What are you playing now?
Knights of The Old Republic with the restoration mod.. I never actually finished a game with it, and I have to say Malachor V suddenly makes a lot of sense But overall a much much more awesome experience as the story becomes so much more fleshed out. Especially the end, where your choices and companions actually matter.

Movies you've seen recently
3 movies today. I got ditched by a friend due to a glitch with some transport, so I'm just spending the day inside (too cold out) Kick Ass 2 - meh.. not good not bad, they took too many of the boring tropes too far and ended up too cliché. Elysium - I liked it.. dumb enough to be fun, intelligent enough not to be boring. Seeing Gravity - half way in and definitely digging it so far.

Odd questions
Our system works best with a fair degree of inefficiency (to keep up constant production), lack of safety and overall frustration (to keep people spending money and investing in the system). Modern consumerism requires an unnaturally high degree of consumption, which needs to be fueled by an overall feeling of dissatisfaction.

I've decided to actually finish Kotor2 with the restoration mod. So far still on Peragus, man it feels like a decade since I played this (and it probably almost is )

What you did today
The sound probably came from the cartilage in your nose, it does tend to make a snapping sound if it's hit hard enough.. At least that's how my nose is. Today I finished the last episode of Star Trek Deep Space 9 .. Now I have no 'default' tv show to fall back on if I have an odd hour I don't know what to do with.. I might have to actually read now or something.

Your relation to your vassal is really important and choosing an unpopular religion or culture when making a custom king, can seriously hurt your ability to field an army. I've lost a few games that way too ... it's just that much more satisfying when you suceed of course..

The Funny Things Thread.
Oh god had to share this gold, from a acquaintance of mine. She was working as a wardrobe girl at a cabaret event, when this 50something transvestite comes in, he's friendly they smalltalk and he hands her his glimmer jacket and a string. Now she pretty confused by the string of course and simply stand there starring at it for a while, until - by pure reflex - she tugs it.. This lifts his skirt and reveals that the string is in fact tied around his clean shaven *private area*. They share a tender moment of complete disillusion and confusion. He politely coughs with all the suburban indignation he can muster, straightness his dress, mumbles a few intelligible words, takes back the string and walks away in the most dignified way he could.

I have to admit, it's interesting how it works out. The author wrote Reacher as this huge guy purely to give that sense of implacable, unstopping nature and he was initially against Cruise because he isn't a big guy. But Cruise manages to convey all of that just with the personality he infused into the character, which is kind of impressive by itself. Yeah, there was really only one scene where it didn't work. At one point the detective asks a hotel clerk if she has any residents that kill someone in one punch, and she mentions a pseudonym that Reacher was using. Tom Cruise doesn't really look lke the type that could kill with one punch That being said, he exuded charm and intelligence, and by the end a real sense of dangerousness. Saw it and have to agree with all of the above.. Good acting, interesting plot and a good movie..

I look forward to it, but I'll be playing the DLCs later at some point, I'm a little saturated at the moment.

Middle age parent digging your kids cartoons? Here's a thread for you!
Adventure Time is awesome.. and in many ways made for adults too I think. Have you seen Bravest Warriors? It's Pendleton's cartoons for 20somethings with hangovers. On Cartoon Networks youtube channel "Cartoon Hangovers"

Saints Row IV.. The story and super powers are pretty cool, but it gets a little too repetitive since you basically played all the same activities to death in SR3. Minor spoiler; They always win me over with the crazy missions though - at one point you fight a super villiain version of yourself and a later an awesome Double Dragon style sidescroll beat-em-up.
