killing stuff. Its just finite. Plus the enemies drop loot.
  8. THIS GAME IS NOT DND!!! Multiclassing will not work in PoE.
  9. Huge problem with this is my raid 0 SSDs are not my windows drive. PoE saves games to my windows drive.
  10. As a powergamer, the NPCs horrify me. Like what kind of a noob created those in the first place? Does a single one even have an 18 stat? Like in BG1, at least there was Minsc, Viconia, Edwin, all whom were super specced for their roles.
  11. Bioware went down the gutter, like everything that EA touches.
  12. You can easily beat the entire game on hard without using any custom adventurers. PotD as well, it just makes combat even easier to min-max every party member. I really don't think you understood what I wrote. Try again.
  13. Prtscr > alt tab > open paint > ctrl v. Or if playing through steam, enable screenshots, default button f12.
  14. I play these games entirely combat and build perfection obsessed. I enjoy the story to the point of not wanting to take the horrible pre made companions with me.
  15. It depends on the role of the character. However my backline squishy wizard and priest still have 16 con. Why? Because perception and resolve are meaningless to them. 20 might / 16 con / 17 dex / 3 per / 19 int / 3 res. Helps them not get 1 shotted all the time.
  16. I spend all my talents on implements because a mere +20% damage boost to spells plus 4 talents needed per element is horse**** when spells like chill fog / firewall hit for sometrhing like 6-10 damage per tick. Wizards do plenty of attacking in between spell casts, and 9 levels before you can cast level 1 spells per encounter is over 2/3 of the game. Even after level 9, you can cast a chill fog or 2 and spam your blast auto attack on enemies inside it., Perfectly viable and strong throughout the game.
  17. Its a wizard. If I wanted to focus solely on ranged combat Id have made/used a rogue or ranger. You end up spending all your resources on boosting their accuracy. What a waste. Elemental talents are far more useful for buffing their spells and takes less talents than you who admittedly had to spend every single talent on making them not suck at ranged combat. 20% more damage to fan of flames. Saying their less useful because they have a number of spells that are buffed by the talents is literally nonsense. The DR boost is welcome too. Especially freeze DR. Rogue / Rangers dont have wizard spells lol. Aslo Im use the implement build with a full ranged backline anyway, just without useless rogues / rangers. Zealous Endurance + Zealous Focus arbalest paladins, Wael or Magran Priest, and Wizard. Could throw in a chanter but I like the double Zealous modals.
  18. I use that spell a lot, do Implement talents work on it too? If so then Im def not changing my mind. Implements ftw. Also Im sure marksman works on that spell too.
  19. But I dont need those 25% elemental boosts for my spells to still kill stuff.
  20. So from all the quests prior to Caed Nua I got: Not finished Raedrics yet as I want to kill both this time.
  21. Good point there, its a useless spell. And there needs to be an enemy wizard for it to work. Better to just cast a firewall instead.
  22. Yes I've taken Blast / Penetrating Blast / Dangerous Implements / Marksman / Weapon Focus Noble on my Wizard on Potd and it works great. You can toggle Dangerous Implements on and off. Also use it with merciless gaze for lots of crits. And no, the elemental utility talents are nowhere near as useful for a wizard as their spells cover a lot of elements, I'd rather focus on implements or guns / arbalests. I also have a priest that can cast consecrated ground to nulify dangerous implements health drain, and not only that even the holy Radius heals enough mid battle to make it easy to keep dangerous implements in use.
