  1. Oh kits / prestige classes would be great, even better if you had to unlock them in game.
  2. The way the talents work in this game, there is no need for multiclassing. E.G. you can turn a wizard into a gunner if you rally want. The weapon and armour choices arent as narrowly limited as they used to be in the old DnD games.
  3. The ones in Madhmar bridge cause defiance bay reputation loss, a shame because one of them had the Aedyr clothing.
  4. Its not just a few, its 1 per quest and theres a LOT of quests. And I did it: But Im 300 gold short for a botanical garden, need to head to Raedrics Hold and get looting.

Well this is all the XP I managed to get up to Caed Nua without completing any quests and just getting explorer and killing XP: And Im so insane that I merely respecced my paladins from 18 / 17 / 8 / 19 / 8 / 8 to the above ... I didnt want their deflection gimped and only managed to squeeze on +4 dex for those slow arbalests (they had zero use for con you see except for emergency off tanking in which case defelction helps more anyway). I managed to sneak past all the shades to the caed Nua entrance, now I need to somehow kill Maerwald with a level 3 wizard and level 2 everything else on Potd ... I ... just ... halp. Oh right, and theres shades at the start inside Caed Nua, I need to kill those somehow .. 1000 reloads later ....
  7. ... Just started a new game after learning about the botanical garden only giving plants after finishing quests, and because I wanted to respec a couple of character. Is there a cure for respec-itis?
  8. Yes so for future playthroughs do Caed Nua right after taking to the dead dwarf without finishing a single other quest, then rest spam until the botanical garden is built, and then do the rest of the game.
  9. Because role play reasons. The stash sucks. Would be fun if you stored stuff in chests in your keep, bandits could steal it based on your security, and you could hunt them down to recover it.

  11. Respawning mobs make zero sense in a game like this. You kill all the mobs. Then you start a new game. Then you kill all the mobs again.. Then you start a new game. The cycle continues.
  12. I'd prefer they stick to 2D. It's more pleasing to (my) eyes By the time they work on Pillars 2, this engine would (hopefully) be freed from most of its kinks. Keep Pillars 2D, kickstart a new space cRPG i.p. in 3D Obsidian could be making so much money right now. I agree with this.
  13. Spiderweb software is still around and selling well though. Just that Im not paying £15 for Avernum 2 since its barely a £5 worth game.
  14. Hmmm, field triage with 4 points in survival, and the other self heal one at 6 points ... That's a great suggestion.
  15. God, I hate bloom. Oblivion had so much bloom that everything looked fuzzy. They overuse bloom in a lot of games to hide to poor quality textures.

  17. I really hope talents will become easy to mod into the game. Critical Focus - 5% of hits converted to crits, 1.15x critical damage.

Id prefer keeping the 2D for the one reason that whenever developers switch to 3D they never get it right ... - Not enough max zoom out - Too much desire to turn it into third / first person hack n slash - Too much bloom Though DAO did get a lot of things right in a 3D engine, nothing else has for this type of game.
  19. A lot of the general talents are just useless. Maybe merge / improve their usefulness. Some examples: One resistance talent - +10 to all resists (replaces individual useless +10 ones). Spell Power - +25% spell damage (replaces all the individual elemental ones). Merge the two health healing talents together into one stronger one that can be used on self or or allies (maybe +150 heath).
  20. All the mechanics. Keep them all. Rebalance wherever rebalance is due.
  21. But they could have made 3D fixed iso view CRPGs, like the ARPG genre continued with Sacred 2 / Torchlight series / Diablo 3 / Path of Exile. I never understood why this never happened with CRPGs.
  22. Also I thought Morrowind was the one and still one of the best 3D RPGs ever. Very few others engrossed me as much as Morrowind did.
