6 hour train ride back to my old hometown and family house. Very meditative.. Tonight I decided to be honest with them about a lot of the issues I've had with them over the years. It went a little better than expected, but mostly just happy I said it and was honest about it.

I can label most of your eastern, southern and western states, but no idea about the middle and northern ones.. but for you they are different yes, for us you guys are very very similar.. Travel a 100 miles here and everyone speaks, eats, dresses and behaves radically different. For you there's a noticable difference over a 1000 miles.

Woops, filled in my petitum / curriculum wrong and now the administration wants me to redo ALL of my applications for next year for some reason... I got a deadline until the 2nd Dec. to get it fixed and I have to go to jutland for the weekend. So that leaves tomorrow. Hope I can get it done there...

Hmm, yeah I think you're right. Scandinavian theater and Danish or Norwegian in particular, has a tendency to be very emotionally detached - Niclolas Winding Refen's "Drive" is a perfect example of a Danish emotional approach mixed with the violence of American productions...

I think medister with fried vegetables with beans and hummus on the side. I like to eat either "tapas" style with several small independent dishes or Chili Con Carne / Gullasch style with one bit pot of all the ingredients.

Saw Flight the other day. Not terribly exciting but Denzel did his usual act (which is good). I mean say what you want about American cinema, but at the acting pretty much always good.
