What are you playing now
Funny I had it the other way around, liked it first time - but stopped playing New Vegas this time all together an hour or so into Old World Blues. But yeah, it's pretty Venture Bros - especially with James Urbaniak's/Dr. Venture's Voice.

New Scientific Discoveries, Part Deux
Not a discovery per say, but an interesting 'cause and effect' of releasing wolves into Yellow Stone Park. How Wolves Change Rivers The Future is Now. Hugh Herr on the new Bionic Legs (go to 17:05 to see a somewhat pathos, but effective example of this - a former dancer and Boston bomber victim)

What you did today
Lovely 20C and sunny out, so went for a stroll with Purple Hair. Walking around a cemetery/park called "The Assistent's Cemetery". Found a huge Mauseleoum/grave from 1723. Crazy to think it's been there for almost 300 years...

Finished XCom, once you know how to do the final battle is extremely easy - 2 snipers and it's over in the first turn.

Have you had any line of sight issues with Enemy Within? I really wanted to like XCOM, especially on harder difficulties and ironman mode, but the issues with the engine made that pretty hard for me. Like first one my soldier doesn't have a line of sight from a place where he sure as hell should have, and the next turn I'm able to throw a grenade through two solid walls. I'm prefectly okay with me doing a mistake and suffering because of that, but if I lose a soldier because the engine says "hehe, **** you buddy"... well, you all have seen The Exorcist. Yeah I had some issues like that, the worst one was exactly when my sniper should be able to see and hit a target, but couldn't. Which was annoying .. Not so often that it's a problem though.

Some Xcom Enemy Within, really enjoy the MECHs - they look and play absolutely menacing. And also how the Meld resource forces you to move a little quicker, it's a little cheesy gamey mechanic, but it works. Being able to genetically modify your super psy soldiers makes the game a little easy in the mid to late game though.

What you did today
Invited with Purple Hair home to a director (she studies cinematography), who was promoting his new movie .. He personally invited about 20 students from her class to a private screening in his home. I've never really bothered a lot with Danish film making, so I didn't know the talent very well, but it was pretty interesting getting invited none the less. The movie was fairly standard, good even - but have been butchered in the reviews, which is why he invited some young people over, to get some input on modern internet marketing.

What you did today
I shook my head today.. A small Christian community on one of the Island of Denmark are all convinced that Pokemon cards are the work of Satan.. And apparently burning cards is now the new craze (pardon the pun) for this little community - Their preacher was healed of a minor paralysis after burning a card and soon the trend spread, healing everything from numbness, pain and back aches.. "Good" to see that religiously fueled superstition is still going strong in the 21st century. I wonder if it's a coincidence that the preacher is American?

Black and Blue is awesome, I have a pretty wicked Faerie deck myself Notorious Throng and Oona's various Fays are rather fun, like the Blackguard.. Managed to get 3 turns in a row and took out 4 players at once with 2 of those. Yum yum And right not I've made myself a pretty good human sacrifice to Zombies deck. People tend to get nervous when your start killing your own to fuel magic.
