  1. It's simply because they keep their games fun I think - say what you want, but I always have fun playing a Bethesda game. In much the same way Bioware and Creative Assembly had some adament fans, they kept their games fun too.. and when Rome II, ME3 and DA2 came along they skipped a little too hard on the fun/"just one more turn" parts and fans suddenly got seriously aggressive about the faults.
  2. Decided to replay some Skyrim for fun when I'm taking breaks from studying. Gonna build an unarmed Khajit this time, going heavy armor, fist of steel, dual flurry (for increased atack speed) and then using the enchantment from the Gloves of the Pugilist to boost my unarmed stats to crazy levels.. If I focus on stamina and unarmed damage enchantmets, I think I can build a Cat that can Falcon Punch a Dragon to death. :D
  3. Saw that elsewhere too, love how stereo typical they are haha.. The french with things like duck confit, venison pâté and nougat.
  4. Very true, but generally I think we'd be better off with the kind of slave dogma that demands tolerance and social stigmatize those that disagree than one that aggressively coerces and segregates.
  5. Tbh I don't know if there's anything exotic, we haven't tried, that I would really want to do. But generally a good idea, I think I'll go swing by the bar tonight, have a pint or two and go home with her.
  6. Should be studying, but I'm really not in the mood. Nothing I do seem to really excite me or even cause any emotion.. Just bored and under-stimulated today. Busy day and week ahead though so I hope that gets me energized.
  7. Mostly in bed..
  8. Olympics in Russia indeed.
  9. Yeah those fever hallucinations are crazy. Back in November I got pretty ill with the flu, for about a day I felt that a presence was watching over me and helping me. I felt I understood how religious people tick at that point.
  10. ^ that's essentially Allan Carr's method, it basically kills your mental/emotional addiction and leaves you with the physical one - which dies out in a couple of weeks. Helped me stop instantly, even after 10 years of smoking.
  11. This is the stage where most people get stupid ideas that send them reeling back into mortally ill - keep still for at least a day more so your body has a chance to recover.
  12. Please make a separate thread (or necro post) for lists of favorite games
  13. Old thread here. I enjoyed Lords of Magic. though factions and heroes were totally unbalanced. An an Air Rogue the game was a breeze (doh stupid puns write themselves). As a Fire Warrior not so much. The game came witha pretty neat Map Editor though. If the internet had been more widespread back then, allowing for larger communities , easier hosting, upload and download, you probably would have seen a lot more user-made content for the game. This is the problem I have with Total War games. My 300 against their 1500...I lose 10-20 guys and the enemy loses 1200-1300. The AI is always stupid in that it tends to rush ahead with its cavalry if it has great superiority, which leads to me quickly trying to take out said cavalry, which then leads to me picking off their ranged units with my cavalry with only lines of infantry to weave through...which then typically leads to me charging one unit of infantry from two opposing sides, causing them to rout, and then again for another unit or two, which subsequently causes a mass rout. I always build my stacks with Cavalry in mind, and tend to win every battle and always feel like I'm cheating. "Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance." -Sun Tzu, the Art of War
  14. Closed due to length, continued here.
  15. I see there's no real point for this other than antagonism.
  16. Not so much funny as interesting/neat (and really didn't know where else to put it)
  17. It is, but I've also heard ghost stories and stories of telepathy etc from serious, grounded people. Perspective, light, shadow and perception can play a lot of tricks on a mind. And if experiences something it hasn't before, then it might find extra ordinary explanations to make sense of that.
  18. Ideally I'd agree, but you live in the only true western superpower, so your country is of greater geo-political concern than ours and directly influencing us, hence the bigger focus and hence the opinions.
  19. Got a little bummed over the fact that Philip Seymore Hoffman died - always liked his acting.
  20. Nah, it seemed so rough (as in almost untouched by Obz) that I decided to forgo it. Plus droids are not my thing, the HK factory part felt like a bit of a chore as it is.
  21. Checking the quality of salt before body tequila.. apperantly important for drunk me last night.
  22. You're welcome, you guys did an awesome job.. and I was planning on doing a replay with the big update coming. I made them all Jedi so they confronted Kreia together.. But I'm guessing you mean the confrontations? and yeah I'd love to see the two different outcomes where the companions fight. It happens if they are different alligments right?
  23. Nerdy pickup-lines
